Created after the invasion of Dromund Kaas, at the Dromund Kalakar Shipyards, the Blackguard-Class Star Dreadnaught was the Blackguard Imperium's first ever designed dreadnaught that would stand on par with its Imperial counterparts. Significant improvements were made over the design, including redundant shield generators for better defense and an advanced targeting system for superior firepower. 8 Heavy Turbolaser batteries, 80 twin heavy turbolaser batteries, 40 twin medium turbolaser batteries, 40 twin ion cannons, 40 quad point defense laser cannons, 12 heavy proton torpedo tubes and 12 tractor beam emitters was the full armament of this warship, all evenly distributed on both port and starboard sides. It could carry a complement of 144 starfighters and 28,000 troops, making it an ideal vessel for not only ship-to-ship combat but also ground assaults.
