The Surtidor features a more lower set bridge design, with a shield generator located in front of and behind the bridge in lower set positions to make them harder to target. It can carry a total of 24,000 Stormtroopers, with 48 Starfighters acting as aerial support. To further protect it and ward off attacks, it has 12 Quad Turbolaser Cannons, 6 Triple Turbolaser Cannons, and 12 Dual Turbolaser Cannons.
