---Jedi Shadows Defense Fighter Screen---
10 Jedi Shadows Delta-7 Jedi Starfighters, from 'Nova' Squadron, having spent some time resting aboard the Eternal Glory's hangar, take off from the hangar and resume their assistance in patrolling Endor's Orbit alongside the Phantom Fleet. They resume a tight defensive formation and resume patrols.

The swirling blues of the hyperspace tunnel the AIAT/i has been traveling through give way suddenly to the vast sea of stars that surrounds the forest moon of Endor, and the ship's pilot slows the vessel to ahead dead slow as she looks at the tiny green and blue, cloud enshrouded moon that has been her home for so long now as it seems to grow closer in the forward viewport.
After comming the Jedi Shadows Enclave to let them know that she and her twin sister have returned and are inbound, Kaiya closes her blue eyes to reach out through the Force for the mind of her sister, sending an image of what she sees through the forward viewport to let Ellie know that they have arrived at last, the image accompanied by the complex mixture of emotions Kaiya feels now that they are here - worry for her Master, excitement at the prospect of seeing their friends, apprehension about what the Masters might do in light of all that had happened on their failed mission, and beneath it all, since they have never hidden anything from one another, the concern for her sister that learning of her struggle with the Darkside has left her with.

*Ellie was awoken from her sleep by something stirring in the Force. The image of Endor from high orbit filled her mind, closely followed by her sisters emotions. Ellie sat up and shook her head, clearing the grogginess. She felt like she had only been sleeping for a few minutes, but the chrono on the desk beside her said otherwise. Standing up, Ellie slowly made her way to the cockpit. She stretched out her sore muscles as she went along. After finally getting some rest, her body began to tell her how bad she was really hurting. She adjusted the lightsaber on her belt as she entered the cockpit and sat down.* "Well, that didn't take as long as I thought it would. Now. Lets see if we can get The Gladiator to the enclave without wrecking her." *Kaiyas emotions still milled around in Ellies head. Mainly the feelings of worry. She knew exactly what her twin was concerned about, and Ellie couldn't blame her for it. Shaking her head, she turned to her sister and gave a slight grin.* "And yes. I'm going to keep the ship."

Standing up so that Ellie can take the pilot's seat, Kaiya stretches her arms over her head and groans as she arcs her spine backwards to work the stiffness out of it, smiling as her sister notes that the journey did not take as long as she had thought it would. Bending over to touch her toes, Kaiya says, "I suppose that's one benefit of sleeping during hyperspace travel; it does tend to make any trip go by quickly, doesn't it? Putting her hands on her hips and bending from one side to the other with a worried look when her twin speaks of getting the ship to the enclave without wrecking it, Kaiya asks, Is that really a concern vod? I assumed you knew how to handle this beast pretty well since you got it to Bimmissarai in one piece. Reaching up to massage her neck muscles, Kaiya grins as she asks, Wait, why wouldn't you be keeping her? Arching an eyebrow inquisitively as she settles into the co-pilot's seat, Kaiya asks, Where . . . or maybe I should ask how did you wind up piloting The Gladiator exactly? We're cleared to land, by the way, she says as she waits for the story of how Ellie wound up in possession of the AIAT/i, so you can start our descent anytime now."

"Sleep does do wonders." *Ellie said, half paying attention as she went about preparing the ship for decent.* "No, I really don't see crashing as a concern. Like you said, I got this thing to Bimmissarai by myself. So this should be easy." *The ship gave a small shudder as it began to move forward. Endor began to grew in the view port with each passing minute. "I'm worried that they wouldn't let us keep the ship, or at least hold it in storage, because we're not Jedi Knights. Which is kind of annoying, considering how old we are." The Gladiator gave a large shudder this time as the vessel hit orbit. Ellie adjusted the ships trajectory slightly to keep them from coming in to fast. She gave a sideways glance at her twin.* "The ship belonged to a group of slavers on Ryloth. From the look of it though, they had abandoned it days before. Luckily for me it still worked. Well....that is until a group on Mandalorians shot some of it a part." *She was about to tell her sister about that part, instead gave a slight grin and decided to tell her later. Giving the ship a little more throttle, she guided it on towards the Enclave.*

*A quick flash of light appeared across the darkness of space as three frigates materialized from hyperspace. The vessels quickly slowed their pace to a crawl remaining well outside Endors long range scanners. The two smaller frigates formed up on the larger vessel, the Sirus. From the bridge of the lead ship, a pair of black and green eyes scanned the information displayed across the ships tactical screen. Every detail recovered from the ships scout druids was now displayed for all on bridge to see. From the helm a voice spoke up.*
"Captain. We are approaching the edge of the planets scanner range. "
*The owner of the black and green eyes turned her attention to the helmsman. She stepped away from the tactical display and moved to the forward viewport. Without looking towards the man, she spoke with a voice that commanded authority.* "Helmsman. Bring us to a full stop." *The command was quickly carried out. Soon all three ships came to a halt just outside sensor range. The tension on the bridge was almost tangible as the crew waited for what was coming next. The Captain gave a final nod to the helmsman. As one, the engines on all three vessels roared to life. They would be deep within sensor range, and close enough to jam any distress signal before anyone knew what was going on.
*The captain watched all three of her ships on the display. Each one had a specific task, the Sirus was the flagship, the Orion was loaded with jamming devices and other sensors, the Cobalt had been stripped of most of her insides to make room for troops. Four hundred in all resided in the Cobalts belly. Each soldier was improved with cybernetics, and ready to prove their worth. The captain turned her eyes onto the rapidly growing planet. Soon the galaxy would know that their here, but was the galaxy ready for them?*

First among the forest moon's defenders to become aware of the impending threat are three X-wing pilots conducting a CAP that takes them near enough to spot the three frigates that have begun to approach the moon. The CAP leader instructs his starboard wingman to contact the Victory II-class SD they set out from as he attempts to hail the vessels to no avail. The reason for the lack of response is all too clear when his wingman informs him that his transmissions are being jammed.
Ordering his wingmen to turn and burn for home, the CAP leader banks his starfighter and maxes out his speed while instructing his astromech to try and see if it cannot do something about the jamming. Ignoring the droid's chittering and beeping, the CAP leader quickly checks his instruments and chrono. The CAP is set to return to nest in fifteen minutes, at which time the Vic will know something is up if they fail to do so, but can reach the VIC II in five . . . if they can survive that long.
The starfighter pilots keep their eyes on their threat indicators as they race for their nest to let at least one ship in the fleet know of the threat approaching the forest moon they are tasked with defending from harm . . .

*Dusk's eyes turned from the planet below to the three red dots that appeared on the tactical screen. Her eyes narrowed as the targets highlighted as x-wing fighters.* "Flight officer. Dispatch a squadron of fighters to take care of those x-wings." *The flight officer gave a nod before sending orders to the hanger.* "Contact the Orion. I want the sabotage droids ready, I'm expecting company." *She activated her comlink, sending orders to the Cobalt. A confirmation message was sent back to Dusk's comlink. Dusk watched as the Cobalt broke away from the group and headed towards the planet. Her attention then turned to the squad of six fighters that launched from the Sirus. They were arrowhead shaped and painted solid black, their blue ion engines gave a faint glow as they moved to intercept the x-wings. The Sirus and Orion also began to move, making towards the distant star destroyer. Their goal was to stop short of the vessels attack range and launch the sabotage droids *

I see them, the CAP leader tells his astromech when the droid beeps and whistles to let him know that six hostiles have begun to pursue him and his two wingmen. Opening a comm channel to his fellow pilots, the CAP leader says, We've got six hostiles inbound, closing fast. Stay on course and keep your speed maxed, we may be able to outrun them. If they close into weapons range, Cath and I will turn to intercept. Ona, you'll stay on course, try and make it to the nest to let them know what's happening.
Rolling his neck from side to side after his fellow pilots have rogered, his eyes never leaving his instruments or the six blips closing on his position, the CAP leader flexes the fingers of his right hand and, mouth set in a grim line, tries to coax a bit more speed out of his XJ7.
On the bridge of the Victory II-class SD, the first to become aware of the approaching danger is the sensor operator, who spots the 3 returning XJ7's a moment before the 6 unidentified fighters that are closing rapidly on their position. The bridge of the SD shifts quickly into the controlled dance of practiced crewmen when, not long after the order has been given to launch a squadron of XJ7's to go to the aid of the returning CAP, the comms operator reports that all signals are being jammed, and the sensor operator reports that long distance sensors pick up the two larger unidentified ships that are also closing on their position.
Giving the order to raise shield and begin preparing all turbolasers, heavy turbolasers, and ion cannons for firing, the Vic II's captain settles into her command chair and watches events unfolding on her boards for a moment before ordering the helmsman to bring them about so that they will be head on to the approaching vessels, presenting a smaller target profile. Instructing her comms operator to try and establish contact with either the approaching unidentified vessels, or with any of the other fleet vessels in orbit, the captain narrows her eyes as she watches the holographic tactical display to try and guess what the unidentified vessels will do next.

*The fighters broke into groups of three, each targeting an x-wing. Once in ranging, they open fired. Blue lasers lanced forth from the nose of each ship, more test shots to see what the other pilots would do.*
*From the command post on the Sirus, Dusk watched. Her hands were folded behind her back in military fashion, an unerringly calm expression on her face. She was prepared to see her orders through, no matter what the cost.*
"Captain. The enemy star destroyer has launched additional fighters. Sensors also indicated that they have taken up defensive position. Shields are raised, all weapons have been prepared for offensive operations. What are your orders?"
*Dusk knew they'd be spotted sooner or later. They were here, however, to distract any enemy ships from the Cobalt.* "Bring all frigates to a full stop. Contact the Orion. It's time to release the droids. Flight Officer. Dispatch two more squadrons of fighters. I want our droids to make it as far as possible in the chaos."
*The orders were followed immediately. Dusk could feel the engines of the Sirus slowing under her feet. Across the tactical display, she watched two more squadrons of fighters scream out across open space to join their comrades. From the Orion , she watched thirty bell shaped droids drop from the ships underside. These droids were bell shaped, roughly smaller then a fighter but as big around as an escape pod. Their outer shell was several layers of heavy armor, the bottom of the bell was made from a thinner, less durable metal. What made these droids dangerous was their payload. Inside each droid was a seismic charge roughly twice the weight of an average human. Once the droids were clear of the ship, they activated their engines and rocketed forward, the heavily armored section pointing forward. Their target was the Star Destroyer. Once they reached their target, they would latch on, bell facing down and detonate their payload. The explosion would force its way through the weaker metal and, with any luck, into the intended target.*

As planned, once the enemy fighters reach firing range and open the first shots in the engagement, the CAP leader and Cath peel off, the CAP leader banking left as Cath goes right. Cath rolls and dives while coming around to engage the enemy fighters, a few laser bolts splashing off his fighters shields; while the CAP leader, who brings the nose of his fighter up while banking and turning, does marginally worse as the maneuver presents an easier target, and his shields have dipped more than he would like before he completes the turn and gets clear. With the CAP leader above the enemy formation's bearing and Cath beneath it, the two XJ7's open their S-foils and open fire on the enemy ships with their laser cannons while exchanging positions, CAP leader diving down and across the enemy formation as Cath swings his fighter upwards and strafes them from the opposite direction. Ona, the third and final member of the CAP, dips and weaves to evade enemy fire while continuing on towards the Vic II.
Watching the developments on her holographic displays, the Vic II's captain assesses the enemy's maneuvers and actions, eyes narrowing as she quickly tries to calculate the best response. "Ahead two-thirds, the captain orders her helmsman, not about to just sit while the enemy tries to hang back out of weapons range. Launch first squadron, and have second prep for launch, the captain orders next, seeing the report from the hangar that the first squadron - 3 flights of 6 XJ7 fighters each - is prepped for launch. Have them engage inbound enemy fighters and unidentified bogies. Turning to face her weapons officer, she says, Have all forward turbolasers, double heavies, and ion cannons lay down suppressing fire, keep those fighters and whatever those bogies are from reaching us." Pivoting to face her holographic tactical display once more, the captain watches with a pensive frown as her orders are carried out.
The 3 flights of 6 XJ7s rocket from the Vic II's hangar, forming up beneath the planned field of suppressing fire into 6 fighter trios - spread out in two staggered lines, one in front of the other, with the rearmost line flying over the front's position to provide top cover - that raise shields and open S-foils as they up speed to achieve the distance needed to engage the incoming enemy fighters and as yet unidentified bogies. Once the fighters are underway, the Vic II continuing forward towards the enemy frigates' position to achieve weapons range, all of the SD's forward weapons begin raining a withering storm of turbolaser and ion cannon fire onto the incoming enemy fighters and unidentified bogies' position, adjusting the field of fire to any maneuvering the enemy might make before tangling up with the XJ7s heading out to intercept them.

*Dusk watched from the Star Destroyer open fire on the droids and fighters inbound on its location. This didn't mean much to her, she knew it was coming.* "Raise shields, divert most strength to the front. Prepare the turbolasers to fire. When the droids are finished, we cut this ship in two."
*The two squadrons of fighters had reached the dogfight by now. Keeping to the outside of the fray, they waited to pick off anything bold enough to move outside the killzone. The fighters already engaged in the fight broke their formation as laser fire began to pepper their shields. The squads split, each choosing a different direction. When one enemy fighter chose a target, a fighter would be on his tail. Divide and conquer.*
*The droids barely paid attention to the incoming fire. Moving side to side every once in a while to lower their chances of being hit. Several had already taken damage, which steadily became more frequent the closer they got to their target. All at once, one of the lead droids took a direct hit. The outer shell had been compromised, exposing the interior. In an instant the droid went up in a massive explosion, incinerating the droid and anything unfortunate enough to get caught in the blast.*

Watching the action intensify on her holographic tactical displays as the enemy fighters and unidentified objects are met by her starfighter squadron and the suppressing fire the Vic II's gunners are laying down, the captain narrow her eyes as she notes the enemy fighters seem more intent on protecting the unidentified objects than on engaging either her starfighters or the Vic II itself. "Concentrate all fire on the incoming unidentified objects, the Vic II's captain tells her weapons officer, then pivots smartly to tell her XO, Have all starfighters disengage from the enemy craft and pursue and destroy those . . . pausing as the lead unidentified object, an unmanned drone or droid of some kind purposed to try and disable their shields from the size of the explosion resulting from its destruction, is hit and subsequently explodes, the captain finishes, drones."
As the Vic II's captain's new orders are carried out, the surviving starfighters of 1st squadron break from engaging the enemy fighters to turn and pursue the drones - two flights focusing on targeting the drones with laser cannons and proton torpedoes, with one flight hanging back to cover them from any enemy fighters that might attempt to pursue them - as the Vic II's forward weapons focus solely on targeting the drones.
Frowning pensively as the blips representing the drones, enemy starfighters, and her own pilot's close on the Vic II or wink out as they are destroyed, the captain watches the distance between her ship and the enemy vessel continuing to close. "Brace for impact, the captain says calmly as one of the droids that has escaped the suppressing fire and her pursuing fighters relatively unscathed nears the Vic II's shields. Putting a hand on the arm of her command chair to steady herself as the resultant explosion splashes against their shields, the captain glances at her boards, frowning upon seeing that the Vic II's shields have held, but dropped more than she would like. Launch second squadron, the captain says, Have them move to intercept the remaining drones. Turning towards her weapons officer, she says, Keep up the suppressing fire until we're in range of the enemy frigate, we can't afford many more hits from those drones."

Kel was meditating in the cockpit of his ship as he came upon the forest moon of Endor. He reached out with the force as he felt a presence in the fields around him. Sensing a disturbance of energy and power, he turned the ship towards it. Piloting it carefully alongside the escape pod he reached out with the force and probed the interior. He could sense the presence of another man, another force user inside. This could be his chance for power, his chance to save his race. Docking with the other ship Kel steps aboard and notices the the half dead zabrak. Slowly approaching the man Kel places his hands on either side of his head reaching out with the force to try and awaken him. He attempts to send some of his energy to the man, desperately trying to awaken him, this may very well be the source of power he has spent the last year looking for.

*The data sent from the Cobalt made it to the Sirus. Dusk's attention turned to the message telling her that all data had been received, then back to the battle at hand. Most of her fighters had been wiped out, and the remaining drones were now making their run for the enemy Vic II. Both of her ships and the enemies had taken extensive damage during the battle, unfortunately she knew that the Vic II would win out in the end, but that didn't matter. They had what the came for and it was time to withdraw. Pulling her attention from the battle, she sent a quick message to the Orion. The ship itself had taken significant damage from a direct hit on its port side, smoke and debris poured from a gaping in its side. As badly damaged as the ship was, it still had one last job. Pulling all power from its weapons and diverting it to its engines and shields. The Orion began to power its way forward with engines at full. Using itself as a barricade between the enemy ship and the Sirus, the Orion lined up with the enemy Vic II in order to ram it at full speed. Once the Orion placed itself between the Vic II and the Sirus, the Sirus turned and jumped to hyperspace, leaving Endor behind.*
