Description:
Nidana wished to have a mobile lab ready to work at a moment’s notice and save time on base set up at dig sites. Thus the XoXaan-Class Research Vessel was born. The lab itself was state-of-the-art, the best technology and equipment the Sith could produce. Capable of carbon dating in record time, analyze ancient text, digitally reconstruct ruins and fragments of text, and even house captured fauna and flora for testing. An advanced sensor array was also incorporated into the ship, primarily to warn of any hazards around a dig site or to safely scan space anomalies encountered.
While the ship had a respectable amount of armor and shielding, it’s real defense was in how nimble and quick it was for a ship it’s size. The vessel was not meant to engage in any sort of prolonged combat, only long enough to escape with its superior speed and agility. The armament was a mere 8 laser cannons and 2 tractorbeam projectors. The ship was also able to house two starfighters in its hanger bay for additional defense.
The ship itself could be piloted by a single person, however to get the most out of its abilities, a crew of 5 was recommended. It could also house 10 other passengers, mostly guards and lab/research assistants.
