Description:
Finding that they lacked a truly dedicated bomber, the Dark Jedi Order set about designing the Gladio-class Starfighter. Keeping with the more aggresive aesthetic of Dark Jedi ships, the Gladio features a wide angular wingspan and an aggressive diamond shaped tail. Despite its classification as a bomber, the Gladio could stand up to its brethren starfighters in speed and agility. This was thanks to improvements in thruster technology and the minimisation of the Gladio's payload without compromising too much on fallout. For offense, the Gladio was equipped with 2 Fire-Linked Laser Cannons for dealing with other starfighters, and had a bomb bay which could be loaded with any one of the following loadouts: 12 MG7-A Proton Torpedoes, 10 Proton Rockets, 10 Concussion Bombs, 8 Ion Bombs, 8 Void-7 Seismic Charges, 6 ST2 Concussion Missiles, or a Nuclear Bomb. To ensure accuracy, an advanced targetting system was equipped to make sure that every missile count. The Gladio also came equipped with a hyperdrive for performing long range bombing missions.
