Using the Sovereign-Class Super Star Destroyer schematics (stolen during the Sith'ari's days as a High Admiral within the First Order), as a testbed, the Revenant was born. Utilizing most of the Sovereign's technical information and specifications, the Revenant was specifically built with a reinforced prow, allowing for ramming capabilities. Built after the Sith Worlds Campaign, at the Dromund Kalakar Shipyards, the Revenant was built to stand on par or potentially surpass its Imperial counterparts. It could carry a combined total of 480 starfighters of varying classes and was capable of supporting 130,000 troops for planetary occupations.
Boasting 4 orbital autocannons on its underside, 500 heavy laser cannons—200 to the front and 150 to the left and right—which each required two organic gunners or one single droid, and 500 turbolaser batteries—150 front, 100 to the rear, and 125 each on the left and right. In addition, the Revenant-class possessed 75 ion cannons split equally between the front and sides, and 100 tractor beam emplacements, with 55 to the front, 5 to the rear, and 20 each to the left and right. Five gravity well projectors rounded out the vessel's armament, making it a formidable vessel, and one of the strongest in the Imperium's Navy.
