Manufactured at Dromund Kalakar after the Sith Worlds Campaign, the Gage II-Class Frigate was intended to create an actual warship rather than an armored transport. And so, the Gage II was made. Retaining the size of its predecessor and keeping in line with the 'wolf pack' mentality, the reinforced prow and redundant shield generators were added in, along with more weapons to increase its offensive capabilities.
Armed with 16 Turbolaser Cannons, 8 Twin Turbolaser Cannons, and 4 Point Defense Laser Cannons, the Gage II shares its predecessors ability to be configured to care either troops or starfighters. In the starfighter configuration, it carries 24 starfighters. In the trooper configuration, it carries 2,000 troopers.
