Starbird-Class BattleshipShip Class: Star Destroyer Ship Role: Battleship Ship Length: 1,700 meters Agility (A): 3 Defensive (D): 3 Offensive (O): 4 Speed (S): 3 Special Gear: 2 (Troop Space, Hangar Space) Description:Project Starbird was a Corellian Coalition initiative to create a new line of ships based upon the Starhawk-class Battleship but smaller. The Starbird-class Battleship was the result of this time and effort. In terms of strength, the Starbird takes more after the Starhawk Mark II, with an impressive list of weapons. In terms of defence, it is nothing outside of the ordinary. Something attributed to the vessels shortened length, which necessitated an adjustment in layout and systems. The Starbird can support 7,200 soldiers and 96 Starfighters thanks to the increased hangar bay space created in the ship's prow that was connected through the vessels bow to the hangar bays in the side of the Starbird. Weapons:60 Turbolaser Batteries 30 Heavy Turbolaser Batteries 40 Laser Cannon Batteries 15 Point Defence Laser Cannon Batteries 20 Ion Torpedoes Batteries 20 Concussion Missiles Batteries 6 Tractor Beam Projectors Complement:96 Starfighters 7,200 Troops

A recommendation: perhaps hyperlink the Starhawk I and II's approved submissions into this submission.

I wonder if we should up the Starhawk II to a 5 in offensive seeing as this will be a 4 and made to have the firepower of the Mark II. After all, this and the Mark II have the same stats.

it was more meant allegorically in terms of the comparison, since the Mark I Starhawk was slightly lighter weaker in over all strength terms. And this has some armaments similar to the ISD in terms of strength. Then there is the fact the Mark II is a class above this, meaning there'd be a jump in terms of comparative strength. a 4 in Star Destroyers would be weaker than a 4 in Heavy Star Destroyers. Not sure you'd have a need to up it.

At first reading I felt that it had a lot of weapons.

Alright then, this gets my approval! Edit: actually, lets use a different image for the Starbird as this and the Starhawk I use the same. Perhaps this?

At first reading I felt that it had a lot of weapons. It's roughly the same, if not slightly less than what is listed on an ISD in terms of armament numbers. Not sure I'd really want to use an image of a ship mid construction for this.
