Felt odd for Galaar Fett when he entered the Oyu'baat. The last time he had been here, he had served as an unofficial representative of the Fett clan during the last summit of the Mandalorians in an attempt to reunite the clans once more. To which nothing was achieved, unfortunately. Galaar now returned to this older, wiser and an Aliit'ator. He scans the bar area, wondering if clan leaders got discounts. The Fett removes his helmet, going over to investigate the quality of tihaar these days. Hopefully he wouldn't have to wait too long for Damocles Ordo to return and call a meeting of the clans.
As a glass was poured for him, the Fett began to ponder on his meeting with Damocles. Must have been his youth that gave the kid the energy to back his charisma. Certainly other leaders would look down upon the simple fact of his age, but that was merely a number. Galaar remembered killing his first prey on Dxun at the age of fourteen. Cemented his transition to manhood and the beginning of his reputation, as well as his long-time career before coming to Concord Dawn. At least this glass of tihaar would keep him company while the Mandalorian waited on Damocles to finish his rounds to the other clans.

Glancing around, Aya spotted someone she knew. Or more accurately, someone that was in the II's databases already. The big feeorin had been looking for information out on Etti IV, apparently he hadn't found it yet. Making her way over to him, Aya settles into one of the chairs by the fire. Meanwhile Tahu stopped at the bar to get both of them drinks.
-Aya Oya vode.
A moment later, Aya's companion reached the chair. Not bothering to sit, Tahu simply leaned against the back of Aya's chair, causing it to creak slightly. Aya quickly snagged the drink lowered to her with a mummer of thanks.

Ba'jur bal beskar'gam, Ara'nov, aliit, Mando'a bal Mand'alor— An vencuyan mhi. It was a children's rhyme, taught to every young Mandalorian. It helped them to remember the six core tenets of the resol'nare. Translated to basic, it became "Education and armor, Self-defense, our tribe, Our language and our leader— All help us survive."
Damocles muttered the resol'nare rhyme quietly to himself as he walked into the Oyu'baat. His three traveling companions entered behind him. Damocles recognized Galaar over at the bar. As he scanned the room, he paused a moment as he saw the II logo. A flash of his vision came to him then, remembering the battle he had seen. He pulled himself together then. In his travels to the various Clan leaders, he had learned to whom the insignia belonged. He was willing to bet that the armored woman sitting at the table sporting that logo was exactly who he thought it was. After motioning to a booth for the others to sit at, Damocles made his way over to the table. As he got closer, he saw the other man she was sitting with.
It wasn't someone that Damocles immediately recognized. But it was likely someone important. He moved to approach the table so that he was well in view of those seated. He removed his helmet and placed it down upon the table. As a server came by, he ordered a mug of tihaar before bowing his head to those at the table, still not taking his seat yet "You must be the Aliit'alor of D'Ordinii... Mind if I have a seat?"

As more and more filed into the old tapcaf, it seemed to Kebiin that the rumors must have been true. A meeting of sort had been called and was near to starting. If he felt there were more time, Kebiin may have tried to have a few more members of Carid present. Even without numbers, he was still the Aliit'alor and would speak for the clan. For now however, he would simply listen.

Aya shrugged, there was room enough around the fire & stars above knows she hadn't bothered asking the original occupant. She didn't know the new comer, but he seemed to know her. She was actually a little surprised at that, as her visit hadn't been overtly announced & she wasn't in the usual flamboyant armor she generally wore while on official duty.
-Aya It is an open bar, Vode. Tion'cuy?

"So it is... But it does not hurt to tionir..." Damocles pulled the seat out then and set himself upon it, letting the backpack rest on the floor by his foot. The server returned and placed the mug of Tihaar on the table before disappearing again. Damocles studied the other man a moment, who remained quiet for the time being. Before returning his attention back to the woman he had correctly identified as the Clan Leader of D'Ordinii. While it had could have been a fifty-fifty chance she was who he thought she was, her guards increased the odds a great deal. It was then that he remembered that the woman had asked him who he was "I am Damocles of aliit Ordo... And I am quite certain we will be seeing a little more of each other..." Damocles had a drink of his Tihaar then, giving Aya a moment to think about that remark. He set the mug back down again and looked between the two. Noticing the Clan Carid marking on Kebiin's armour "You must be... Would I be wrong to say the Aliit'alor of Carid? Word has travelled fast if you are both here..."

With a sinking suspicion, Aya did a quick sensor tally of known Aliit'alors or other high ranking lieutenants. The final count was much, much higher than it should be on a given day. In short, Aya was now suspecting that her day off was about to become anything but. Aya could, when she allowed herself to, think very fast. She was also deeply tapped into a massive network of databases, records & sensor webs. She had noticed something was happening on Mandalore, but now all the various pieces clicked into place. If she was right, he would be the first in a large number of years. A number of plans & things she had in motion would have to be altered. On the other hand, he could also be a tremendous boon if properly inclined. She slowed herself back down to normal human thinking speeds before replying.
-Aya You are making a claim.
It was a statement of fact, not a question & her tone made it very clear. It was also obvious what the claim would be. Her head shifted for a moment to indicate the bag at his side. It was the correct size for a helm. If he had found it, he had succeeded where her own scouts had failed. Of course, Aya, like her buir before her, had no interest in taking on the mantle herself. It much more suited her to back someone with the right inclination.
-Aya The real question is what you seek. Blood? Glory? Riches? Or maybe something else...
She was testing him. If he was another Glory seeker like Ashrah, the vode would be better off it she put a blade through his skull right here & now. Of course, he could very easily lie. In truth only time would tell, but there were plenty of ways he could slip up & show his hand too early.

Nodding his head as he is correctly identified, Kebiin reaches into a pouch on his belt and produces a handful of cigarras to offer those nearby before responding.
"Gar serim. Kebiin Carid, Carid aliit'alor. I'm what you might call a regular, but it does seem to be quite the gathering today.

She was quite perceptive, he would give her that. Although, at this stage, it was not exactly like he was hiding the fact. He had done all the leg work that he could in preparation. Now that the Heads of each clan were gathering, he just had to hope that it had all been worth it. There was also an advantage with so many leaders around, in that he need not be too secretive. No one would risk some foul action against him. They would need to challenge him head on. He gave a simple nod in return to her remark and gesture towards his bag. As Kebiin confirmed his suspicion, he then declined the offered cigarra. His attention returning to Aya to respond to her question "What do I seek... I have had that question posed to me much this past week. Each aliit'alor wondered if I had the same intentions as you do now. And in a way, some of those things are right. But not for myself alone... Yes, I seek glory, but for the Mando'ade as a whole. We have fallen from where we once sat. Weakened by past leaders who foolishly rushed out to fight the aruetiise and unite them against us. Yes, I seek riches, so that we might afford to rebuild. Our resources have dwindled to the point that each Clan must struggle to serve its own needs. But do I seek blood? Only if it comes down to it... And if any Mando is paid for the blood they spill..." He took another drink of his Tihaar, letting a brief silence settle. Allowing both Leaders to absorb his words for a moment. His last remarks had a double intention. Both as a warning that he would not stay his hand should his vision come closer to passing, but as a promise that there would be battle for those that sought to seek work within the war "I plan to guide our people to rebuild what we lost. Give our people a direction that we have lacked. And prove myself worthy of the helm with my success... or lose it with my failures. Yes, I may be untested. But unlike my predecessors, leaving a trail of bodies will not prove I am capable of helping us rebuild. My claim is based on taking a leap of faith. And trusting that I can do this. Managing to be proclaimed Mand'alor? That will be a true test for what I plan to do... And if I fail, or do not prove myself worthy, than anyone else can challenge me for the Mask. Especially now that it has been recovered once more..." Each Clan was taking a gamble on him. But they really did have nothing to lose. Either he would prove himself in time, or they would find someone else to replace him. And if all else failed, they could just return to the way they were

Aya also declined the substance. While it wouldn't do anything to her, she did have to keep in mind that she was a role model to a lot of the Imperium. Focusing on the Potential's words, she made a few conclusions. On the plus side, she would not need to kill him right here & now. On the negative side, if she did have to kill him later, he would likely prove annoying.
-Aya Congratulations, I won't kill you as an insult to the title. As for what support you may or may not get from me ... well, we will see. Most Imperium colonies function like independent clans. And that includes all the D'Ordinii colonies. If you want my support, you need to start winning over them.

Kebiin shrugs and tucks the two declined cigarras back into his pouch before lighting and puffing on his own for a moment as he listens to the two speak.
To state it plainly, I like what you are saying. But that's because it is vague and agreeable, who could speak against unity and rebuilding? If you want the support of Carid, you do not need to worry about visiting colonies and winning over one population at a time. Tell me plans, not promises. Don't just say what you want, explain how you plan to get there. If it sounds feasible, I'll talk to my kin and we'll back you all the way.
He takes another few puffs on the cigarra.
So lets hear it.

Been a while since he set foot on Mandalore proper. Jobs took him far and wide 'cross the galaxy. A'den just need a refuel on gas and ti'haar before heading out into the black again. Everyone knew that the 'Baat was the best place for drinks in Keldabe. He popped the seals on his scuffed helmet and pulled it off as he entered, eyes scanning the bar. Galaar Fett, Aya D'Ordinii, Kebiin Carid; Aliit'alors, all of them. Another Mando he didn't recognize sat near, conversing with them. Talk was cheap. Ti'haar was not. A'den walked up to the bar and ordered a glass of the burning alcohol, sitting on a stool and enjoying the time not spent taking cover behind shoddy crates or tracking down quarry through harsh climates.

"Likewise Aliit'alor..." He tipped his head to Aya then, his hand motioning to his blades. He made no move to touch them though. Aside from his respect for the Oyu'baat as neutral ground, he found no reason to trigger the walking tank. But he had the answer he needed from the Aliit'alor of D'Ordinii. She might not outright oppose him, but she could attempt to delay him. He turned his attention to Kebiin then. At last Kebiin seemed amenable to putting Carid's support to him without any strings "Of course... Once the Clans are united behind me, we can examine just what resources are left over from the old Mandalorian Empire. Seize what we can find in storage within our borders and distribute it among the clans. By doing so, we can empower our vode and give them access to resources they did not have before... We may even look at opening new mines and giving access to them to other clans so that they might generate jobs and income of their own. With new resources, the Clans can rebuild their worlds and homes. We can build up the fleets and armies once more over time. Once we have strengthened ourselves, we can look at reclaiming worlds that were abandoned after the crusade failed.." Damocles took a moment of pause then, taking a drink of his Tihaar. The pause allowing Kebiin to process his plan thus far and for Damocles to take a breath. He placed his mug back down again "By sitting beyond the interests of each individual Aliit, I can more easily direct resources where they need to be... Provided everybody is willing to work together and assist others when asked to... It will not be an easy road, but if the Aliit'alor's work together with me, we will come out stronger..."

Kebiin nods and smiles slightly around his narcotic of choice before resting it on the corner of the table for a moment.
Sound's very straightforward: Regroup, rebuild, share and share alike. I'm sure there will be a few surprises in store, but for now it sounds very reasonable. Assuming your bid goes smoothly, and you gain the recognition you seek, what would you look for from Carid? We are a small aliit, more of an extended family. But if reformation is to take place, I am sure my folk will look to do their part.

Aya did not have much to add at that point. The issue of mines would have to be talked over in much greater detail later, as there were additional details that had to be taken into account. Without wider support from the governors of the various colonies, the amount of material that she could swing in support would be limited to her own, personal holdings. Extensive as that may be, it was a far cry from the wealth the Imperium could bring to bear. Though, to be fair, the vast majority of that wealth was constantly being plowed back into the Imperium to keep everything up & growing.

He was a little relieved to see that Kebiin was agreeable to the plan. Keeping it simple and to the point was the whole idea. Getting too caught up with details would throw everything off more easily. At least with his route, any of the surprises that were bound to appear would be more easy to adapt to "Life is full of surprises ner'vod. This is just one of many that I expect to encounter... As for what I expect of Carid? Only to do what ever they can. If they can farm, then farm. If they can fight, then fight. Each part contributes to the greater whole..." Damocles looked around the room then, taking note of the various leaders that had arrived. Almost everyone was here. He had only to wait for Ka'ra and Torin to arrive now. Once they showed up, then he could get this all going and make it official "I have taken up enough of your time for now. Until later..." He gave a nod then, before collecting his helm, backpack and mug of Tihaar. Damocles then made his way over to the booth where Escalus, Longinus, and Ascalon were seated. He had sent out word a day or two ago to the various Leaders, to bring them all to the Baat. Now they just had to wait

*A meeting of the clans... and of her peers. The youngest aliit'alor, in the presence of the older, wiser, more experienced variety. She was admittedly intimidated by the thought, but she was determined not to let it show. Indeed, she had trouble physically expressing any emotion outwardly for some time now. Even if she hadn't, her buy'ce could have concealed that... but she never liked wearing it, and she did not intend on hiding behind a mask.
She entered the Oyu'baat, the once-mythical establishment that she had seen as the promised land in her young mind, as she had spent all of her life on Ordo alone. Now, it was simply a duty... and a source of good tihaar. That element would never be ignored. She scanned the crowd, but to her surprise, Damocles was isolated with a small group in a side booth. Another she recognized as an Ordo, but even if the other two were clan leaders, this certainly wasn't the grand meeting they would come to expect.*
"Su'cuy," *she greeted as she approached, dragging an unoccupied chair with her and seating upon it.* "Anything important happen?"

Damocles watched as Ka'ra entered the Baat. It was a little strange seeing her amongst the other clan leaders. There was quite an age and size difference. But it did not make her any less of a leader. He and Escalus gave a bow of their heads then to their Aliit'alor as she drew a seat over. Now they were just waiting on Torin to arrive now. Damocles looked to Escalus briefly before turning his attention back to Ka'ra "Su'cuy... And not a lot. I finished my journey to the other Clans. Just waiting for the last of the leaders to appear... Hopefully the supplies from Clan Bralor will arrive to Ordo soon... oh, and allow me to introduce Longinus Fett and Ascalon Bralor. They are here for the same reason as Escalus, to act as their clans eyes and ears..." Damocles pointed to the pair with him, with each bowing their head in greeting

Galaar Fett, who had sat idle while Damocles conversed with others, sets down his third glass of Tihaar. His eyes caught the sight of other leaders that started coming in. Seemed like an Assembly was imminent, which made the Fett wonder if Damocles had been successful in his ventures to unite the clans behind his claim to the title of Mandalore. Having caught the eye of Longinus, Galaar observes passively as the younger Fett approaches him. His gaze stopped upon the Aliit'ator of Ordo, Ka'ra, and Damocles as Longinus approached.
So... what do you think of this Damocles, Longinus?
He has youthful energy and a passion to see the Mandalorian people once more united and strong.
Galaar reaches behind him, picking up the glass of Tihaar that remained and downed it in one gulp. Youth would be in Damocles's advantage, energy that was needed to be Mandalore and keep the clans united. Before, it was martial candidates that kept the Mandalorian Empire strong. Now they had a young man, who had fervor and determination to see the Mandalorians once more unified. Time would tell if Damocles was a warrior though, but at this point, Galaar knew that his fellow clans wanted someone to help rebuild, not seek wars that were impossible at their current state.
So, should the Fetts support the youthful claimant?
If I were in a position to do so, I would. But I am not the Aliit'ator. Whatever decision you make, we shall follow.
Galaar waves his hand, dismissing Longinus after the report was made. Indeed, the Fetts were the first to be visited by Damocles and they needed to keep that first status if Galaar was to support the young Mandalorian. To support him was no skin off his bones, but to not support him could lead to trouble. Trouble the Fett clan could not risk at this stage. As he swirls his drink, absentmindedly, the prospect of supporting Damocles seemed all the more fruitful and beneficial.

Entering the Oyu'baat on the day appointed by Damocles as that upon which he would gather the heads of the clans of the Mando'ade, Torin Bralor has a clear sense of déja vu; something he has found, at sixty five years of age, happens more frequently now than it had in his youth. When last he had been here in the Oyu'baat, Torin recalls, many of the same faces were present, though he can see a few faces now that were not present then, and it seems to him that the very same air of commingled hope and skepticism - hope that this gathering would herald a change for the better for the Mando'ade, tempered naturally by the skepticism invited all too understandably by the fact that many similar recent meetings of the clan leaders had been filled with sound and fury that ultimately resulted in nothing at all - hangs in the air as all await the beginning of what they have all come here in hopes of beginning: the dawning of a new era for the Mando'ade.
Removing his buy'ce, Torian tucks it beneath his left arm as he approaches the bar, and after ordering a mug of ne'tra gal, walks to the stand near the cantina's fire to await the arrival of the other clan leaders so that Damocles can make his claim before them all.
