==Mand'alor's Paperwork Woes== <<109PP; O7 Sector, Mandalore, Keldade, Oyu'baat, Mand'alor's Office>> The officer had no idea when the new mand'alor was was going to stop by what was effectively the traditional office. There was a growing pile of things that needed more authority than he technically had. Of course, the rest of the office was kept busy handling the routine paperwork & issues that came up around any head of state. The vast majority of it was fairly simple & almost automated. The general staff at the office down the street that had been set up for the task wasn't just D'Ordinii members, as a number of locals had also been hired at various spots opened up or other members transferred out of the position. Dukit, however, liked the job & planned to stay as long as he could. From the looks of it, his Alore was going to continue supplying the paychecks for the office, despite the fact she wasn't the mand'alor anymore. There had been a small party in the office when the first paycheck after she had stepped down had been issued.It was better to be safe, he decided as he sent the new Mand'alor a text message informing him of state duties that needed attention. If the New Mand'alor chose to ignore it? Well, the office would continue handling the mundane tasks as well as possible & hope that someone else with more authority would step in & deal with the issues. *Dral enters the Oyu'baat and heads for the door leading to his new office. He found the man who had sent him the message and took a seat across from Dukit, removing his buy'ce as he sat down and placing it on the table beside him.*"Su'cuy ner vod. Ni ceta taylir parer. Care for a drink? Skraan? The office is after all inside the Oyu'baat. I'll buy."*Dral observed Dukit and searched him out using the force to attempt to sense what kind of man he was.*

==Mand'alor's Paperwork Woes== <<109PP; O7 Sector, Mandalore, Keldade, Oyu'baat, Mand'alor's Office>>
Dukit was, to put it simply, boring. He was one of those people that could (& did) find enjoyment in a neatly organized stack of datacards. He had about as much adventure in his soul as a bowl of steamed & mashed cauliflower. And about that much force sensitivity as well. He was also as smart as a whip & increadibly dedicated to his work (regardless of what his current work actually was).
He debated for a minute on whether to take the offered drink. On one hand, he was on duty. On the other, it was his boss offering it. He was just about to refuse, but then changed his mind. Aya had never offered. She had been unfailingly polite & ruthlessly focused on her work. But she never quiet managed to move beyond formally polite into the realm of actually friendly.
-Dukit Yes please. Thank you. A Whiskey if you will.
He wasn't sure at this point if he should bring up the reason for the call, or if he should let the new boss get around to it on his own. If it had been Aya they would already be neck deep in it. Productive, if a touch cold. With the new boss however, Dukit wasn't exactly sure where he stood. At least not yet.

At least not yet. *Sensing a dedicated, intelligent worker, and no sign of deceit, Dral decided he liked this man. It would be wise to maintain someone of such high caliber who is already well versed in the mechanics of the Mand'alor's office and what needed to be done.**Dral pulled out his comlink and keyed in the code for one of his men he had seen in the Oyu'baat as Dral had made his way to the back office.* "Atin, bring a Whiskey, a Mead, and a plate of appetizers to the Mand'alor's office please." *After receiving an affirmative from Atin, he keyed off the comlink and replaced it in a belt pouch. Dral then turned to Dukit.* "I find business far more pleasant in a slightly relaxed atmosphere. Make no mistake, I'll tolerate no slovenly appearance or behavior from anyone I am working with, but it does no good for minds to be distracted by lack of drink or food. Besides, I get the impression that I won't have to worry about such concerns with you. You seem to be a very reliable individual. Also, I imagine we have quite alot to talk about, and it wouldn't do for either us to get dried throats due to so much talking. You appear to be the lead man here in this office, and the first order of business is already handled. Which is to say you already have my personal Comlink Code and know that you may use that to contact me any time you need to."
*Atin entered with the drinks and food. Dral sensed his surprise at seeing his Aliit'alor in the Mand'alor's chair, though Atin did not reveal it in his expression. Dral Addressed Atin as he took the Mead and indicated Atin would give the whiskey to Dukit* "Thank you Atin. Please notify my wife that I have been elected by the Assembly to the station of Mand'alor. I'll give her all the details when I next return to the Bastion. I will be here at the office for a while, I think. Ensure that the Aliit will bring their concerns to her for the time being. As of now, she is in-effect a co-aliit'alor. Also, if you could have a synopsis of how the remainder of the work at the bastion is progressing collected until I'm able to take a look at it I would appreciate that." *Atin indicated that he would carry out Dral's wishes and then left. Dral returned his attention to Dukit.* "He is rather laconic, but he's a good man, I like him. Now then, where was I? Yes. Orders of business. I'm sure we'll figure out how to effectively work together over the next few days and weeks, but I would like to start that relationship out by telling you that I'm sure I will find your experience as an aide to the previous Mand'alor to be invaluable to me. So if there is anything you need in order to make your work easier, please let me know. Also, do not hesitate to let me know, in private if possible, if I have made a blunder. You may correct me immediately if I have done something that needs to be fixed immediately, but I trust your sense of propriety to determine which is the case and inform me in a timely and acceptable manner of such things." *Dral chuckled softly* "I had not intended to come in here and make a speech. I'm not good at them, and I feel like they usually only contain that which people either already know or already agree with. So I'll stop there. Please, appraise me of all that you think I need to know."

==Mand'alor's Paperwork Woes== <<109PP; O7 Sector, Mandalore, Keldade, Oyu'baat, Mand'alor's Office>>
Dukit took the newly arrived glass of whiskey & took a sip. He let the man wander his way through the entire path before chipping in. One thing for certain, he was certainly more vocal than Aya ever showed inclination of being.
-Dukit Yes sir. The basics first then I think. The majority of your staff operates out of a small office down the street. Alor Aya felt that there was not enough room in the current office to support a full time staff.
He used her current title, instead of the one she had held when she made the decision. Though given the small & cramped nature of the room they found themselves in, it probably wouldn't be disputed as a logical choice.
-Dukit I have a full list of the staff, including personnel dockets if you care to review them. Or if you care to review the office. Functionally, we operate more as a secondary staff, not as high level diplomatic aides. Our clan has a dedicated branch to that already, & they had been previously used for such functions. I suppose we could be expanded to meet such a requirement, but we aren't suited for it at present.
He took a moment to take another sip of the whiskey. If there was one thing that Lehon lacked proper access to, it was this.
-Dukit To that end, we mostly deal with the day to day mail & paperwork the office gathers. To prevent it from building up, & to make sure major items don't get lost in the shuffle. I have a listing of the major projects currently in need of attention, if you have the time for it. As well as the more minor issues that can mostly be ignored, but might benefit from a personal touch. Depending on your own preferences.

==Mand'alor's Paperwork Woes== <<109PP; O7 Sector, Mandalore, Keldade, Oyu'baat, Mand'alor's Office>>
-Dukit Of course sir. First on the docket is the currency issue. Most of the issues have already been agreed to. Nova crystals as the base material will ensure a competitive rate galaxy wide, regardless of our own nation economic strength. Various denominations can be handled in grade purity. to ensure a roughly standard size for the physical issue. Clan Itera has agreed to host the mint & is fully established by the last report. The only remaining issue is what to place as the imagery on the physical issue. A number of groups & committees have failed to find a common compromise on this issue, so it has been bumped back to my office. Technically, this is only a request for advice, but I feel certain that any input you have will likely swing the vote in favor. Some of the more popular suggestions to date have been various types of skulls, as well as planets of note & even the profile or likeness of past Mand'alore.
He swipes to the next page.
-Dukit There is also the issue of the exact structure & command functions of the new joint military. As well as hardware & support questions. I'm afraid I don't have too many details about that, beyond that it is currently being handled by either Alor Vhett, or by a staff appointed by him.
Yet another virtual page is pulled aside.
-Dukit There have been some rumors about a 'lost clan' operating somewhere in First Order space, but as of yet they are just persistent rumors. Though disturbing ones from the reports.
Dukit takes a moment to glance up at his new boss.
-Dukit The issue of the new Mandalorian force order is also one that has raised a lot of public interest. Both for & against. Many are wondering exactly how it will function within the greater Assembly, & in conjunction with the word of a new joint military.
Dukit flips to what looks like the final page of the 'serious issues' document.
-Dukit Lastly, there are a number of more minor issues. Clan Ordinii is pushing to spread more technological improvements & systems to the various clans. There are strange rumors & worries coming from our eastern borders about a new faction based out of Mon Cala. The standard mix of both worry & support (from various clans) about the First Order on our western borders. An increase in pirate raids on our northern borders. & it would now seem possible diplomatic actions with the major clans in order to set up a more formal diplomatic branch for the Assembly as a whole.

Dral nodded and listened to Dukit as he laid out all the points and waited for him to finish before he began addressing them.
He had met the leader of Clan Itera shortly before the Assembly had called them all together, and had had a discussion with his sons about the Mint. Mandalorian Skulls he remembered the currency had been called. "I think one side of the coin should surely have some form of skull on it, due to its name. Perhaps a different skull to go along with each of the different denominations of the coins? As for the flip side of the coin, I should think something very distinctly Mandalorian. A Bes'uliik perhaps, or a generic Buy'ce." *Knowing that what he said, although it would be given due consideration, was merely advice, and since the Assembly would make their own minds up regarding the final decision. Dral simply suggested what he himself would have put on them if he were the one making the decision.*The second point was also familiar to Dral. Alor Vhett had just received the approval of the Assembly shortly before Dral had been chosen as the new Mand'alor. "Indeed. Alor Vhett is in charge of that. He just received approval from the Assembly today. Each clan will send volunteers to him for specific training and unit assignments. Although I will be happy to lend my assistance or support wherever he requests it, it is in fact his project, and I will leave it to him unless asked for assistance in specific matters."Dral raised his eyebrows when he began to discuss the third point."Do the rumors mention a name for this Lost Clan? Are they taking actions that would bring trouble for the rest of the Mando'ade? I would like more information on this subject. Whatever you can find out."The subject of the New Mandalorian Knights had spread fast indeed."Yes. That is something of a personal pet project of mine. With the fall of the Mandalorian Empire, and along with it the end of the Anti-Force Crusades and the more accepting view of force users in the ranks of the Mando'ade, my clan decided to leave our hidden retreat and return to our home here on Mandalore. Since that time, I thought of the ancient Legend of the Mandalorian Knights, a group of Jetiise who believed that we of all the cultures in the Galaxy, would be best suited to rule it. While I have no personal ambition of Galactic domination, nor do I believe the Mando'ade should aspire to such folly, the Mandalorian Knights sparked an idea in me. We mandalorians have our own force users. Why shouldn't we train our verde in the use of it if they have the talent for it? My concept for the New Mandalorian Knights Is that they will be drawn from each of the clans and into the MDC as they feel comfortable to reveal themselves to the Mandalorians around them. This group of force sensitive Mandalorians will then be placed within the ranks of the MDC as Alor Vhett sees fit, since it is his project. However, I imagine he will probably use them in a variety of ways, medics, forward observers, auxiliaries to the shock troops, the possibilities are as numerous as whatever force powers they are able to master. I will speak to Alor Vhett about this and see what he has planned for them." As for the last several points, I will attempt to address them relatively succintly, although I'm sure that more work will need to be done on them in the future. I look forward to seeing what kinds of advancements are made technologically by Aliit Ordinii, and support their spread to those aliite who wish to accept them. If you could have a report made up on the new faction out of Mon Cala, I would be happy to peruse it and bring it to the attention of the Assembly to decide what stance they wish to take regarding them. As for the borders, I believe the Assembly supports the idea of increasing our border security, so I will find out who is responsible for patrols and inform them of the special attention needed in those directions, and ensure they are sending reports to the Aliit'alore. As for the Diplomatic branch, that is of course, subject to the approval of the Assembly, however, I think they may like the idea since it will allow for negotiations and such without requiring the direct attention of the Aliit'alore themselves.

==Mand'alor's Paperwork Woes== <<109PP; O7 Sector, Mandalore, Keldade, Oyu'baat, Mand'alor's Office>>
Dukit made notes as Dral spoke, sending them off to various parties as soon as they were done. Given that the Assembly meetings were often broadcast on the holonet, it wasn't too odd that a government office was already scrambling to get on top of various issues mentioned there. In response to the question about the lost clan's name, Dukit took a moment to check his notes.
-Dukit There is persistent referral to them as "the claw". Though my sources were unsure if that was a clan name, the title of an individual, or some form of nickname.
Dukit listens to the new info on the Force order. His own clan was far more understanding of force abilities. & the history of such abilities within mandalorian society.
-Dukit There is an older force tradition in our history. The Shadow Priests. Sometimes also called the Warriors of Shadow, or the Sisters of Shadow. Were an ancient order from the days our people lived on Notron. Before the battles with the Zhell pushed us from that world. Records of them are scant, but strongly indicate they were a powerful force order. There are also some records that indicated they were instrumental in helping to found the Sorcerers of Rhand. Though I forget what sources that information comes from so it may just be conjuncture.
The last several notes were typed up & sent off.
-Dukit That would seem to handle all the major issues. Leaving only the more day to day general requests for your time.

Dral was fast becoming very satisfied with Dukit's work. The man was very efficient and knowledgeable.
"Lets make sure that whatever Intel we have keeps an eye on them for the time being"
Being a force using Mandalorian, Dral had been educated when he was younger by his father about the history of the force and its use by many different groups and factions throughout history. Dral's father had paid special attention to even the legends and stories related to force use among Mandalorians. Dral was familiar with the legends Dukit was referring to, but was not sure where they came from either. He did remember the lesson his father had taught him about that era of their history, a lesson his father had shown him could be learned almost every time a large group of force sensitives started using their power throughout history. They all tended to lean heavily to one side or the other of the force, and they all became fanatical about their chosen alignment with it. Dral could remember his father's voice saying to him, "Dral, these groups of force wielders were dangerous. By relying to heavily upon the force in the first place, they loose sight of the broader picture. All to often, the practitioners end up either consumed by what the Dar'jetiise call the Dark Side, or become too pacified following what the Jetiise call the Light side. Neither way is the way that a Mandalorian should use the force. A Mandalorian force user should always bear in his mind the fact that he is first a Mandalorian, with all which that entails. The Force, is a tool. Just like your Bes'kad, or a blaster, or a hydrospanner. It is a tool, the use of which can be very helpful, but a tool nonetheless. You must treat it as another tool in your arsenal, alongside your armor and your weapons. But beware, because it is all too easy to fall to one side or the other and to rely on the Force too much. It is not something to be worshiped, and it is not something to hold at the core of yourself." Dral shook himself out of his memories in time to hear Dukit's final line.
"Very well Dukit, If you have something for today's attention, I can handle that now. "

Dukit pulls up the final page of his report. He had additional details for anything on this page, but given the volume, they would have to be sent for.
-Dukit You also have tree hundred & twelve challenges to duels, ninety three business propositions, nearly seven hundred marriage offers, & forty two gifts (not counting a rather large array of mailed in undergarments). Of the gifts, ten of them were either trapped or otherwise hazardous. Standard procedure under Aya was a polite refusal of all such things. Plus donating any gifts to appropriate institutions. They are, however, pending your decision on the matter.

Standard S.O.P.'s sound perfect for those items. Besides, I'm married and have no intention of building a harem. One good Mandalorian woman is all I need. As for the business propositions, rather than a polite yet outright refusal, we should shunt them to the appropriate Mandalorian businesses so that our economy could benefit, while the official leaders need take no part in it. In that regard I say we donate the... appropriate gifts, to appropriate institutions, and the business propositions to the appropriate businesses. The others I say are best handled as Aya was inclined with a polite yet firm refusal."

Three Mandalorians walk into a bar.
Rather than the beginning of a poor joke, the reality was an eclectic looking trio. One in black and green, one in deep green with gold scrollwork, and one in unpainted beskar. The short one, in black and green, led the way, before being pulled back by the shoulder by the taller, bulkier one in the deep green. That one and the more slender one in the unpainted armour led the way.
Practiced eyes would be able to tell the one without paint was female. The three made their way into Oyu'baat and found a table with two bench seats facing one another. They sat down, the unpainted one across from the other two. Helmets remained on for now, as the three conversed between themselves inside their helmets.Let's get some tihaar. Vevut exclaimed, excited by the crowd in the ancient and famous cantina. Let's not. Amaranth put an end to that thought. We're here for information, not to get blasted.The third member of the trio remained silent, busy scanning the room. A server came over to them, and the unpainted Mando spoke for them. Three hits of Spotchka. She held up three gloved fingers. The server left. Spotchka? Vevut complained. Konig punched his younger brother in the shoulder playfully. It's good for you. The three waited for the server to return.

*A tiny devil of dust kicked up around her feet as she entered the Oyu'baat. Like most of the patrons she was covered head to toe, however her armor was not beskar, but a simple reek hide over coat and a thin material wrapped around her that never seemed to be the same color when you looked at it a second time. Her normal features were hidden behind a helmet molded after a waterworm of Drexel. Behind her, an R9 unit trundled with an air of apprehension. She walked up to the bar and flagged the bartender down.*

The Mandalorian female in the unpainted beskar was the first of the three Australis siblings to notice the newcomer. The droid was a hint that the individual was an aruetii. No Mando was liable to bring a droid into Oyu'baat. It wasn't forbidden, but it wasn't really the done thing, either. Mandalorians had certain views about Droids. Looks like we might have a source. Amaranth said, getting her brothers' attention. They couldn't just begin asking Mando'ade stupid questions. Questions like "whats going on in the galaxy, we've come from 800 years in the future" tended to get you shot, or locked away in an institution. An aruetii, though, might be alright. Konig was the only Force-sensitive of the trio, and he reached out towards the newcomer, just lightly, brushing past with the Force, trying to get a sense of their aura. He didn't sense anything particularly malevolent from them. He shook his head. No direct threat. Vevut made as if to stand, but Konig held him down. Vevut wasn't known for being sensible. The server arrived with the three mugs of spotchka, Konig stood, and walked across. His green armor was ornate, with inlaid aurodium scrollwork. He took a lot of pride in his appearance, which made him similar only to his elder sister Marit, who wasn't present today, among his siblings.Konig stepped to the bar a few paces from the newcomer.This round is on me. He gave a nod, green helmet and T-visor masking his smile. Syren

*Syren tensed. There was a pressure through the Force, the lightest of touches. She cast a look over her left shoulder, letting the HUD adjust the light levels around the pub so she could get the lay of the land. Right... everyone in helmets... and she did not want to announce her Force presence fully enough to ping the hole room for the source of the distrbance. A hulk in green armor approached the bar. But a server had just brought his table drinks. Syren turned back to the bartender reaching for a bottle.*This round is on me. He gave a nod, green helmet and T-visor masking his smile. Syren ::Generous of you, friend.::*She was always wary of people offering to buy her drinks. They usually wanted something.*

Friend? Good sign, aruetiise without manners didn't usually last long on Mandalore.
No problem. Konig waved to the bartender. One of those for me. Vevut wasn't looking, and too bad if he was. Konig wasn't going to let his new friend drink alone, that would be rude. The whiskey appeared, the bartender having anticipated the younger Australis's request. Konig, appreciatively, passed an extra credchit across as a tip. Good service was good service.
He raised the glass to the newcomer, then took a sip. His buy'ce had a drinking straw, there were plenty of places that he'd been drinking where he wasn't going to take off the helmet. Oyu'baat wasn't one of them, but most everyone else had theirs on.
First time on Mandalore? He pointed with his drink towards the R9 droid by way of explanation.

Setting the glass down she smiled fully at the green clad man, her dagger like teeth forming a distinctive and jagged line framed between the false teeth. Thin blue lips pulled back around the grey blue of her cheeks framed there. She had not lifted the visor to clear her eyes so only her toothy smile showed.*"Unfortunately" *She said in answer to his question. She noticed his indication of R9. Kriff, R9-Y4 had been right. There would be no living with him when she got back to the ship. Should have brought Droma instead, she thought internally.
She lifted a credit chit up from a pouch at her waist.* "Don't suppose Republic credits spend well in Keldabe?"

Konig noted the toothy smile, though he wasn't able to place the species of the newcomer.He nodded his helmeted head. Ah, Manda'yaim's not such a bad place.Her mention of credits opened up a line of conversation Konig thought might lead around to some useful answers. Subtly, he waved off Amaranth, who would keep Vevut occupied and from messing things up while he worked.They spend just fine, so long as you want to buy weapons, hire mercenaries, or you're into farming. You already found the best place on Mandalore to spend them. He indicated the cantina they were in. Oyu'baat is about the best place to find what you need. Everyone comes here.That was an understatement. Despite having several large and purpose built buildings constructed for the purpose of conducting government business, inevitably, most of the important work was done in this very cantina. It was a sort of unspoken tradition, and no one picked fights in here, unlike the Mandalorian Assembly or MandalMotors Hall.Syren

It seemed like he wanted something more, and it seemed that he was feeling her out before coming out with it. Syren was not one to play coy, often, and dancing around like this would be tiresome, sooner rather than later.
She turned to the bartender when he passed back by.* "Just an ale love, don't matter what planet its from. Something with a good acetone finish though would be choice, though my friend here might need something that won't blind him so quickly." Kaine Australis

Konig had the answer waiting. He nodded in gratitude to his new friend and turned his helmeted head to the bartender.Netra gal. Black ale would do fine for his taste. Kad knew what acetone was going to do to him, sounded like something his father would drink. By way of gratitude and respect; a show of trust in Mando culture, as some saw it, Konig reached up and removed his buy'ce, clipping it to his belt. Long pale hair flopped out of the helmet. It wasn't too matted and horrible, he hadn't been in the armour for days, or not washed recently; as many Mando'ade had the habit of doing. Konig took some pride and care in himself; especially compared to his erstwhile father. His features would give him away as Arkanian, the pale eyes and pale hair he had inherited from his mother, combined with facial features that resembled Kaine. His pale eyes assessed the newcomer and he smiled, though not too much.Maybe you can repay me with some information. My vode and I have been.. out of touch. There's only so much you can glean from the shabla Holonet after all.He figured that lead would do, and then he could return the drink, and maybe get some more answers. And this was much more fun than trolling through holozines. Syren
