The Maglor-class Hammerhead Ramming Ship, or the Flying Hammership, was very aptly named by the Aldar Jedi who worked to design a vessel meant to operate strictly within a fleet, since its design, armaments and complements made it very ill-suited to operations on its own. Like all Aldar-made ships, the Maglor could make water landings or even submerge, and had movable hull segments that could shift to cover vulnerable regions.
Made of Archonium (the gold plating), the hull was considerably reinforced, especially the forward section, allowing the ship to perform ramming actions, in the hopes of knocking out an enemy's command station. The rest of the ship was heavily armoured and shielded, knowing that once it activated its booster engines to make a charge, it would be vulnerable to counterattack.
To use its main feature, the Maglor was armed with 12 capital-grade ion cannons mounted on recessed partial turrets near the front, meant to knock out even the heaviest shields of another capital ship, then it would follow up with warheads ion bombs to knock out electronics, concussion missiles to damage the hull further or even blow it outright, or signal beacons for other allied ships to lend firepower, before making a lethal charge for the bridge of the ship.
Due to its impressive speed, the ship was sometimes used for blockade running to get vital supplies or information in or out as needed. The ship could carry up to 1000 metric tons of cargo.
