Designed and built cooperatively between Aegohr Manufacturing Ltd. and Renegade Industries , the DD-366 Halberd-Class Destroyer was meant to be a solid ship-of-the-line in any planetary defense force or militia. It was rugged in design, yet very sturdy and surprisingly comfortable for a front line warship. Incorporating previous design values into this design, the Halberd became a fast favorite of Renegade Industries. Fully crewed, the ship required 250 people to operate. It carried 50 troops for boarding actions and self defense, and only had enough hangar space for two shuttles.
Armed with 5 heavy dual turbolaser batteries (1 fore, 1 aft, 1 port, 1 starboard), 26 variable ordinance warhead launchers capable of holding 4 missiles each, 4 dual turbolaser batteries and 10 point defense laser cannons, it was relatively well armed for its size and purpose, though its true potential is eventually revealed as a missile boat, rather than a ship meant to slug it out with opposing forces. All in all, this publicly available warship was still a formidable addition to any fleet that desired it.
