Description:
Having been developed with the Cooperation of Pammant Docks, the MC 160 Star Cruiser, also refered to as the Neebray type Star Cruiser, is the latest innovation of Mon Calamari Shipyards under the Quarren Dominion's leadership. Giving the need of an interdiction-capable vessel while following the concept of inducing fear upon the opponents by sheer size, the Neebray-type Star Cruiser also includes the need of the Dominion for more swarm ships upon a larger scale while serving as a staging point for planetary invasions. Combined with the Mon Calamari shield system, the carrier's shields only suffer slightly from the high ammount of energy needed to power the two gravity well projectors, located within the wing sections of the massive carrier. Like predecessor models the M160 features a Class 1 hyperdrive and a 9.0 backup hyperdrive.
Having derived important main elements from carriers like the Providence-class, the MC160 acts as a carrier with a wide central hangar bay at the length of 1,700 meters and a wing-span of 3,400 meters. Armed with 44 point defense laser cannons, 18 heavy turbolaser cannons and 4 tractor beam projectors, the MC160 relies heavily on fleet support, as it can only hold its own against enemy starfighters in case of emergency. It can carry an ammount of 288 starfighters along with 10 support-class vessels, while also offering two docking bays for the much larger MC20 transporter. Furthermore it is able to transport 12,000 troops, 4 Supreme vehicles, 40 heavy vehicles, 120 medium vehicles and 240 light-class vehicles.
