YT-5100 Shriek-class BomberShip Class: Heavy Starfighter Ship Role: Bomber Ship Length: 16.5 meters Agility (A): 3 Defensive (D): 4 Offensive (O): 5 Speed (S): 2 Special Gear: 1 (Ejectable Bridge) Description:Designed specifically to provide a bomber capability to the Five Worlds, the YT-5100 was shaped like a smaller version of the YT-1300 light freighter, however with a central nose cockpit instead of the cockpit offset to the starboard. Their armaments included frontal torpedo tubes, concussion missiles, a top-mounted quad laser cannon, and a bottom-mounted bomb/spotter droid drop pod. They had three engines, granting a decent amount of agility despite their weight and slow speed. Much like how the stock YT-1300 had a removable cargo pod between its mandibles, the bridge of the YT-5100 can be ejected from between the mandibles as an escape pod, carrying the pilot and the gunner to safety, away from the rest of the ship. The first recorded usage of Shriek bombers in battle was by Panther Flight at the Battle of Tralus in 40 ABY. Their deployment against the Galactic Alliance caused considerable confusion, as older-model sensor systems identified them as typical YT-class freighters. The subsequent barrage of bombs from the Shrieks' drop pods was devastating. Armament:(1) Quad laser cannon turret (rotating, top-mounted) (2) Proton torpedo tubes (front-mounted, 3 torpedoes each) (4) Concussion missile launchers (side-mounted, 2 missiles each) (1) Drop pod (belly-mounted, capable of carrying a wide array of thermal and kinetic bombs) Hyperdrive: Class 1.8 Crew:(1) Pilot (1) Gunner/Missile-man (1) Spotter Droid

Not sure the special gear is needed. Seems it was meant to help with the bombing coordinates, but, there are other sorts of software, algorithms, and such that do this for other bombers, just without the droid like in this submission.
Any other RPA agree or disagree with this point of view?

Just to be clear, the drop pod and spotter droid are canon, but there is very little information available about their capabilities.
Edit: I'm fine with removing that as special gear, if there is no disagreement.

Deleted the drop pod as special gear, I realized I forgot to subtract the extra point for maxing out the offense. So let's just assume the 5 for offense covers all of that.

Dangit. I just realized something new while staring at these photos. That cockpit is probably detachable - look at it's position between the mandibles. The stock YT-1300 had a detachable cargo pod in that same position (as seen in Solo). Why would they retain the mandibles unless the structure held between them detaches?
I'll make another edit. Sigh.

I think this looks good now, with the self caught edits.

I checked some other canon bombers of similar shape, and you're right. Length has been increased to 19.5. I feel it should still be smaller than the VCX-820 (20.2 meters).

the length of the ship was fine, i meant that the image you have for the ship is a bit image and that you should make it smaller.

the length of the ship was fine, i meant that the image you have for the ship is a bit image and that you should make it smaller. The 100 percent width comes from the template. If the RPA doesn't want large images, I recommend updating the template to enforce a fixed dimension (maybe a fixed maximum height?), not a relative dimension. I'll test that on mine and see. Edit: changed the max-width to a max-height of 300px, and I just went and checked it on a desktop. I think that's what you were looking for.

i was talking about the image size. Some images are big when placed into the template and others are not. Dropping the percentage down to 50 fixes the issue with most images.

Yeah, you can fix that by using pixels instead of percent in your template.
(It should be good now)
