His cloak was fur lined such that it took enough of the bite out of the cold as it cut through the air of the hangar bay opening. He still felt a shiver as what wasn't dampened did reach his skin. He nodded eagerly as Endor invited him along to the command centre and the warmer environment that would exist within Gladly... As the Pilot lead the way into the depths of the base, Vaughan definitely took note of all those gathered. It was like taking a step back in time to when the Rebel Alliance would have been here fighting against Palpatine's Empire. Those now gathered were themselves Rebels fighting against the Delvardus Empire. And just as before, so too now would they prevail. Vaughan slipped his hand out from his cloak then and took hold of the container, listening as Endor described what was within It would be rude to refuse offered refreshment... Words he regretted a moment later as he took a small mouthful and swallowed. He'd drunk some pretty low grade alcohol in the past, but this managed to improve their taste ratings dramatically By the Force... He quickly handed the drink container back and bent over a little to try expel some of the after taste. Straightening back up as Endor spoke once again I will not deny, I... had my doubts upon arriving back to the Republic. But my people are strong, stronger than my doubts would allow me to see. But they gladly proved me wrong. We are in this fight, together. We will find many and more allies, of that I am sure. We just need to let them know we exist... While I am no practitioner myself, I have faith that the Force will provide for us, in our moments of greatest need. No matter how outmatched we seem, we have something they don't... hope...

"Rebellions are built on hope." Endor repeated the well known mantra, spoken by an unnamed hero who years ago performed the impossible and gave the original Rebel Alliance a fighting chance. The General smiled and gave Vaughan a playful cuff to the shoulder, before shaking his finger as they continued to walk down the hall. "I knew I liked you, Emrys. Keeping talking like that and these wampas are going to have some competition." What the heck does that even mean? Best not to ask.
When they reached the command centre the rebel X-wing piloting prodigy gave a brief spin, raising the arms of his flight jacket to indicate the room around him. It was pretty rough, with a ramshackle amount of jury rigged equipment that appeared to arrive from a number of different sources and makes. The important thing though was that it all appeared to have power and was at least partially functional. Endor pounded his fist on the circular holo-projector in the centre of the room, causing the lights to flicker and the emitter to begin projecting translucent images in the air.
"It took some clever engineering, but we even managed to get the original holo-projector working." There was an electrical snap as the projector short circuited and sputtered out. Endor looked down at it and scowled, giving his beard a tug. "Most of the time. One of my friends is an expert mechanic, but he's been too busy on the Forest Moon of late to be able to lend his expertise to fixing up this place." After examining the projector again, he gave the base of the device a hard kick with his boot. The lights flickered back on and stayed on. "There. Good as new."

He continued alongside the once more revitalised pilot as they headed for the command centre. It was easy to get overwhelmed in these dark times and feel like an insurmountable task lay ahead. But a quick reminder of what they were fighting for always did the trick. He was becoming more and more well versed in such matters, which was likely a contributing factor to why he had been elected to the Council. He flashed a grin to Endor I'm afraid my heart belongs to another, so the wampas have nothing to fear... Upon their arrival to the command centre, Vaughan let his gaze wander about the room taking in everything as he moved over to the central holo-projector where Endor worked to get a display going I shall inquire of my people to see if we have a couple mechanics and electricians we can spare to assist with some work around here. Such things can prove quite useful... He moved to the controls as it came to life once again and brought up a display of this far corner of the galaxy. A number of datapoints were now quite dated, meaning an update to the archives here would be important I'm no expert, but I can't imagine it will need much more than a few part replacements... So, Endor, what is it that you, yourself, do around here? You never did much explain your part...

"I'm a jack-of-all-trades." He stated boldly, closing his eyes briefly as he puffed out his chest proudly. "Isn't it obvious?" As if on cue, the holo-projector sputtered out again. Endor groaned and knelt down beside it, muttering a few unique curses in his native tongue as he forced open a side panel on the machine. Lowering himself to the floor, he slid inside the holo-projectors base and began to tinker around with it insides.
"Alright, so maybe I'm not great at everything." He admitted. "Truthfully my passion is piloting. As I'm sure you've noticed I've got a few, mmm, special abilities we'll call them. I was raised by ewoks on the Forest Moon, until a member of the Jedi Order came and recruited me as a child. I spent..." He paused as he thought. "...I don't even know, a long time it feels like, as a member of the Order. It wasn't really for me. Ewoks are restless by nature, not used to such a rigid and rule obsessed way of life. After doing some soul searching, the Order and I parted way. I spent a few years working as a smuggler with a childhood friend of mine. That's where I discovered how much I enjoyed being behind the controls of a starship. The faster the better." Even with his face obscured inside the projectors guts, his the grin on his face could practically be heard. "Frankly I considered myself retired for the most part and was planning on spending the rest of my days living as a druid in the woods."
Gripping the sides of the projector, Endor eased himself back out and sat up, giving his jacket and posterior a quick dusting to remove any clinging snow. His eyes were pointed at the ceiling as he recollected.
"I've always had a way with nature. This probably sounds crazy to anyone not raised as a shaman, but the wind talks to me. Not so much in words, but as a feeling. Like I can predict the ebb and flow of the air currents." He shook his head. "I can't really put it properly into words. I just know that when I'm behind the cockpit of a snubfighter, I know its where I am supposed to be. That friend I mentioned was the one who let me know about what was happening out in the galaxy, about the First Order and the mass infringement of freedom." He looked Vaughan in the eye, his face edged with certainty. "The rest has been a work in progress. I'm just glad the Alliance was able to get its hands on Admiral Dackbar, who is currently serving as the head of our command structure. I'm better placed leading a starfighter squadron, which is what I've been doing mostly. We call ourselves Endor's Ewoks." He winked. "My rank is General, but that's more of a catch-all for anyone in a leadership position. I think that technically makes you a General as well, Emrys. Congratulations." He snorted in amusement, before banging a fist on the top of the projector, which flickered back on. "Ha. What did I tell ya? A jack of all trades indeed."

Vaughan leaned against the projector as it died once more and Endor swooped into action to get repairing the device. Listening as the man explained his role with the Rebels and a bit about his past. It would have taken someone to be distracted heavily or blind to have missed the pilot's ability with the Force. Something which he could not manipulate or control, but which he was decently well versed in knowledge of.
He could related well to Endor's years of many and varied experiences, having been through a fair bit himself. Retirement had certainly seemed an option at one stage many years ago when he was a young kid. But the realities of the world and the fight he chose quickly dispersed such illusions. People like himself and Endor never retired. The fight might ease up for a bit, but they could never leave it. They were just too good to let evil flourish.
He smiled as Endor then spoke of hearing the voice of nature. Certainly an odd concept for most, but not for Vaughan Doesn't sound crazy at all. I've met more than my fair share of Jedi... Seen them perform feats impossible for any one person. To be told that various elements have a voice is possibly far more sane than what I have seen... He made note of Admiral Dackbar's name and that of Endor's Squadron. However his attention was caught by mention of the use of the rank of General as a title for those in leadership positions. Something which would apply to himself as well. His attention returning to the projector as it came to life again Uhhh... Thanks. I probably wouldn't get too far ahead of myself assuming such a title. Feels a little presumptuous... But I appreciate the candour... When do we expect the Admiral's return?

"Fish-face?" He blurted his secret nickname for the Admiral at the mention. Endor waved an arm dismissively. "She's on her way down, I think." He looked down at the crono on his wrist, then back up at Vaughan. "I'm sure we got time to chit-chat."
The General rested his butt unceremoniously on the projector top, causing the holographic image of the nearby asteroid field it was currently showing to become distorted. His naked hands rested on the side of the projector while his boots swayed just off the snowy floor.
"Come on, Emrys. Tell me something about yourself." He stated jovially. "A guy saves my life from a bunch of Imperial toads and all I know about him is that he's from Naboo and is a hell of a shot." His beard shook as he chuckled warmly at recounting that recent memory. Likely unbeknownst to Vaughan, perhaps even unbeknownst to Endor himself, but the former druid turned fighter pilot projected something of an aura. There was a warmth to his presence, something even Hoth couldn't dispel despite the chill making his nips hard enough to cut beskar. "It behooves me to get to know ya. And not the fighting for freedom bit, we're on the same page about that. I want to know you, what makes ya tick, what do you like?"
At that moment one of the abominable snowoks in the base happened by, casually swaggering through the room. As it passed Endor seated on the projector, the rebel pilot leaned over and swiped the animal skin from the chalk-white furred chimera of ewok and wampa without it even noticing. He winked at Vaughan before popping the seal and taking a swig, grimacing as it burned all the way down.
"I know it's not this swill." He retched. "It'll put hair on your chest." He jerked a thumb over his shoulder towards the departing snowok. "That's probably what happened to them. My buddy Tarfang left a cache of mattberry wine around here somewhere, but for the life of me I haven't been able to find it." He shook his head. "Crafty little fella."

Vaughan raised an eyebrow briefy at the less than flattering nickname that Endor used to refer to the Admiral. Given what little he knew about the pilot, he couldn't say he was surprised though. He was a very laid back person who related more to common everyday people vs those of a more military nature. So he let name go as he leaned against the projector while Endor started to ask about his past and what he liked. A smile forming as the pilot took a swig of the fermented milk If whoever found it has half a brain, they would hide it so they have something they can drink instead of... I'm honestly not sure that counts as a drink... Perhaps he'd have to put out some subtle feelers and offer a reward for whoever could help find the wine or provide him access to it That shot was just luck. I'm far from a marksman, it's what the exploding rounds are for: you don't need to hit someone directly if the bullet explodes anything it hits... As for my past? Well... There's not a whole lot to tell. House Emrys is one of the smaller nobilities from Naboo, we're not as well known as House Naberrie, but we are well off enough... Growing up was a life of privilege for sure, but my mother made sure I never let it get to my head. We never threw extravagant parties or gala's, unless it was in the pursuit of fund raising for those less fortunate. War has many casualties, and the galaxy has been at war for a long time. So my family's work has been fairly constant and ongoing... He was still a rather young man, but his life had been so busy that he hardly felt as young as his age indicated But that fight took a personal turn for me... nine years and six months ago. I had an older sister once, a lot like me but prettier... When the Galactic Alliance formed in the early days of the First Order's emergence, she was volunteering and working for the cause of freedom... He seemed to stare off into the middle distance, remembering his sister Alicia Emrys. It was still a painful chapter of his life, but one he had come through the other side of It was a fight which would ultimately take her life. The First Order likes to paint itself as this Empire championing order and peace. But they're no different than the half dozen other Empire's that preceded them. Nicademus masqueraded as this benevolent dictator, but it was all just for show... Placating those within his Empire that were not hard core imperialists... My Sister was working on a world his Empire "liberated" from freedom and democracy. She was captured and turned into a slave. We didn't know what had happened to her initially, just that when I was fourteen she had gone missing during a First Order attack. It wasn't until after my eighteenth birthday that her body was delivered back to us... Four years she'd spent shackled as a slave to some Imperial slug... Until they'd used her all up and discarded her when a Alliance Raid had come through. It was the First Order's birthday gift to me... And I've never forgotten what happened. I've spent my life dedicated to fighting the same fight she lost her life too and trying to eradicate the affliction that is slavery... His right hand balled up into a fist for a moment as he worked to compose himself. The smile having long since faded and formed into a straight line That is what makes me tick: Making sure that what happened to Alicia doesn't happen to anyone else...

He had no words for Vaughan, not at first anyways. Sadly, his story was all too familiar in a galaxy largely ruled by Imperial fascists. Endor could feel his allies anger as he recounted the tale, but was more drawn to the Naboo's suffering. In that moment he wanted to reach out and embrace the other man, to tell him it was all going to be alright, and to try to banish some of the pain he wore so close to his chest. Connected as he was to the Living Force, the former druid wished for nothing more than to bring a sense of harmony to Vaughan's broken heart, but he couldn't. It wasn't his pain to take away. More so, as selfish as it sounded, the terrible atrocity seemed to be part of what drove the noble towards this life of resistance against injustice. It didn't make it any easier to swallow, but he needed his new friend...yes, he was determined that is what they would be to one another, he needed his new friend focused. He needed him angry.
Already softened, the lines on Endor's bearded face seemed to suggest a profound sadness in the General, as he empathically embraced Emrys' emotional pain. It didn't lighten the young man's burden, but in feeling that sense of loss, he understood better what made him tick. He put his own bladder skin down and lowered his head, shaking his bushy beard from side to side as the chill resumed to set in as the alcoholic beverage's warmth fled.
"Stang, Emrys. I..." He reached out, at a loss for words but wanting to say something at least to help console his fellow rebel's wounded heart. Chirp! Chirp! It was in that moment that the communicator sticking out of his flight jackets lapel pocket began to chime. He looked from Vaughan to the device, his face apologetic as he reached for it. Saved by the bell, as they say. "Sorry, that's the emergency frequency. I gotta take this."
He stood and listened as a Tynnan officer from the command crew aboard Mon Mothma station in orbit quickly informed him of the Coalition squadron that had appeared in the system. Apparently Admiral Dackbar already gave them permission to approach the base. What was more interesting is that they had mentioned Vaughan by name and seemed to be aware of trouble the two had caused on Cloud City. Acknowledging the message, he placed the communicator back in his pocket and looked up at Vaughan.
"We should head to the hangar." He said awkwardly, motioning to icy hall they had used to reach the command centre. "A squadron of E-wings belonging to a Baron Gorgano are on their way down. Do you know them? They claim to have been with the Coalition, even mentioned that hornets nest we stumbled into on Bespin. If they are friends, we sure could use more of those."

There was little that could be said to console such a wound, which was why Vaughan rarely spoke of the matter. Alicia was gone and at peace now after her suffering. But he still had much and more to endure before he could also rest. He gave a nod and forced a small smile as Endor indicated he needed to take the comm call that chimed in at that moment It's fine... Perhaps not the most comforting statement, but hopefully a little bit of reassurance as the pilot went off to take his call. A call which did not last long with Endor suggesting they head to the Hangar to meet some new arrivals. He pulled his cloak close prepared to endure the harsher chill off the outer extremities of the base as he headed for the tunnel Baron Gorgano? hmmm... Gorgano... Gorgano... Yes the name is familiar. I believe he was the Baron of Fondor and lead the Coalition's security organization. If memory serves he was engaged to and married Doctor Lynne Jameroo. She helped me with a slave ring that was operating on Taris in some of the refugee cities. If it's them, then they will be useful allies indeed...

The members of the Ebon Hawks came to land at Echo Base, taking up one of the free hangars that shielded themselves and their craft from the perpetual cold and chill of the planet. Everyone said that neither Hoth nor Dabogah was good for any engine. Only Bespin, but that was cause Tibanna gas was readily available to refuel. Commander Kralde, while on approach, managed to get a communication linked up with his superiors, namely the Baron Gorgano, letting them know of the SpyNet's expertise revealing exactly what the Free Worlds Navy was looking for.
Kralde disembarked with only a pair of his squadmates. Their helmets were removed and the trio made their way to where they were to meet up with this General Endor. The rest of the crew got themselves refueled and their starfighters checked out considering they had been moving around a bit, trying to find those that resided here. Kralde, and those with him, would find the Bearded General and Vaughan Emyrs where they were told they would be, after making inquiries with those at the Base. However, Kralde wouldn't be doing the talking as he immediately set down a holo-communication device, revealing a small holo-image of the Baron, Graemon Gorgano. The frequency was adjusted slightly before the Baron was able to speak.
Vaughan, it is good to hear another of the Coalition survived its demise.
Addressing the familiar face in the room first.
What remained of the Third Fleet, Jameroo's ships, and others managed to limp our way to Bothuwai. Bothans been good to us, making sure we got time to rest and recuperate. Most of the senior military staff though is dead unfortunately... haven't heard much from anyone else since the Osarian defense.
It had been a trying handful of weeks. The dead were finally memorialized and things were slowly getting back to order. Graemon's gaze then turned to the other one in the room, the one that Kralde said was named General Endor of the New Rebel Alliance. The Baron's image shifts slightly before stabilizing.
I do wish to extend gratitude for keeping an eye out on Vaughan here. He is a good person to rely upon and has abilities to command and lead. I am Graemon Gorgano, Baron-in-Exile of Fondor, and, at present, General of the Free Worlds Navy.

All rebel hospitality was extended to the Ebon Hawks. Fuel, rearmament if it was available, and what few parts they could provide for repairs they were more than happy to share. Though nothing formal was yet arranged, the feeling already was that they were of one cause. These Coalition members fought against the fascist imperialists, that made them allies in the fight for galactic freedom.
Endor and Vaughan found Commander Kralde not far from the hangar. The bearded rebel general gave the lapels of his brown leather flight jacket a tug, puffing out his black vacuum suited chest as he approached the squadron leader, sizing him up one pilot to another. A big grin was writ across his face. He had a terrible sabacc face and he knew it, but in this instance he really couldn't help himself. He was pleased to see new potential allies and friends showing up at his door. His aura exuded a warmth equal to any animal skin of fermented tauntaun milk, dispelling the chill as he crossed his arms and stared at the tiny projected figure.
This Graemon Gorgano was much smaller than he had expected, and much brighter. Wait, that was a hologram. Damn tauntaun milk, it was making it hard to concentrate.
He blinked a few times and grunted, reaching behind his blue spacers pants to scratch his rear. Did he say the bothans were helping them? Thank the Spirit Tree! While he personally hadn't reached out to the bothans yet it had always been something he had considered pursuing. They had been a critical force in the original rebellions success. Frankly, they needed them. He crossed his arms over his chest as he listened to the exiled baron speak, then answered matter-of-factly.
"Truthfully it was Emrys who has been looking out for me. My butt would be blaster dust if he hadn't helped me out of a run-in with some Imperial toadies on Cloud City. I'm glad he's here and that his people have agreed to help." Endor's forest green eyes locked on the hologram, possessing a striking intensity and utter sincerity. "I think we are fighting for similar reasons, Graemon. I'm damn sure our enemies are the same tyrants and dictators that have been stepping on the throat galactic freedom for far too long. We're preparing to make a move, but we need help. I heard about Fondor..." He shook his head. "I can't imagine what you've been through. But the fights not over yet. Join with us, whatever that looks like. We're stronger together. Help us show the galaxy that hopes not lost."

Vaughan had never interacted with nor met the Ebon Hawks during his time with the Coalition, so he was hard pressed to identify its members when they arrived to the meeting point. But as soon as the holoprojector was set down and the image of Graemon appeared, he felt more at ease. Despite his departments function, the Baron was a much more public figure which made him easier to recognize. That was without getting into Vaughan's own entanglements with Coalition Security and the Dr Jameroo. Assuming of course she was still Dr Jameroo and not Dr Gorgano now. Different cultures and people handled marriage and family names differently and he was not want to presume much. But the fact Graemon referred to the Medical fleet as Jameroo's ships, it was either intended as clear indication she had retained her name or was just easy differentiation for who he was referring to Battered and worse for wear, but recovering Baron Gorgano. I'm afraid I've heard even less of any other survivors from Corellia. It's... a bit of a long story for another time. But I am glad to hear the Good Doctor is alive and well, I may have need of her assistance once more... While the medical ships that had escaped Corellia with him were well staffed, Lynne's people were some of the best in the medical field and a second opinion could never hurt. He then stood quietly as Graemon praised him and spoke highly of his skills. Despite everything that had happened, it still felt surreal to hear such highly spoken confidence spoken about him. Perhaps one day he might get used to it all, but it would unlikely be any time soon. As Endor made his plea, Vaughan gave a solemn nod I would be lying if I said I figured you were out of the fight. Despite the Coalition's failures, we are much stronger when fighting together and this Rebel Alliance could do much with you and Dr Jameroo on our side...

For a moment, there was a pause. The holoimage of Graemon shifted slightly. He took a moment to think, mainly out of consideration of the odds in the galaxy. Recalling reports before, when he had the resources and means of the Coalition, the galaxy was in a bit of state that had not been seen in ages. For once, there was no Republic, no democratic bastion, no representative government. Where once people could speak freely and vote for their senators, there were militant regimes and ambitious rulers. Dynasts, tyrants, Imperialists, despots... where could Graemon and his wife truly go if not to join Endor? The Baron's image moves as his face addresses Endor.
My wife and I would be honored to aid you, General Endor.
In the times when he spent alone time with Lynne, she had often asked what the next step was. Where could they go to continue the fight? Graemon admired the strong will and fierce spirit of her. Now that she was more rested, she was ready to return to her duty and aid the galaxy in being free once more. With the crews and people who followed them, they were regaining their spirit too.
I will speak with the Bothan government about this new alliance that is being formed.
Perhaps Graemon could gain a boon for them to build upon.
Perhaps they would be willing to aid the cause of justice and democracy once more as their ancestors did before.

Endor practically beamed at Graemon's hologram as he brought up the bothans history of resisting tyranny, his aura in the Force growing more prevalent as he seemed to radiate an aegis of positive vibes, almost feeding off the good news like a hutt at a slug buffet. He hooked his thumbs into the lapels of his flight jacket and flipped the collar up."That's the spirit, Graemon." He exclaimed loudly with a firm nod. "With the bothans supporting our cause we got a real shot of making this thing work." As he spoke, his brow furrowed slightly and his mind was troubled by a brief flash of a vision. He saw a battlefield, scorched and bloody, littered with bothan corpses. Then the image changed to a brick wall being assembled, the scent prickled his nose as a waft of burning hair and clay filled his nostrils. Endor coughed and shook his head, clearing away whatever the Force was showing him.Probably just too much tauntaun milk. Still... A cold rush of air caused his back hair to stand on its end as the base doors opened to omit an incoming shuttle. He recognized the Admiral's U-wing as it slid into the hangar and set down onto the icy ground. As the side doors slid open, a Mon Calamari female in a pearlescent white uniform stepped off the transport. Any outspoken voices became hushed and several rebel staff stopped to offer salutes. Even Endor seemed to straighten a little as the alien approached the gathering."Admiral." Said Endor in greeting, crossing his arms over his chest. His aura seemed to wilt a little. He respected Jyn Dackbar's naval abilities, and her seemingly brilliant mind, but something about her rubbed him the wrong way. Don't misunderstand, he'd had plenty of friends who were Mon Calamari, it wasn't that. She was just a bit too obsessed with military protocol for his personal taste. He always struggled to play by the rules, especially when they were written by someone else."General." She replied, before turning her clammy fish head and inspecting first Vaughan and then Graemon like a drill sergeant. "Vaughan Emrys, Commander Kralde, Baron Gorgano." She offered a crisp salute and then extended one webbed hand towards Kralde, then Vaughan, as they were present in the flesh. "I'm Admiral Jyn Dackbar, originally of Mon Cala, though sadly I can't speak for my people. Dark forces have gathered there. I know because up until the General here helped rescue me, I was enslaved with the rest of my people. But that's not why I'm here in this moment. Please, follow me to the command centre. All of you. I've come up with a plan to aid our resistance against the First Order, one that should hopefully solve our current lack of manpower. For it to work, I'm going to need all your help.""You don't even need to ask, Admiral. That's why I signed on." He looked at the others. "I think that's why we're all here. If this plan will knock some teeth out of those Imperial fascists, you can count me in. Emrys too." He said, speaking for his new friend, before shrugging and laughing. "I mean, you did say you hated them, and for good reason."

It was something of a relief to hear Graemon pledge his and Lynne's support to the Rebel Alliance. To have the Bothan's onboard as well would be a great boon to their capabilities. The mood quickly changed, however, as Admiral Dackbar arrived in the hangar bay from the Station in orbit. Vaughan respectfully offered a salute as the Jyn approached, before reciprocating the handshake that was offered. She was incredibly well informed already, so there was little reason for him to introduce himself Endor is right, lead the way Admiral...

After listening to Admiral Dackbar, the Baron would address General Endor.
We will need time to prepare ourselves. I would like to focus, foremost, on gaining the support of the Bothan government.
Their support, in the means of a shipyard and their spy network, would be a major boon to their operations after all. It would require a bit of diplomacy that was above what Graemon had done before, but the Baron was confident in his abilities nonetheless. Also the fact that their fleet was now pretty green. Both his and Lynne's. They'd need to retrain everyone and get them up to a speed that would ensure they were useful.
Nonetheless, we will support you when we can. Likely in the form of starfighter squadrons.
Easy to deploy.

"We'll take whatever help we can get." Replied the clammy fish faced admiral. Admiral Jyn Dackbar led the gathering of rebels to Echo Base's command centre where Endor and Vaughan had been hanging out just a short while ago. This time, in preparation for the arrival of the tactically brilliant Mon Calamari, the holographic display had been hooked up to the Admiral's personal command astromech whose interfacing resolved the hardware problems it seemed to have suffered from earlier. Projected from the luminous table at the centre of the room was a planet the General had heard of but never personally traveled to. Dantooine."Dantooine." Stated Jyn wetly, as though reading the former forest druid's mind. Staring through the luminous projection on the opposite side of the holographic table, Endor's leafy green eyes locked with the Admiral's own bulbous pair. He'd heard the rumours, they likely all had, of a First Order labour camp on that otherwise pleasant and environmentally lush world. It was once home to the Jedi Order if memory served, though that was a long long time ago. They could use the largely uncultivated terrain to their advantage, assuming the mission was what he thought it was going to be. The Admiral didn't disappoint."We've confirmed reports of a former resistance cell serving time at an Imperial forced labour camp on the planet. There are a lot of talented specialists among their number, people we could use in the fight against the First Order, including several pilots and demolitions experts." The soggy admiral slapped her webbed hands on the holo-projector. "We're going to break them out."

He followed alongside Endor as Admiral Dackbar took the lead back to the Command Centre, where an Astromech seemed to be bypassing much of the tables issues and producing a clear display of Dantooine. Vaughan moved around to the opposite side of the table, giving others plenty of space to also gather around as he studied the projection. He hadn't been there personally, but the world held significance as the place from which the First Order announced its existence to the Galaxy at large. Before Dantooine they had kept to the Imperial Sectors of the Outer Rim and the Unknown Regions. Since then the planet had seemed to stay in Jedi hands for a time before dropping off the proverbial map.
He'd seen reports that the First Order had gone back and claimed the world for itself, perhaps to ease some bruised ego they felt when their first invasion attempt had failed. It came as no surprise when the Admiral announced a forced labour camp existed there with a number of incarcerated rebels serving time there. He shifted his gaze to Jyn A prison break? Can't say I've ever been involved in one before, but it certainly sounds like fun... What's the plan?

Echo Base - Main Hangar Bay
Disembarking from the Y-8 mining vessel he and his co-pilot - who also happens to be his spouse - have brought from Corellia to deliver them to the NRA - as promised to General Endor by Corellia's Diktat, Sabina Gaultieri - Santo Nicholaus, a rosy cheeked, portly human male with a jolly disposition and a magnificent grey and white white beard who is bundled up warmly in red attire suitable for Hoth's climate, turns to watch the other vessels that have come along with the Y-8 - a StarHauler-class drone barge containing crates of Trickster Decoys, H2-1 hyperdrives and Ap/11 double laser cannons; an L-2783 piloted by a FEG-series pilot droid; and a Corellian heavy lifter piloted by another FEG - setting down around the hangar bay.
Turning as his spouse, Jessica, also bundled up in warm red clothing, joins him, Santo puts an arm around her shoulders and says, "Let's get the Hauler droids started on unloading the parts while we wait for someone to come along and accept the Diktat's little gift to the NRA," and then makes his way with Jessica to the StarHauler to set their droids to work.

Can't say I've ever been involved in one before, but it certainly sounds like fun... What's the plan? "A two pronged assault. The compound is defended by state of the art TIE Whispers and a nearly impenetrable anti-aircraft system. Our only guess as to why such costly resources were devoted to this camp is because it holds someone or someone's of significance to the Empire. Probably someone we could use. First we'll need to draw the TIEs away, which means we're going to need our best pilots flying this one. We don't have anything that can match that sort of firepower, so this ones going to come down to whose better.""I'm better." Endor grinned slyly. "Don't let that arrogance get you killed, General. The Rebellion needs you, even when your insufferable. Now where was I? Right, with the TIEs taken care of we'll still need to bring down the AA system before we can bring in the gunships and start extracting people. We'll need a strike team to approach on foot, infiltrate the compound, and bring down those guns." Jyn's fishy features hardened. "Given what we've seen of the air defenses, the compound likely has a higher than usual class of trooper stationed there. We can expect heavy resistance. Considering the danger, the team will be comprised of volunteers." She placed a webbed hand on the holo-table. "It's a risk, but it'll work.""I'm sold." Growled Endor, crossing his arms and puffing out his chest slightly in mock bravado. "I've never fought against a TIE Whisper before. Sounds like fun. My fighters a little older but she's still got a few tricks hidden up her chassis." He winked. "I also may have recruited the help of a Jedi from Corellia, one with a special ops team under their command. So this ones going to be a breeze."Echo Base - Main Hangar Bay

Beep-Boop Beep-Blip Boop Beep Boopity Blip Bleep! An uniquely painted astromech droid rolled forwards towards the elderly couple that were thankfully sensibly dressed for the weather. You had no idea how many of the furry aliens just walked around naked. From its heat exhaust to its audio sensors access panel it was painted a bark brown with dark forest green bordering. Ewok tribal markings decorated his casing, depicting tales told around the campfires of Bright Tree Village for countless generations. To bear such markings the astromech droid was clearly honoured, so it was a strange wonder why he and his owner Endor did not seem to get along very well. The foul mouthed astromech was not shy about letting the bumbling woodsman know what he thought about some of his stupider actions.R6-66 whootled and beeped as he rolled up to Santo and Jessica, blurting and bleating in droid speech as it welcomed the pair from Corellia. Stumbling in the snow cloud the rolling robot left in its wake, a chestnut furred ewok fumbled after the mean machine. Though the only clothing he wore was a traditional hide hood over his unusually luscious fur, his fuzzy mane provided adequate warmth against the artic chill. Helping himself to a measure of fermented tauntaun milk also helped stave off the cold. He had the snowoks to thank for that culinary invention. Chewfang stood a little taller than most ewoks. There was a reason for that, a deep shameful reason that really should never be told. Regardless, he was rather large for an ewok. He easily stood a head taller, if not two. His legs and his arms were lankier than most ewoks, and his fur grew longer and was much shinier."Welcome to Hoth." Growled Chewfang in Shyriiwook, which I'm assuming is like a bunch of barks and stuff. "The ice is free." More barks. As a representative of the NRA, you have our sincerest thanks for these much needed supplies. The hangar techs would be happy to service and refuel your vehicle, and what little hospitality we have is yours. My furry comrade is correct, the ice is free. And this was of course spoken in a series of bleeps and bloops as droid speak tends to do.
