=Twi'lek force user to Mahir= There are elements on this world who would call you a war criminal. There are people who will kill you on site, at this point for just being a non-Twi'lek. There's a group here claiming to be here to help, and they are at war with the Sesk'vati. You are in danger here. I can sense you. They will not. Even those who do might not care. It would do you good to leave. The Twi'lek tossed the lightsaber on the bed next to the Jedi.
I am Jer'afa. Let them try, I will not leave a second time. I am in danger no matter where I go, and I am not one to run from my enemies, nor to hide from my allies, even if they are mistaken in their beliefs about me.I catch the lightsaber with ease, and slide it back into my left hip pocket. I turn and begin making my way to the hall way of the building, if this twi'lek will not give me aid, then I will proceed under my own power for as long as I can. Whether you will it or not, I will continue my hunt, alone if necessary. This time, I will not relent until my prey is vanquished. You should get back to your people Jer'afa, you have been away from them for too long tending to me. I have faced worse before, I will not likely die now, here among vengeful friends.Shihab began planning his next move. He needed supplies, so he would have to get back to his ship, if it was still there, and restock. Then he'd begin his hunt in earnest. His prey, slavers, pirates, and other scum. These would be dispatched without remorse. Others... thankfully didn't exist at this time, according to Jer'afa. Though that group that was claiming to be assisting the twi'lek people while fighting the Sesk'vati, who ever they were, might need to be dealt with as well, though that project would take some serious planning. He settled for finding whatever passed as a kitchen for the hotel and rummaging through any left over supplies that he could find, before getting ready to make the trip back to his ship.

Jer'afa turned to look the Jedi in the eyes. Thank you. You'd better stay with me so I can--
He was interrupted as he looked toward the sky, as if he could see through the ceiling. Kikalekki no!
The young Force-user bolted from the room, finding a stairwell and climbing for the roof.
Meanwhile...
The eight ships of the (some might say) lesser squadron that Dred had defeated earlier picked up something on their long range sensors and climbed for the sky. One missile was shot down by Tualin 2. Taulin 7 got in front of his missile, and while he failed to get a hit, rammed the missile to take it out of commission. The rest of the squadron turned to pursue the remaining missiles.

Crom'nen heard the shuttles arrive, confirming, to him at least, what he suspected. This was largely an attempt to draw him out. They were within miles of his location in the southern portion of the city, while most of the "action" took place in the northern part, where the fires and firefights were largely contained.
The pilots, not limited to such boundaries, started to spread into lose formations, with each flight of four taking on a single droid. Talon Leader, squadron commander, knew his job. His pilots were well trained. They had received their orders. Now they were in the fight of their lives.
Meanwhile...
When Mahir awoke, his blaster was in place, but his blade was in the hands of the rooms other lone occupant, the Force wielding Twi'lek who had tried to help him. He now stood at the window, looking out.
Meanwhile...Alema'vrei was nearly panicked with fear. She probably would have fired when the thing jumped up, but she was too slow. Now the Jedi girl was trying to help it. She did not try to be rude, but she was very ignorant. She spoke in low tones. You understand... beast? You want to trust it? I mean, I'm all for killing slavers, but this thing... I mean, Worm got in trouble for bringing you in. *Ellie turned to Alema'vrei an spoke in a low voice.*
"He's not a beast. He's a Wookiee, and yes I want to help him. His kind have fallen to slavers and hunters for thousands of years."
*She then turned to the Wookiee again.*
"Do you have a name, can you tell us that at least."
*The Wookiee gave a guttural growl. A simple statement as to who he was.*
"Freyyr. Okay. Like I said we're here to help. Now, do you know what happened to everyone else that was here?"
*Freyyr simple shook his head no. Then gave several roars followed be a low grumble. When he was done Ellie turned to Alema'vrei.*
"He says their gone. The slavers took all the force users, then they..didn't need the rest." *Ellie knew what that meant, the rest were disposed of. This caused a pit to form in her stomach. What kind of people were these slavers.* "I'm sorry. I think we should leave this place."

He raced up the stairs, taking them two or three at time, staying right on the Jer'afa's heels. He got to roof and looked around, taking in both his surroundings and what was going on in the air above and around him. His weapons were still in their places for now, but Shihab was ready to draw either or both at a moments notice.

Shihab noticed the Incoming missiles, and whipped out his charric and took aim. He allowed the force to guide his aim and timing on the shots, and soon fell into rhythmic system of acquiring a target aiming and shooting until the missile exploded in mid air. He did this for five missiles before he had to swap out power packs, but it was obvious that he wouldn't be able to stop all of the missiles. Nor was he likely to be able to pull the same stunt he had earlier that day.
Warn whoever needs to be warned, then meet me at the source of those missiles.
Since the current missiles were now out of range, I fly down to my ship to grab some supplies and a foil meal, which I wolf down in two bites, before quaffing a quart of water, moving back outside, and locking the ship up once more. I raise my wings and race through the air, minimizing my chances of being stopped by any enemies or vengeful friends. I trace the faint smoke trails of the missile back through the sky across the city, myself flying only a about 20 meters from the ground, to better avoid distracting my airborne allies.

=Jer'afa= No wait!
It was too late. The Jedi was off. Jer'afa could not help take on a ship. He turned and began a long walk down the five flights of stairs.
Meanwhile...
Crom'nen had travelled through the tunnels beneath the city undetected by all but a worm which obliviously chewed on the mold growing on the side of one of the tunnels. He stood back from an entrance, waiting until a squad of four enemy soldiers passed by.
Hey. Pssst! Crom'nen stuck a green, talonned hand out from the tunnel and waved to the soldiers to come to him, still speaking in hushed tones. You are the guys looking for the Senator, right? I have information, but I don't want others to see me talking to you.
Crom'nen backed once again into the utter darkness of the tunnel. If they followed, they would be able to see little other than the outline of a Twi'lek male holding a quart-sized metal drinking cylander.

Arkan's plan did not seem to be reaping the rewards that he would have expected. He had shut down the large holo-image of himself since the attacks increased, his Black Guard unit had been fending off the Twi'leks for a while but now they were having to change position and fall back to back-up locations under a more furious attack. The Captain was more or less safe in his elevated position in a small tower but he had another plan.
This is the Captain to the Cutlass, come in Cutlass.
Cutlass here, what do you need Captain.
I need a missile strike on the city, do you have missile tubes operational?
Tubes two and four are operational and can be ready within moments.
Excellent, I'm sending you co-ordinates of a target near me, make sure the strike is accurate!
We have those co-ordinates sir, firing in thirty six seconds.
Excellent, Arkan out.
The Captain had identified a building nearby that the enemy could identify and use as a staging are for attacks on his forces. Even if they weren't using the building now they might in future and he couldn't have that happen. He also hoped that enemy civilians were currently occupying the structure, that would add effect to his speech. However, his mission was stalling, this could not be allowed to happen.
Dred, come in, this is Arkan, do you have eyes on the Senator?
He said over the commlink as a concussion missile flew over the city, bound for its target. *Dred receives a commlink from Arkan wanting to know where the Senator is. Being as he is preoccupied with a squad of uglies, he lets Arkan know that his present concerns are out maneuvering them.*
::The number you are trying to reach is no longer in service, if you find the recording an error please hang up and dial again.::
*Dred deftly passes by and takes his shots as he needs to, trying to help the other two in the air.*
::I have my hands tied at the moment, but from the chatter he's hiding somewhere near underground.::

Shihab makes it only so far as just beyond the hotel when he is waved down by Jer'afa. Sighing slightly at the delay, he lands and waits to see what Jer'afa has to say know. While he waits, Shihab munches on an energy bar as he notes that his breathing is laboured, something he was unaccustomed too, except after particularly difficult or lengthy flights, or other equally strenuous trials. The shots fired by Dred only tag one Deathseed in an engine. It belts smoke and is losing ground, but still flyable. The pilots are coordinating, trying to call out danger to each other, as well as coodinating attacks. One fires from Dred's left, while another does to the right, both hoping he will juke into the other. Meanwhile...

Shihab frowned slightly as he noticed for the first time that the force, while still all around him and available to him, was slow to respond to his wishes. As he listens to Jer'afa's explanation, he knows he must bow tot the beings wisdom and experiance, though it irked him to not be able to respond to the threat directly. He nodded, and was slightly relieved to note that the force was restoring his body's depleted reserves, even if only at hutt's leisurely pace.
Very, well then... lead on.

Crom'nen leaned back in the chair as does one who is at complete ease. The very first thing is to order your troops to halt. They are still advancing on the core of the city yes? Ceasing this could be a show of good faith. Second, surrender to me. This is a mere formality of course, but if I can leave here and try to find our remaining military leaders and tell them you have surrendered to me, then my people will stop fighting yours. But I do not lie to my own people. Even though this is a formality, an issue I order I expect to be followed, else I will order your execution. Third, and this needs to happen immediately, I need to know more about this mysterious group of yours. If you want to help, truly help, I need to know fleet specs, here and elsewhere. I need to know about your command structure: who your leaders are. This includes military and civilian leaders, as well as financial backers. I need to know exactly who it is I am dealing with. Lahiir nodded in agreement, motioning for one of her soldiers by the comm array to come over. She leaned over and whispered something into his ear, and he responded by doing the same in turn before returning to station. She mulled over the holographic map briefly, studying the intel of enemy slaver movements and their positions before looking up to Crom'nen. She made sure her head was tilted and that the comm specialist was listening to what she was about to say."That can be done. The teams I have out there are at the border of the core regions. I'll have them hold position there and continue reconnaissance of the enemy forces. I may even have them fall back to their secondary positions." She then sighed as she pondered the next item that she was about to address."As for our 'mysterious group', there is only so much I am permitted to tell you. Everything else is above my pay grade. You can get everything from our CEO and representatives at our headquarters on Serenno. Surely you understand that I can't just give out information like that. I doubt even you would tell me the details of your forces here in Lessu, or the entirety of the Republic's fleet strength if I simply asked." "Now, as for this surrender. You say that is a 'mere formality' but back it with the threat of execution. Let us discuss the actual terms of this surrender so I understand exactly what it is that you are asking, and so you understand what distance we are willing to go."

There is a difference between you and the Republic. The Republic is a legal military force. You are a rogue group. You supported a Jedi sect that no longer exists. For all I know you are now for hire, yes? If you have a CEO, then you are a group that needs a profit. The Republic was invited here by the very Clan Council that lies dead under the Republic vessel. You make no claims at governmental legitimacy. And I do not have time to go to Serenno to have a formal parley with your leaders. You know this, and so you back me into a corner, whether truthful or not. One does not like to be in a corner while under attack.
Therefore, your surprise at the threat of execution is unwarranted. Very simply, in surrendering, you acknowledge my authority on behalf of Ryloth and obey my orders. Any deviation from those orders will be seen as proof that you are what I initially suspected: working for the enemy under the guise of being an ally in order to pass unharrassed. If it is such a scheme, it is a brilliant one, one that might work on a hunder worlds over. But this is Ryloth. We suspect everything, because we've seen it all before.
Crom'nen leaned in. For once, he was going to be completely honest, even though he doubted he would be believed.
Do not make the mistake of underestimating me as a mere politician. I have led teams of Jedi, Mandos, Sith, pirates, and everything else in between, using all to defeat evils that you have never dreamed of, evils that would unite such forces. One enemy threatened captured me and threatened to cut out my tongue and dip it in gold as the most valuable treasure in the galaxy. I stand and she does not. I am not to be trifled with.

Had Arkan's plan worked, had he drawn this being out with his holographic offer? Only one was to find out.
"Come out here, there's not another living Twi'lek for at least one hundred metres, my squad made sure of that!"
The Pirates were well versed in guerrilla warfare and if Zun wanted to ambush an invader, tunnels is how he would do it. He activated his comm-unit as two members of his squad rounded the corner. They were similarly dressed and armed and mirrored their squad leaders posture. One pointed his heavy repeater at the Twi'lek whereas the other pointed it over a low wall nearby, can't have anyone sneaking up on them during this.
Zun to Arkan, I am in the process of taking a prisoner who claims to have information about the Senator. I'm close to rally point bravo, over.
Arkan to Zun, I'm on my way. I'm currently two hundred metres from your position, eta 2 minutes. If the prisoner is not co-operative, kill him. I don't want anyone to relay our exact positions to the enemy and it might set a nice example to the rest.
Zun nodded and cut the commlink. He knew the Captain would be on the scene soon, now to handle the situation before he got here!
"Come on now, get outta that hole before I blast you into mush and they have to clean you out!"

*Ellie chased after Alema'vrei, the Wookiee in tow.*
"As long as you can hit a target we'll be okay."
*She hurried up the ramp and into the cockpit. The ship itself, she noted, seemed to be full of supplies of some sort. She dropped down into the pilots seat and began to run though pre-flight checks. Once the board ran green and the ships engines gave a low hum. She eased the massive ship out of the makeshift hangar.*
"Alright, where to? You know this planet better then I do."

Lahiir chuckled softly and shook her head lightly, looking over at one of her soldiers by the window before turning her attention back to the matter at hand. She recomposed herself, but a small smile could still be seen on her lips.
"Oh no, the only difference between the Emerald Blades and the Republic is that you are larger, have inhabited multiple worlds, and have reached the status of 'government'. The Republic is not what it used to be, as it's previous prominence has been lost to many other factions throughout the galaxy who have their own government and establishment of planets. And an organization is only as legal as it's extent of power through the use of force is. I'm quite sure your forces would be considered 'illegal' over in the Imperial sectors, would it not?"
She waved slightly, dismissing the point.
"Regardless, it seems that your knowledge of history only extends so far if you do not know that we indeed do have a CEO and work off of profit. The Emerald Blades is a private military contractor who specializes in security. As I told you, our headquarters is on Serenno. So no, we do not claim a 'governmental legitimacy' because we are not part of a government. We followed all the rules and run a legitimate business. We were invited here by a diplomat on business, and now it seems that he is no longer our employer now that our investigation for him has come to an apparent close."
She straitened up in her seat, using her hands to smooth the folds in her pants and jacket.
"With that being said, I do recognize that this is Republic and Rylothian territory. And seeing how our initial business here has been concluded and with no intent of being deceptive to aforementioned powers, we surrender to you... Under two conditions. One, you do not inquire about classified information that we are not allowed to divulge of under the threat of our contract with the company being terminated. Not only can you inquire about it after this is over, but it is inappropriate to do so under the circumstances of the city. And two, because of the current situation, you will not order us to render ourselves defenseless by the removal of our arms until this conflict is resolved. This is still a war zone and we have every right to defend ourselves."
She stood from her seat, taking several steps around the table before stopping halfway. She waited for the senator to do the same.
"I do not make the mistake of underestimating us as mere mercenaries. We have fought with Jedi, with and against the Sith, and against Mandos, pirates, slavers, and in particular xenomorphic creatures during the Plague Wars." She threw that anecdote out there to see how in depth his history studies were. "We have been through many, many engagements. Underestimating us would be a grave mistake as well."

"Come on now, get outta that hole before I blast you into mush and they have to clean you out!" The Green skinned Twi'lek came out, hands raised. He was counting on these humans being like most others, believing that all non-humans looked the same. He came slowly closer, but circled away from the entrance to the tunnel. There is no need for such hostility. I came to you, remember? If I wanted to attack or run, I would have. Are you thirsty? He shook the metal cylander in his hand.*Ellie chased after Alema'vrei, the Wookiee in tow.*
Alema'vrei strapped in and turned on the sensors. She also began messing with the ship's comm to tune into Rylothian military frequencies. I'm trying to show us friendly to local forces... ok, that should do it. Looks like one of our squadrons is tangled up with... something. Make that three somethings. I vote we blow the schutta out of the sky. Lahiir chuckled softly and shook her head lightly, looking over at one of her soldiers by the window before turning her attention back to the matter at hand. She recomposed herself, but a small smile could still be seen on her lips."Oh no, the only difference between the Emerald Blades and the Republic is that you are larger, have inhabited multiple worlds, and have reached the status of 'government'. The Republic is not what it used to be, as it's previous prominence has been lost to many other factions throughout the galaxy who have their own government and establishment of planets. And an organization is only as legal as it's extent of power through the use of force is. I'm quite sure your forces would be considered 'illegal' over in the Imperial sectors, would it not?" She waved slightly, dismissing the point."Regardless, it seems that your knowledge of history only extends so far if you do not know that we indeed do have a CEO and work off of profit. The Emerald Blades is a private military contractor who specializes in security. As I told you, our headquarters is on Serenno. So no, we do not claim a 'governmental legitimacy' because we are not part of a government. We followed all the rules and run a legitimate business. We were invited here by a diplomat on business, and now it seems that he is no longer our employer now that our investigation for him has come to an apparent close." She straitened up in her seat, using her hands to smooth the folds in her pants and jacket."With that being said, I do recognize that this is Republic and Rylothian territory. This is still a war zone and we have every right to defend ourselves." She stood from her seat, taking several steps around the table before stopping halfway. She waited for the senator to do the same."I do not make the mistake of underestimating us as mere mercenaries. We have fought with Jedi, with and against the Sith, and against Mandos, pirates, slavers, and in particular xenomorphic creatures during the Plague Wars." She threw that anecdote out there to see how in depth his history studies were. "We have been through many, many engagements. Underestimating us would be a grave mistake as well." This young lieutenant seemed bitter. Something had gone wrong to turn her against what the Republic stood for. He liked that. Reminded him of himself. That said, she had now pledged herself to...what? Only time might tell. Perhaps with time he might turn her for his own uses. It was a shame she was only human. He was unimpressed with the mention of the Plague Wars. He knew it was a Sith named Darth Dragus who finally defeated the Plague Lord. This Sith was familiar with a former Jedi associate of his. Crom'nen had not been involved, as he had taken painstakingly great effort to hide himself from the universe until his own task had been completed. He waited until the speech was done before he stood. I have no intention of disarmorment. The Twi'lek are over burdened with recovery and war. My people have the knowledge and resources to rescue those trapped in rubble. But those forces are occupied with fighting. While we are more than capable of such action, people will die while we are delayed. I want your forces to turn from the city center and drive the hostile forces back. Think you could do this?

*The control board in front of Ellie confirmed that they were reading as friendlies. Which was good, she didn't feel like being shot down by friendly fire today. She eased the throttle forward and brought the large gunship around to the coordinates that Alema'vrei gave her. The engines roared to life as she gave them more speed, pushing them faster towards the ensuing dogfight.*
"So. Do we know exactly what these somethings are?"
*She didn't have to wait long for an answer before her board lit up. A good distance away, on the edge of her scanners reach, was a skirmish going on. From what, she couldn't tell at the distance, but they were closing in.*

Yep. The Medic started streaming data to her targeting computer. They're the bad guys.
