Settling in over the now abandoned and overgrown Imperial Research Outpost, a single Harrower held position as shuttles and a fighter escort made its way to the surface. As the fighters peeled off to patrol, the shuttle set down on the moss and vine covered landing pad near the roof of the building. Striding down the ramp as it lowered, Lash Malafica scanned her surroundings. As several Knights made to secure the area, a dozen Skytroopers exited the second shuttle and pushed through the outpost, ensuring there was nothing residing within. Breathing in the rich, earthy air, Lash proceeded forward, into the building. It was time to set up their command post and proceed to reach out to any of the natives present...

With an operational foothold secured on the planet's surface, the Imperial Research Outpost was stripped of the aging and outdated technology and replaced with the pristine technology of the Eternal Empire. Replacing the dull, gunmetal grey panelling that was originally installed by Palpatine's Galactic Empire, shimmering white and gold trimmed panels were put in, breathing a new breath of life into the facility. Within a matter of weeks, the Imperial Research Outpost was a functioning headquarters for the Eternal Empire. Not having to fire a single shot in their conquest of the planet, the Eternal Empire was going to keep it's footprint to a minimal, opting for the use of natural resources as opposed to building a planet-spanning metropolis of white and gold. Upon his return, the Emperor would be pleased with the progress that had been made.

Industrial operation on Endor's surface had begun in earnest, ensuring a steady supply of resources would be readily available to the Empire, should the need arise. Though, with the garrison of Skytroopers and Knights of Zakuul, and the orbital defenses in place, Endor was the gateway to the rest of the Eternal Empire. Strict security protocols were enforced to ensure the rest of the Empire remained safe and secure.

The local villages offered little, for a society as advanced and dependent on technology as the Empire was, and uplifting the primitives that inhabited the moon wasn't overly beneficial to the Empire. And so, the rest of Endor remained relatively untouched by the Eternal Empire. The former Imperial Research Outpost housed the majority of the Empire's defending forces, with small encampments scattered throughout the surrounding terrain, protecting the supply lines from the mining efforts that took place here. And while the natives knew of the Empire's presence, they mostly ignored it. Or at least now they did. Several weeks after the initial invasion, curious individuals or parties would probe the perimeter of the Outpost, though never in significant numbers and never out of aggression. Aside from deterring the curious, the Empire allowed the native inhabitants to carry on as they normally did, which in turn, ensured the Empire's continued operations on the forest moon.

Endor. The second world to join the Eternal Empire and an acting gateway to the rest of the Empire's holdings. Sitting at the end of the Sanctuary Pipeline hyperspace route it acted as the first line of defense from outside forces. At the other end of the Pipeline, lay Sullust, a Blackguard Imperium held planet. And while there may have been friction at their borders, if the Sith'ari of the Imperium knew that the Eternal Empire held Endor, such tensions were non-existent for the time being, which benefitted both nations.

A train of armoured shuttles descended from orbit, circling the old Imperial Research Outpost before setting down on the cracked tarmac that hadn't seen much maintenance since the days of the Galactic Civil War. A verminous tide of tech-rats and slave-mice poured from sliding transport doors and set to work securing the facility, dragging with them the supplies they had gathered from the Nullus Beacon. Cobra-headed ssither and the Hungering One's feral children were loosed throughout the grounds, clearing out any wildlife that might have claimed the forgotten facility during the years of neglect. Finally the gamma-class assault shuttle bearing the saurian Sith arrived, lowering to the broken floor on a cushion of repulsor powered air. The transport door unsealed with a hiss of displaced air and retracted, revealing the black scaled barabel and his furry companion. Dragus' nostril slits widened as the unfamiliar scents tickled his sensitive sense of smell. It was unknown to him, yet, that was an unmistakable familiarity that he couldn't quite shake. Something beyond the capacity of his natural senses to interpret, something deeper. Was this a response by the blood coursing through his veins? Endor, his despised creator, had been born on this world after all. Perhaps their shared DNA was speaking to him in ways he couldn't quite understand. His lips twisted into a sneer and a low growl rumbled from his throat. It was infuriating.
Toe talons scraped the broken pavement as he stalked across the tarmac towards the facility, his long tail swishing back and forth behind him, each sweep dragging the serrated length of poison laced steel across the ground. His faithful ranat assistant, Squeakers, scurried along beside him. The duo entered into the main building where a holo-display was in the process of being rigged up by one of the tech-rats. Ignoring their work, Dragus reached into the flesh folds of his robe and retrieved a rolled up length of tanned human-hide bound by a tiny strip of sinew. He unwound its fastening and unrolled the length on the holo-projectors flat surface, revealing a map drawn in precise claw scratches and rendered in blood. The map was far less detailed than a holographic projection from the Terentatek's sensors, but it gave a vague idea of where the local settlements had been detected during initial orbital sweeps. He-Who-Hungers tapped the long curved talon of his index claw on the depiction of Hanging Moss Village.
"There, Squeakerz. That shall be our firssst ssstop." He hissed thoughtfully, misting the map with flecks of blood and spittle from his slavering jaws with every rasped syllable. "We mussst enlissst the aid of the ewokz there and turn them to our purpossse. Though we have more than enough forcez to overwhelm the dulok sssettlement to the sssouth, it will be meaninglesss if we don't include the descendantz of the celestialz. We mussst be joined in our intent. Thuz, we mussst find a way to woo them."
Dragus had given this quite a lot of thought. There was much in the way of technology and resources he could offer his most beloved race, but doing so might upset the delicate balance of the Forest Moon. Instead, he would play by their own primitive rules. Being a religious sort, he would don a mantle of one of their deities.
"I shall asssume the role of the Night Ssspirit, a dark god from their pantheon. It iz my underssstanding that the dulokz worship thiz elegit being, thuz we will sssow fear among their rankz when they sssee their god turned againssst them. Az for the ewokz, they are a superstitiouz speciez, pretending to be one of their deitiez should help sssecure their obedience."

After the plan had been settled upon, Dragus and Squeakers exited the main building through the front entrance. They were immediately drawn to a commotion outside as a ranat-ogre struggled with a chain connected to a harnessed strapped uvak. The purple scaled beast screeched and fought against its leash, snapping its powerful fang filled beak on the chain to the point where some of the links looked ready to break. Nearing the large winged repto-avian, the saurian Sith could feel the primal fury of the beast radiating off it in waves of raw emotion. It frothed at the snout, breathing in hard ragged breathes that drizzled acidic saliva and sizzled on the paved terrace beneath its claws. Meeting that bestial savagery with a feral grin of his own, the Hungering One extended a clawed hand and focused his mind on the mentally unstable creature, probing the surface of its rage as he expanded his senses into the aether and beyond the physical. Assuming a serpentine astral form, he slithered his way deep in the uvak's psyche and coiled around the part of its brain where the aggression was greatest, binding those emotions as he continued to encircle its will. The chain held in the ranat-ogre's brutish paws began to slacken as the uvak tired and grew calm, its scaly saurian lids growing heavy and its eyes that glowed like burning embers moments before began to soften and return to their original emerald hue. Within moments of Dragus intruding on the creature's thoughts, he had dominated its will and brought the beast to heel. The uvak sat on its hindquarters and lowered its beak, then folded its wide reptilian wings in tight against its body."There-there, girl. All iz well." He hissed cooingly into its ear, running a clawed hand over the uvak's scaly scalp before gripping the harness in one hand and disconnecting the chain that held it. If the animal was aware that it had been released, it showed no sign of it, instead nuzzling its dangerously sharp beak against the barabel's flesh swathed chest. As part of his promise to the Supreme Leader of the Sith Eternal, the Great Devourer had raided the planet of Kesh for slaves, as well as his own sinful satisfaction. It was during that particular conquest that he had come across the winged reptiles and had gathered a number for breeding and experimentation. The results had thus far been promising. Though many of the altered creatures were ill-tempered, that aggression could be useful if one was strong enough to command the uvaks will. Not everyone possessed such mental fortitude, but those that did would be able to use the creatures as mounts.Patting the beast on the head, Dragus dismissed the ranat-ogre with a wave of his claw, before straddling the uvak's back. It was no drexl, certainly, but it would suffice as a form of transportation all the same. The smaller wing span would allow him to fly below the forest canopy if need be, something his precious Spite was far too large for. Leaning over the side, he extended a claw towards Squeakers and motioned for the ranat to come. Nervous of the repto-avian's foul temper, the sentient rodent kept its beady eyes on the creature as it reached a gnarled paw towards the Hungering One and was summarily yanked up onto the uvak's back behind Dragus. The black scaled barabel leaned his snout in beside the uvak's ear and whispered softly to it. "Now what shall we call you, hmmm? Ssspite? No, she'd never forgive me. Ssslake? Clossse, but not quite right." He tapped a curved finger talon against his scaly chin as he pondered aloud. Finally a fitting name fizzled to the forefront of his thoughts. "Ah, of courssse! Ssscourge. A sssuitable name for sssuch an ill tempered beassst."Leaning back, his continued to focus his will on the uvak's mind, filling its thoughts with his desires. He implanted an approximation of what he believed Hanging Moss Village to appear as in the creature's mind, then made it clear his fondest wish was to go there at once. Beneath him, Dragus could feel the powerful muscles of the uvak tense before it bounded off the ground and beat its monstrously strong wings, taking to the air. The devilish draconian let out an excited laugh as they left the research outpost and began to fly in the direction of the village he sought. Now this is podracing!
