Designed and built at the Dromund Kalakar Shipyards, the Mark VIII was an improvement over the Mark VI. Combining successful elements from previous Imperial TIE designs as well as both the Mark VI Starfighter and the Mark VII Advanced Interceptor, the Mark VIII was the next fighter in the Supremacy-Class lineup. Armed with 4 fire-linked laser cannons, one on each wing tip, as well as 2 heavy laser cannons beneath the cockpit and 2 concussion missile launchers on either side of the cockpit, the Mark VIII was equipped with a hyperdrive, making it a fairly versatile starfighter and a useful addition to the Blackguard's starfighter roster.
