And there was Torin. The last of the Aliit'alor to arrive. The Baat was almost filled with clan members and leaders, all waiting. Many he recognized from his travels, many he did not. No doubt they were leaders of smaller clans that had come at the behest of a larger clan that he had met with. But how and why they had come here was of little importance, compared to the reason they had gathered for. The last time they had met, they had unsuccessfully tried to choose a new Mand'alor. But today would be different. Damocles had a clear purpose and any that tried delay or block him would be damned. He rose from his seat then, reaching into his backpack and withdrawing the Mask of Mandalore "Excuse me a moment..." He gave a short bow of his head to Ka'ra, before taking his leave of the table. He marched across the Baat to a place that everyone could get a view of him from. Heads turned to watch him, with some noticing the Mask and whispering to their neighbors. Others watching because he walked with a purpose. He came to a stop and turned back to the crowd "Ner'vode! The search is over!" He pulled the Mask out and held it for all to see, making sure every last one of them took notice. He was painting a giant red target on his back, and he'd be damned if it did not go unnoticed. He set the Mask down upon a small nearby table then, allowing it to remain within sight "What was once lost to us, has been found once more. The Mask of Mandalore! Many of you have already known of its recovery... I travelled to many of your homes. Speaking with you. Telling you of the vision Kad Ha'rangir gave to me, of the plan that I intend to inact to bring us together and make us strong. And now is the moment that the quest ends. I stand before you, and make my claim to this Mask and to the leadership of the Mando'ade! I call on all of you now! Make your voices and support heard, and let any who seek to oppose me do so now!" He searched the room then, looking to those whom he knew would support him, to those whom he was unsure of. Before finally setting his gaze upon Aya. Of all those within the Baat, she was the one he expected any resistance from. Although, it was entirely possible she would use one of the other clans to try disrupt him. But he was confident she would fail. He had the numbers and once it was made official, he would only gain support as he went forward

*Ka'ra had merely inclined her head in greeting to the vode Damocles had introduced her to, but otherwise opted to remain introspective. Today was an important day and she needed to act accordingly. The temptation of tihaar was strong, but she convinced herself she could celebrate after all was said and done... or perhaps for reason other than celebration.
Then Damocles took the floor; it seemed all that were needed were present. He then spoke of his claim, and once more of his vision. It was not the most flowery or eloquent of speeches, but perhaps that was indicative of this man as a leader: One who does not speak, but does. Ka'ra hesitated to speak up, worried that such a gesture could possibly be seen as bias from aliit'alor Ordo. And yet, if Damocles' own aliit did not stand behind him, what message would that send about the clan?
Making up her mind, Ka'ra stood, fearlessly and boldly proclaiming,* "Aliit Ordo stands behind you. Oya!" *She cared not what the others thought. This was a pivotal moment, and if it was momentum Damocles needed, then she would do her damnedest to ensure it was given. Despite her age, despite whatever "status" she was perceived to have... This was her determination, to not see the Mando'ade fall to complacency.*

Torin, after listening to Damocles officially state his intention to assume the role of Mand'alor, is mildly surprised that Ka'ra is the first to back it; though his only experience with the youthful leader of Clan Ordo was the most recent gathering of the Clan leaders, she had struck him as more inclined to caution than not, one to listen and test the prevailing winds before making her own thoughts clear. That Damocles' own aliit supports his claim, believes in it strongly enough for Ka'ra to be the first to voice her belief in the ability of Damocles to assume the role of Mand'alor, is an auspicious beginning to what may prove to be the new dawn for the Mando'ade that Torin and others present here today have long hoped for.
Moving from the fire to stand nearer Ka'ra, Torin adds his support to hers, saying in Mando'a, his voice strong and certain, "Aliit Bralor stands with you as well. Oya!"

Kid still had it in him it seems, thought Galaar as he heard the words of Damocles Ordo. Kad Ha'rangir had a strange way of working, weaving the fates of his children to support, quite possibly, the youngest claimant to the title of Mandalore. He remembered a time when Cassus was still Mandalore, back when the Fett was but a distant cousin and a young hunter. Times changed with each Mandalore, but they did not always remain high and above. The Mandalorians hit rock bottom with Ashrah, resulting in the clans going their separate ways.
Damocles had determination and charisma, something the Mandalorian people needed to be reunited once more. He did not rally for war, but for unity, for prosperity, for a better future. The clans needed this more than ever and Galaar knew that. They were tired of wars, they needed to rebuild, to reorganize and to become stronger at home than seeking an expansionist policy.
Without hesitation, and shortly after Ka'ra spoke, Galaar rises from his spot at the bar, walking into view for the other clan leaders to see. He stands beside Torin and Ka'ra as one of the Aliit'ators present. He says thus, in a loud voice.
Aliit Fett stands behind you, Damocles! Oya!

Aya also stood. She would not be a blind follower & she had a piece to say before everyone started congratulating themselves.
-Aya Aliit D'Ordinii does not stand with you. You may have visited many, but my house was not one of those. Nor were any of the houses that stand with mine. Had I not been here on other business I would not be standing here at all. Mando'ad draar digu. Prove yourself manda. Then we will see.
She understood that her seat was until recently on Etti IV, which was a fair distance. Then it had moved even further away to Lehon. But there were colonies right here on Mandalore & many more in the sector. That not a single one was visited by the claimant looked very much like a deliberate insult. Especially with the large range of turn out of other Aliit'alors gathered today.

While Damocles finally declared his intentions publicly, Kebiin turned his attention back to his cigarra and mused to himself that he had been correct in his belief that something interesting was always happened at this watering hole. As the various clan heads stated their positions, Kebiin took one last drag and ground the butt of the cigarra into the sole of his boot and placed a stack of credits on the bar. While Aya made her position quite clear he replaced his own buyca and made his way out of the 'baat. It seemed it was time to call a family meeting.

Damocles had not been sure who would speak first. But it gave him a sense of confidence when Ka'ra declared Ordo's support first. Torin soon followed with Bralor's support. Then came Galaar with Fett. With them, came the support of a number of the smaller clans as well. It was then that Aya rose to her feet and declared that Clan D'Ordinii did not stand with him. He had expected as much from her. Any reason to maintain her power and position would do for her. The fight would continue. He had visited many Clans in the past week, that not one of the smaller one's was not in some way associated or allied with D'Ordinii was hard to believe. He then watched as Kebiin left the Baat.
Even without their support right now, Damocles had the majority he needed. But Kebiin had indicated that Carid would likely support him when they had talked. Aya would just need a little more convincing. In the end, D'Ordinii would either stand alone or join the rest and prosper together as Mandalorian should. He waved his hand to silence the others, as he turned his full attention upon Aya "I assure you Aliit'alor Aya, nor will I digur. But it is your prerogative as to how your Clan stands. If you wish to stand alone, then that is your choice. But know that I have no intention of not continuing to prove myself to those I visited and those I was unable to. And trust me when I say this, such an oversight was not intentional..." He turned back to the other leaders, lifting the Mask and holding it above his head "With your support, I name myself Mand'alore the Architect! Oya!! Now let us begin our work!"

She nods to acknowledge his statement that the slight was not intended. Still, there would be much work to be done in the years ahead. It was clear that he was the Mand'alor, if only because of wide spread support. But that didn't mean that everyone would fawn over him or his plans. That wasn't quite how it worked. On the other hand, he might have some good ideas that would bring the other clans more in line with the Imperium's economic doctrine.

The Ordo spoke flowery words for a Mando. He downed the rest of the tihaar and picked up his buy'ce. He'd heard enough.
"Kaysh guur' miite," he muttered to himself. Best to have a conversation with the rest of the family. He hadn't seen his Aliit'alor show up. A'den growled. That meant trouble.

Damocles lowered the Mask then and tucked it beneath his arm as the Togorian by the bar took his leave. He watched Aya for a moment longer, before concluding that she would give into the will of her fellow Clan leaders with regards to his appointment. Now he just needed to begin the implementation of his plans. He turned to look at all of the gathered Aliit'alors, looking from one to another "We are all Mando'ade. Vod for life. And gathered here are those who have proven themselves to their aliit. This is something I will always respect. I may hold the Helm, but it is each of you that hold the real power. You make the decisions for your clans and they act upon the decisions you make. Just as I will trust and rely upon your wisdom when I make decisions... Speaking of decisions, as one of my first acts, I am reinstituting the ori'ramikad codex. Or at least enough of it to allow our people to remain unconcerned with the wars of the aruetiise, whilst still allowing those who wish to hire out their services to do so. Do so with honor! With that out of the way, I only ask that each of you contribute what you can and do so as equally as possible. I have said my piece for now, but if any of you wish to speak with me further, you can find me over in the corner..." Damocles made his way across the Oyu'baat back to the booth he was sitting in. Those seated there gave him a pat on his back, congratulating him on his success. First they would need to find what resources the old ME had stashed away, and log what resources each clan had and could provide. He would also need to make a visit to MandalMotors and discuss the issue of the Mines

Damocles made his way across the Oyu'baat back to the booth he was sitting in. Those seated there gave him a pat on his back, congratulating him on his success. Kaine Australis, still with some of the sands of Tatooine stuck to his boots, shouldered his way into the Oyu'baat's packed taproom. He arrived just in time to see a Mando'ad he didn't recognize tucking the Kyr'bes under an arm and sitting down in a booth.Kad, he thought, I have been gone a long time. I'm an old forgotten relic, and the kids have grown up. Ah well, there's nothing for it, time to dive back in.He made his way through the teeming crowd of boisterous and rowdy pubgoers, making his way towards the man with the Kyr'bes. Some recognized his size and made ample room for him, though judging by the conspiratorial turns of buy'ce here and there, he suspected he was far from incognito in here; and why would he be? Kaine was a former Mand'alor in a bygone era, and it wasn't possible everyone from those days could be dead. Like him, some old Mandos didn't fade away with age. Finally, the black and green armoured aliit alor of Clan Australis reached the table where Damocles had sat. Kaine looked down at the man for several moments, then removed his buy'ce and hooked it to his belt, looking on the man with his own eyes, and letting him get a good close look at his aged face, still very recognizable despite the scars he'd acquired along the way.Su'cuy Mand'alor.

Damocles watched as the at first unknown stranger made his way into the Baat and towards the booth. But as the man drew closer, He was able to distinguish the mans clan to be Australis. He gave a bow of his head as Kaine came to a stop and removed his helmet. He had heard stories of the old Mand'alors, and it was hard to mistake the face of a past leader. He motioned for the Aliit'alor to take a seat at the table "Su'cuy ner'vod, how might I help the Aliit'alor of Australis?"

After Damocles had spoken with Kaine Australis and others, Galaar Fett managed to move from the bar to speak with the Mandalore. As he approached, he could feel the air within the Oyu'baat changing almost instantly. At last, the Mandalorian people had a leader and the clans were uniting once more. It had been many years since such a union had happened. The healing of the clans and rebuilding of a greater nation was on the very verge of existence. Now to see where it would take them, after all, the Mandalorians were between two great nations that were embroiled deeply in war. It would take skillful diplomacy to stay out of it, something the Mandalorians were not good at.
He approaches Damocles, punching the Ordo good in the shoulder with a grin on his scarred face.
Never thought I would have the chance to say Su'cuy Mandalore! in my life time.
Damocles was still a kid among the other Aliit'ators, but at least he was a youngster with a head on his shoulders, a determination to see his vision for the clans be reality and charisma. Something the Mandalorian people desperately needed in their leader.
Listen, I might as well tell you. I am in the progress of rebuilding the Journeyman Protectors on Concord Dawn. The bravest and brightest of those recruits will go towards re-establishing the Mandalorian Protectors. We are gonna need both of them if we are to police our territories well and make others think twice about touching our planets. I am thinking of making runs to the other clans, seeing if they can contribute manpower to the Mandalorian Protectors.
He looks Damocles dead in the eye.
I know that this is what you want too. But its best to let you know, Mandalore, that Concord Dawn will contribute in her traditional role as headquarters for the Journeyman Protectors and the Mandalorian Protectors. We are gonna make the clans thrive again and be strong as they once were.

Kaine took the offered seat in the booth, and snaffled a bottle of tihaar from a passing waitress as the Fett aliit alor approached and spoke with the Mand'alor.
Kaine noted this new Fett seemed less shebs-kovid than other Fetts he'd known in the past. That could only be a good thing, often the Fetts seemed like their own species. When he'd been Mand'alor, Kaine had never known which way the Fetts were going to jump, or when they were going to do it. It had frustrated him immensely. It seemed the Clan had moved on from that. Good, for them and for Mandalore as a whole, to have Clan Fett in the fold.
He poured himself a glass while he listened to the Fett'alor outline his plans.
It sounded to him like the Fetts were going to be Mandalore's policemen. That suited Kaine, the sector could do with some official security, properly organized, and he liked the idea of all Clans being able to contribute. Stopped it from being Fett's responsibility alone. Smart and sensible, Kaine approved.
Fett could be the policeman, Australis would be the firemen. The ones you called when the osik hit the fan.
Kaine let the Fett man finish, then raised his glass in salute. Oya, Manda. Well said.
You can count on Australis' support. Kaine gave the Fett a nod, then looked to the Mand'alor.
We don't need much, to be honest. Could do with a steady supply of beskar, and the right to produce arms here on Mandalore again. It's not essential, but it would help streamline the acquisition and training process. If we can restart MandalArms, we'll be able to supply arms and munitions as well as support, as needed, for all the vode. Working with MandalMotors has worked well in the past. Anything we can't build or design ourselves, we'll licence, buy or steal.
As for current strength, I've got the beginnings of a fleet, and plan on expanding our force beyond anything we've fielded in the past. We're at about 30% readiness. A lot of training and equipping to be done. Recruiting continues, but it looks like we'll have no trouble meeting our target. Upwards of one hundred thousand mando'ade sworn to the Clan to date from over three dozen worlds. An eclectic bunch, as always, but we make that another strength.
Australis's soldiers, weapons, and support are at Mandalore's command. Kaine set his glass down.

Damocles was preoccupied with Kaine, so he didn't see Galaar coming. But he certainly felt the Aliit'alor as the man punched him in the shoulder. There was becoming something of a greeting for them. He smiled as he turned to face Galaar, certain Kaine would understand "Nor did I ever expect to be addressed as such. But here we both are Aliit'alor, both experiencing something we never thought would happen in our own life times..." He listened then as Galaar explained his plan to restart both the Mandalorian Protectors and the Journeyman Protectors. He had suspected that was likely what Galaar had been in the process of doing when Damocles had visited Concord Dawn. At the very least, it meant Clan Fett was already well ahead on training and producing Journeyman Protectors. It would not take them much longer till they could restart the Protectors as a whole. It made sense that Concord Dawn would serve as the base of operations as it would help keeps things relatively spread out. Kaine was already volunteering Clan Australis' support to the Mandalorian Protectors "It appears as though you've already got your first pledge of support Galaar. It will be good to have the Protectors back up and running vod. Especially with the aruetiise so close by... Rest assured I have no issue with Concord Dawn serving as their base. Aliit Fett is starting them, so it only makes sense they would house and lead the command. It is a step forward in the right direction, and if you need anything from me, then do not hesitate to ask. I will do what I can to ensure this venture succeeds..." He turned back to Kaine, as he gave a break down of his clan's situation. It was a familiar story to him by this stage. Their forces were not at full strength and they were in the process of rebuilding. But at the very least, they knew exactly what they would need to make it happen. For the most part, his requests were things he could easily grant without having to take stock of what was around "Consider MandalArms reopened under your leadership, Kaine. I trust Australis will take to this task well enough... As for the Beskar, to my knowledge such a thing would require you to meet with Clan D'Ordinii for the time being. But perhaps once I deal with MandalMotors in the coming days, we can sort out a deal between the two companies... For now, keep up the training and rebuilding. I imagine having MandalArms reopen will greatly benefit the other Clans as well..."

Kaine took one final swig from the bottle, then stood up.
He'd gotten a look at the new Mand'alor, pledged his support, and recieved the go-ahead for his plans. It was time to get to work, and let the Mand'alor get on with his. Everyone's plate was going to be full for a good long while.
Kandosii. If you need me, just call. Kaine unclipped the buy'ce from his belt and parked it over his head. Good hunting, gentlemen.
He inclined his head to Damocles and to Galaar, and made his exit from the booth, and, steering clear of the bar and its' inherent distractions, headed for the door.
The tihaar would have to wait for another day. He had an armaments industry to revive, a shipyard to build, and a new home to build. Clan Australis was going to be all kinds of busy. It seemed all of Mandalore was going in the same direction. Kaine was loving it.

He already had a plan in mind, yet it would take some time before the fruition of his goal was able to be realized. It would take quite a bit of traveling, considering his plan, but Galaar felt it would be necessary. After some thought, he turns to the Mandalore.I plan to go to the various clans, see if they can supply some warriors as foundations for the Mandalorian Protectors. Make this a clan-wide effort, not just a Fett effort. At least with the contributions from every clan, each clan be proud that their warriors will be making a difference for all of our planets and the security of all Mandalorians.

Damocles gave a nod to Kaine as the Aliit'alor took his leave of the meeting to get to work "Ret'urcye mhi..." His attention returned to Galaar. It was nice to see that some of the Clans were willing and ready to work together and cooperate. Already things were looking like they were taking a step in the right direction "Agreed. It is a good incentive to contribute. Plus, it would free each Clan's time up to deal with other issues that the Assembly has to worry about... I am certain we can rely on Clan Fett to lead the charge... Was there anything else I might help you with?"

*Despite the support of many of the clans, it seemed acceptance of a new Mand'alor was not to go completely smoothly; to be honest, Ka'ra hadn't expected anything less. But there was no challenge to the claim, merely a challenge that Damocles prove himself. A sentiment Ka'ra understood and initially felt as well, so she did not begrudge Or'dinii for such feelings.
Nevertheless, without a direct challenge, so it was that every single vod present witnessed the ascension of a new Mand'alor right before their very eyes... one who already decreed the return of a certain codex... But Ka'ra was not one to celebrate, as she earlier thought might be the case. She of course treated herself to the finest tihaar the 'Baat had to offer, but she merely sat in silence, observing, not engaging in conversation.
Eventually, when she'd had her fill, she stood, announcing,* "Ret'urcye mhi, Mand'alor, but I must return to my people now, give them the news. As always, you are welcome on Ordo." *And without another word, she departed the bar, headed for her ship, and returned to the skies.*

Having put his chestplate on, and carefully stowing his prized bike, the twosome strode into the building, weapons close by in case of a fight. As he sat down at the bar and ordered his typical bottle of whiskey, sat down to enjoy it. He drank for the next 10 minutes before he finally spoke. Well, what now? I understand sitting here and drinking, but we need to find someone to work for.He thought for a moment before speaking, as he was a man who didn't enjoy wasting words, unless they were spoken to a lover in his embrace in the middle of the night...No. Not that. Not now. Maybe later. Banishing such innapropriate thoughts from his mind, Jesse then spoke.I've heard from a few of my, erm... less savory associates. I mean, they're good in a pinch, but I don't trust them completely. Anyway, they said that a bunch of these old warring houses, or clans, or whatever the hell you guys call em'. Well, they're trying to form a centralized government. Well, in such an organized system, I reckon that there's somebody who has an axe to grind with some other fellow. Or maybe they just wanna move up the chain of command. In any case, during the flight, I remember you telling me 'bout some 'stupid as hell, no good , rankweed suckers' that tried to set up some pacifist government. These fellers, you said that they were from Kalevala, or somethin' like that. Anyway, your family opposed them, and so y'all were exiled to some moon called Concordia. Well, I reckon there ought to be someone out in that direction that could use an extra gun or two by their side. I mean, at any rate I can see where you guys lived, what y'all did, you know. That sort of thing. But, first let me finish my whiskey.
