Description:
The Ragnos’ designs were found on Korriban, along with many other ship designs, by Darths Malvus and SIrona. The plans were mostly finished and finalized but it seemed the project had been scrapped due to the war turning against the Sith Empire. It would have been the crown jewel of the old Sith Empire, a final show of superiority over the Jedi and Republic. But as the war was slowly lost and the Empire fell, these plans, with the fortress they were buried in, were lost to time and memory. But thanks to the pair of Sith, this ship has a chance at new life. Updated by Conclave engineers, the Ragnos-Class Super Star Destroyer is a mighty warship worthy to carry out the will of its masters. At Malvus’ request, backup shield generators were added to augment the already considerable armor and shielding the ship boasted.
Designed to be a final end to the Great Galactic War and the conflicts that followed, the underside of the Ragnos was designed to be able to dock two (2) Harrower-class Dreadnoughts for repairs and resupply. If not used by Harrowers the bay could service smaller vessels as well. With the ventral side of the ship taken up by the Harrower docking bays, the fighter and shuttle hangers were located on the dorsal side. These hangers could hold a combined 144 fighter craft at maximum capacity. The ship was also close to the size of a small city and had a host of troopers stationed aboard at all times. 30,000 troops could be carried aboard along with support and assault vehicles.
The Ragnos was armed with 60 all purpose mass driver cannons, 40 twin heavy turbolaser batteries, 40 twin medium turbolaser batteries, 20 twin ion cannons, 12 heavy proton torpedo tubes and 12 tractor beam emitters were found on the ship. Each side had an even distribution of weaponry. Though it lacked strong anti-fighter measures, relying on its own fighters and the support of friendly fleets to screen them.
But these weapons were not the most fearsome aspect of the ship. Scattered about it, in a pattern and connected through Darkside leylines, could be found focal points for rituals. These sites, when utilized, would draw on the life force of the crew and any aboard not powerful enough in the Force to shield themselves, and deliver this power to whomever sat within the meditation chamber, just behind the bridge. This would greatly increase the power of the Sith in the chamber, but at the coast of the crew’s effectiveness.
