An invitation to the Sun Guard

Greetings all,
I've started this character as the army/navy of the Thyrsian species. To the best of my knowledge, that sets me as the principal author of the race (exception being a couple folks here and there who cite it as their species in their backstory).
I'm still in the early phases of getting my character off the ground, but I'd still like to go ahead and throw this out there:
New player, old player, somewhere-in-between player, if joining the Sun Guard sounds appealing to you, you're officially invited to the party!

Thyrsians are related to Echani, rivaling their combat prowess but favoring heavy armor/tactics rather than the famed agility of the Echani. The Sun Guard was a military unit of Thyrsus that inspired the Empire's Royal Guards. In addition, Thrysian culture has a unifying religious focus with their deity being symbolically related to the sun. Those are the key points to be aware of; as you can see, there's a lot of open-endedness to it, and plenty of fill-in-the-blanks!
I don't insist on anyone to actually declare their species as Thyrsian; just looking at the top ten soldiers in my army, there already exist two counterexamples of non-Thyrsian members.
I also don't insist on anyone to play along with the religiosity, but if that's a motif that makes you uncomfortable then you might just want to be aware that it'll come up.
So yeah, if you're interested in brewing up some RP with me, or want a license to kill in the name of the Son of Suns, or just want a fresh start with a new character and this might fit your bill, then I invite you to drop a line and let me know!
