Description:
The Sloane-class Destroyer was designed as a true mobile weapons platform. It featured a tighter wedge shape more akin to the Resurgent-class, with thick armour and a recessed shield generator that would make bringing it down a daunting task. Meanwhile, gun emplacements littered the surface of the Sloane-class, providing it with unmatched firepower for a ship of its size. But such investments had come at the cost of the ships speed and maneuverability. Acceptable draw backs considering the advantages the ship provided. 12 Starfighters could be stored within the hangar bay of the Sloane-class, while 50 Stromtroopers could be housed aboard the ship for covert operations and for defending against boarding operations.
