Description:
At the same time as the Martillo was being designed, the Tormenta-class Bomber was also unveiled. Whereas the Martillo is meant to hammer enemy capital ships, the Tormenta-class was designed to be fast and deliver a bombing run on enemy fortifications, positions, and capital ships. It carried a turreted Dual Laser Cannon for fending off enemy fighters, and had a bombing bay which could be loaded out with a variety of ordinances to be dropped upon hostile forces. Where as the Martillo favoured a reinforced hull, the Tormenta had slightly less powerful shields, but gained an increase in speed. This allowed it to fly in fast and deliver its payload while avoiding enemy fire. It came equipped with a hyperdrive.
