Description:
The Astarii-class Shield Fighter took the design principles of the Empyrean-Class Guardian Space Station and the Stormborn-class Jedi Star Defender, and placed them into a starfighter sized ship. Featuring redundant shield generators and extended shield range, the Astarii is meant to provide the Jedi with a swarm of ships that can link up and work in formation to provide a modular shield of protection. During naval combat, a swarm of Astarii can form up in front of a capital ship to provide some temporary relief from enemy fire. While during ground operations, they can be deployed to protect vital infrastructure or an entire city with enough ships.
The Astarii features a pair of laser cannons and a single torpedo launcher. It also comes equipped with a hyperdrive as standard.
