Description:
Overkill barely began to describe the Sylvin-class gunboat. Manned by a crew of 5 (1 pilot, 4 gunners), it was one of the most vicious starfighters ever designed by the modern Aldar Jedi. It didn't need much speed or maneuverability or even armour and shielding to get by in battle, relying more on sheer firepower to carry it through. Assisted by extremely advanced targeting systems, there were few ships that could evade the withering barrage this monster could unleash. Worse still was the fact that this ship's weapons were mostly mounted on turrets meaning they could aim in virtually all directions at once, making sneaking up behind it near impossible.
The ship had two armament sets as shown below:
Either variant posed a formidable threat to fighters and swarms of these ships could take on capital ships with relative ease, making it one of the deadliest starfighters in any fleet. They were equipped with hyperdrives for independent long-range operations, extending their versatility further.
