Data Log: Lessu was one of the two capital cities of Ryloth and endpoint of the Death Wind Corridor. Contents
Historical Log: Ro Fenn's estate and the seat of the ruling Twi'lek Clan Council were located there. Like most cities on Ryloth, Lessu was located in the relatively narrow band of habitable land on that planet. During the Clone Wars, a small Separatist army, commanded by Wat Tambor, took control of the planet and took the Twi'leks as prisoners. They installed a plasma bridge as the only way to get into the city, which they could turn on or shut down. The capital was later freed by the combined forces of freedom fighters and the Galactic Republic, guided by Jedi Master Mace Windu and rebel leader Cham Syndulla, with aerial support from Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano's fighter squadron.

Pixie finished the download from a local terminal on her data pad, all teched out in some low quality slicer gear. She was there to try and get the history of this planet and sell it and its resources to the highest bidder so she could continue to make ends meat for her family back on her home planet. Once the download was done she got up from her crouched position and concealed her terminal entrance and got to her feet and looked up at the days sky that shown down upon her face through her shaded eye glasses.

This city was home not just to thousands of Twi'lek, but the Twi'lek Clan Council. These five Twi'lek were elected from the largest and most prominent clan in order to rule over both the world and the species, in theory. They had voted to join the Galactic Republic, and to appoint a reluctant Crom'nen to the Senate to represent the second most populous species in the galaxy.

*The Republic cruiser exits the gravity well and hits re-entry with the engines locked on full ahead, the coordinates locked in on the capital building and the controls sabotaged. Effectively it was a massive missile heading for the capital building screaming mayday as the crew is still aboard and can do nothing to avoid the capital building.*
*Meanwhile, the Cutlass is using this opportunity to hit re-entry and heads to the surface after the Republic cruiser has met with whatever fate it has in store for it. Should the capital building have turrets and shields they would have to decide if the lives on board were worth killing. Even if the did shoot it down the debris would still be enough to knock out the shield generators. Either way it would be a spectacle to behold whatever happened.*
*Dred himself takes time to patch up as Gukky helps him. He still feels some of the residual effects of the insanity. Gukky does his best to patch him up as he watches Major, Kraval and Arkan marvel at the massive missile head to the surface on a one way crash course for the capital building.*

Warat'necarthi, leader of one of the five Head Clans, stood in the Capitol watching the space battle. Though he was a great warrior among his people, he ahd never been in a naval battle. Being in the perpetual Twilight, he could clearly see the flashes of turbolasers and occassional explosion. As he watched, one side won. Which, mattered little to those on the ground. Still, as he watched, something began to appear, a fireball, like a small sun, appeared in the sky. As he watched, it continued to grow until he figured out what it was, a great, shieldless ship, entering atmosphere. It moved quickly. He wasn't sure the small spaceport could handle such a large ship. By the time he realized the ship would not, could not slow, it was too late for him to do anything but stare.
The impact of the great ship killed many, including Warat. Most of the city is buried underground, but fires broke out even in the tunnels. Those unhurt rushed to the crash site in shock, wanting to help survivors.

A single AIAT/i coasted along the plains towards the curious city of Lessu. They had just came from Kala'uun, where their vehicles and hyperspace capable ship was located. The platoon of soldiers on board were headed to their next assignment, which was from a diplomat looking to go on a dangerous mission to see the signing of a peace treaty between two rival factions on Coruscant. He had been slipped a lot of money under the table for this particular job, which he was using towards protection so that he could continue getting these lucrative offers. He had chosen the Emerald Blades to accompany him as his security detail, and they were more than happy to oblige.
The pilot, Corporal Grumby stared wide eyed as the ship came down on their destination. He called his superior officer to the cockpit to watch the spectacle and assess their situation. The two sat in silence for a few minutes as they approached the city, noticing the lack of hails from spaceport control or any other city authority. With this in mind, they brought the vessel down in the backyard of the diplomat's villa. They flooded out and secured the area, moving into the villa itself to see if their employer was there. After gathering all of the servants and questioning them, it appeared that their employer had made a trip to the capital building that 'morning'. The platoon began to organize within the villa and draw out plans for a brief search of the city to see what they could find.

Arkan orders the Cutlass to stay in the air to see the full impact of the ruined destroyer, it was almost as sweet as stealing it from the Republic. The huge explosion would no doubt cause a backlash and the crew still had a mission to complete, though now it was be easier to pick off refugees as slaves. He ordered the helmsman to land the ship not too far from a main transport link between Lessu and Kala'uun. The crew would easily be able to ambush refugees from here.
The Captain quickly walked from the front of the bridge to the rear, where he activated the holo-table to project a map of the local area. Highlighted were the cities of Lessu and Kala-uun along with the major traffic route and their current position. He would leave the slaving for the Reapers to deal with, he had a much more pressing engagement with the Senator of this planet, or his corpse.
"The fun's not over just yet, I'll get the Reapers to do most of the slaving from this transport route, I have no doubt the Twi'lek will be moving a great numbers along it. As for us, we need to head into the crater of a city and find the Senator or his body. We have a bounty to collect."
He spoke to the usual characters along with some more recent additions to the crew who were already proving useful. He had no doubt that any security the Senator has would be washed aside by the pirates. After outlining the plan he turned and kicked the bloody body of his previous First Mate to the side of the bridge. "Someone clean this up already, it stinks!"

With the chaos of the crash, there was very little organization. The military went into action, acting as first responders. They were coordinating in grids, fighting the massive fires and assisting in search and rescue. No one was organizing an evacuation nor a lockdown. Civilians, as civilians tend to do, panic.

Dred motions for them to take care of it and smacks the first one he can reach for forgetting to remove it. Dead Bothan did stink. He thought they they smelled bad on the outside. When they land, Dred gets ready to enact Arkan's orders.*
"I'll take one of the bes'uliik. Take the air and cut off whatever advancements they have in the City."
*Dred starts to make his way to do just that.*

The hovertrucks finally left the tunnel, and Crom'nen was alerted. He stood up and nudged the human.
Let us see what calamaties have befallen us because of what your Jedi have done. Keep your lightsaber on at all times. It will let our soldiers know not to kill you.
Crom'nen departed the hovertruck to find the city in chaos. Fires were still burning, despite the best efforts of the fire crews. People were running everywhere. Some screamed for help. Others just screamed. There was terror and shock everywhere. Some just stared at the destruction. Others stared at the sky in fear, waiting for the next cruiser to drop. Crom'nen knew he could help. He just had to do what he did best: talk.
While his newly arrived soldiers began to deploy, he grabbed his communications expert, and set up a broadcast. Every being on the planet who could receive a signal would hear his voice. It was time for Nawara'passik to begin.
People of Ryloth.
Anyone within the sound of my voice is aware of the disaster that has fallen our people in Lessu. As of yet, it seems impossible for the Clan Council to have survived. But that does not mean hope is lost. I have arrived on scene at Lessu, and will be using my authority as Senator to take over the situation here, until a new Clan Council can be selected.
In the mean time, let us remember our proud heritage. We are a people known throughout the galaxy for our strength, bravery, and fortitude. This situation will be no different. Such disasters have befallen us before, and in the galaxy likely shall again. But we will not falter. We will not role over and die. Neither Brightlands nor Darklands shall overtake us. We shall abide. Our people will do so with the same strength and courage that our Sesk'vati, Sesk'nabsilai, and first responders, and ordinary citizens are showing right now with their rescue efforts. That is what makes our people great.
Ryma gesu'tak allesh.
With a twitch of his lekku, the transmission ended. For once in his life, Crom'nen made a speech without lying. His people would endure this. He would see to it.

*Ellie broke meditation when Crom'nen nudged her. She rose from her position and followed him from the truck. When he spoke, she stood a distance behind him, her hand on the hilt of her long handled lightsaber. Once the speech was finished she walked up beside him and spoke in a low voice only he could hear.*
"They are not my Jetti (Jedi) anymore."

Crom'nen's chin raised somewhat at what the girl said. He pointed to her lightsaber. Keep that on. On. Our starfighters will begin strafing the city. Their orders are to kill anything moving that is an alien, that is, non-Twi'lek. But we alerted them that the blue lightsaber is a friendly. It will save your life.
Crom'nen then addressed the group assembled. None of you have ever been through anything like this. I have. The key is to not get overwhelmed by the size. Focus on what is in front of you. You may not be able to save all, but help each one as you would like to for all. Divide into small groups and begin a grid search starting right here. Use your comlinks to coordinate if you need assistance. Drivers, remain with the trucks and load the wounded as you are summoned. Load six wounded and leave. Six. Those are your orders. Move out and Ma’allesh.
While most began to divide into groups as ordered by their NCOs, Alema'vrei and the large, brown skinned male who had carried an unconscious Ellie earlier (whom Alema introduced as Mazer'dura), came over by Ellie. The normally bold and impetuous medic now seemed quiet and unsure, waiting for Ellie's lead. Crom'nen however, turned his back on the city and the group, and stood staring at the ridgeline, to the place where the sun perpetually lay just over the horizon for all eternity.

*Ellie gave Crom'nen a nod. She gripped the lightsaber in her right hand and activated it, the blue blade hummed to life with a snap. Letting out a slow breath, she turned to the medic and Mazer'dura.*
"Ready?"

*Ellie gave a nod before turning back to the carnage. She closed her eyes and sank into the force, emotions from panicked civilians ran like fire around her. Blocking out these emotions, she focused her attention on more subtle details to find her targets. After a minute she found what she was looking for, a weak spark of life not far from where she was.*
*Nearby was what looked like a slab of cement from a collapsed building laying on its side. Ellie pointed at the slab with her left hand.*
"There. I can sense a weakening life force under that slab."
"Without another word she made her way down to the slab as fast as her injuries would allow. Once there she placed her hand on the slab and closed her eyes again, sinking back into the force.*
"It feels like something small. A child maybe."

Mazer'dura got his fingers under the slab and heaved. Nothing. Then he got a wrecked peice of beam and tried leverage. Nothing. Alema'vrei nervously pawed at the bag of medical supplies strapped to her. The heavy equipment is digging out larger buildings that have more people trapped. Maybe I can get one of the trucks to try to drag it.
Meanwhile...
While others scurried off to participate in the rescue, Crom'nen remained statuesque, chin in the air, studying the sky. Finally he spoke in a low voice. Let us hunt, my Gerkak'vati.

*Ellie felt slight disapointment when there was nothing beneath the slab. She knew there was something there though, buried beneath the rubble. Turning to Alema'vrei, she handed her the activated lightsaber.*
"No time. Now hold this and stay close."
*Closing her eyes, she reached out with the force and grabbed the beam. Focusing all her effort, she imagined the beam lifting. With a low groan the beam began to slowly liftoff the ground and move away from the spot. Shifting her footing, she willed the beam to push away from the area. Once a safe distance she broke the connection causing the piece of steel to crash to the ground. Opening her eyes she turned back to Alema'vrei and extended her hand.*
"Lightsaber please."

Alema'vrei was surprised, no, shocked. Since she had been caring for Ellie, she had come to see her as weak, just a young girl. In truth, Ellie reminded the medic of her baby sister, the one whom Crom'nen had rescued. She had forgotten the raw power behind the petite frame. While Mazer'dura began to lift out smaller chunks, she handed the lightsaber back. You really are a Sesk'nabsilai, that is, a Force user. I think, I guess, that is I mean... I'd kinda forgotten. I'm sorry.
Meanwhile...
Crom'nen took a glow rod and led F'rarl through one of the many tunnels, violating his own orders, of course. What good was giving orders if you had to obey them also? The tunnels where abandonned. Parts of them were collapsed near the crash site, and the military had closed the tunnels in fear of another ship dropping on the city. Crom'nen had little fear of such a move. Their point was made. Downing a second ship would only kill those that he was sure they intended to kidnap. For this, he would make them pay.

*Ellie gave Alema'vrei a sheepish grin.*
"That's okay." *The smile faded from her face and a looking of sad longing replaced it.* "Sometimes I wish I wasn't. Just..be normal for a day, you know."
*She turned her attention back to the hole from which she felt the force signature. Calmly she waited to see what Mazer'dura found anything yet.*
