Based off of the original Scimitar, once used by Darth Maul, the Scimitar II was an improvement upon that design. Pushed into production after the Sith Worlds Campaign, the first of the line was built at the Dromund Kalakar Shipyards.

Sporting a more angular design over its predecessor, the Scimitar II incorporated all of the successful elements of the original design, while giving a slight overhaul where needed. The engines were overhauled to increase speed and performance, the solar ionization cannons were removed and replaced with twin laser cannons, one on either side of the main cockpit. Advanced sensors and a jamming suite, combined with the Stygium Cloaking Device, ensured the vessel was untraceable and undetectable while actively remaining hidden from the enemy. The craft was capable of carrying six passengers, only required one pilot and could carry 2.5 metric tons of cargo.
