Description:
Shortly after the reunification of Serenno, the Lord Commander, Duke Lucien Malvern, sought to create a ship that was built as a symbol of their combined defense, mutual cause, and unified military power in seeking a better future for the galaxy. After conversing with the Jedi Lords, and shipbuilders, Circle of Lords, and the Assembly, approved the Orion-class Battleship, a veritable warship that would command their fleets and bring great firepower to their enemies.
At 1,700 meters, the Orion-class is a hundred meters longer than the Imperial-class Star Destroyer. It was capable of commanding fleets, waging land campaigns, and serving as an immense warship that could battle through the frontlines. A key feature, and weakness, is the command tower that overlooks the vessel, which is why the shipbuilders ensured the installation of redundant shield generators to give it extra protection across the vessel.
The battleships armament currently stacks to be 14 quad heavy turbolaser turrets, 50 heavy turbolaser batteries, 65 turbolaser cannons, 45 ion cannon turrets, 60 point defense laser cannons, 12 tractor beam projectors and 30 proton torpedo tubes (with a payload of 2,000 proton torpedoes). Its complement included 72 starfighters and 8,000 troops (or droids).
