Located in the private and secure section of The Rock is Lamia's Palace, home to the leader of the Vegemite Enclave, and a place for the various vegemite reprobates to hang out and crash when they need somewhere to stay or a couch to pass out on. It is finely appointed without being too posh.

Lamia stood in the doorway and took in the view.
She'd certainly had to come a long way from the streets of Bimissari where Sinistra found her.
Manaan seemed lifetimes away.
It was a new start with some old friends.
Lamia walked to the bar and poured herself some of Manaan's finest whiskey and sat down.
"Let the games begin!"

Shaking her head at the Mandalorian, she warily headed through the doors to what was called Lamia's Palace. Sipping her water as she walked, she stopped in front of a large room where a very familiar Twi'lek was standing at a bar drinking what looked like a wonderful bottle of whiskey. Just what the doctor ordered.
"Pour me one, would you?"
Sinistra padded quietly in the room, setting her now empty water glass down on a table as she sank into an overstuffed chair.
"I assume someone finally put me to bed when I got too obnoxious. Please tell me it wasn't a Mandalorian."

Lamia watched as her oldest friend and former master walked across to her, visibly rough from the night before. Hair of the dog was what Sinistra needed.
The togruta, not as hungover, reached for the bottle and filled Sin's glass.
Lamia laughed. "I couldn't tell you who put you to bed. There was a whole lot of stuff going on. Probably better a Mando than Villa's mum though." She filled her glass as well and took a long swig.
"This will get you feeling right. If we got anything good from Manaan it was the whiskey, eh?"

Two Mandalorians in full armour entered Lamia's palace. Upon entering they removed their helmets. Both were young females. One was in plain unpainted beskar, the other's was almost elegant sky blue and white. Sisters, half-sisters in truth, they were both daughters of Kaine Australis, much to their constant chagrin. They were both Mando'ade and had gone through the training and completed their verd'goten; but they could not be more different.
Marit was two years younger at nineteen, raised in the nobility on her native Commenor. Amaranth wasn't raised at all, having grown up an orphan on a world she thought of as her own personal hell. Amaranth had insisted on the beskar'gam, though Marit was usually far more comfortable away from armour.Amaranth being the elder, spoke for them. Marit tried not to sigh, for she had been raised in proper behaviour. She waited to be addressed, while her sister walked right up to the bottle of wine, almost expectantly. We thought we'd come say hello. I'm Amy, this is Marit. Marit inclined her head. We're better company than buir. She smiled widely, comfortable in any situation. Marit smiled too, though she was covering her wonder at being in this place, where only those far senior and more worldly than the two sisters were ever permitted to set foot. "I don't seem to remember anything from a certain point onwards. But since I woke up in my clothes, I'm fairly certain I behaved myself somewhat."
She took the glass gladly and sipped the cool, amber liquid, feeling the burn of the alcohol as it went down her throat. That would do the trick nicely.
"Walking away from Manaan with nothing but the whiskey and memories is getting off light."
As the two Mandalorian women entered, Sinistra squinted and looked to Lamia for explanation. When her furrowed brows weren't getting the message across, Sinistra remembered she could use telepathy.
Um, did I miss something last night where I'm chummy with Mandalorians now?
When they introduced themselves, Sinistra opened her mouth to speak, closed it as she considered how to introduce herself, and then decided to just be as simple as possible.
Hi, I'm Sinistra. And I'm confused and slightly hungry.

Lamia raised her eyebrow at her friend. "Are you sure that you weren't assisted by Hevn? He certainly had eyes for you last night." Before Sin could answer her they were interrupted by the Mando women.
=Sin= <<Um, did I miss something last night where I'm chummy with Mandalorians now?>>
=Lamia= <<I don't fraking know why they are here or how they even got in.>>
Lamia shifted on the couch and sat up a little to get a better look at the ladies. She was going to have to have words with her security team for sure.
=Sin=
"Hi, I'm Sinistra. And I'm confused and slightly hungry."
Sinistra was not good if she was hungry. Lamia motioned to one of the service droids to start laying out food for them.
=Lamia=
"Perhaps you two would like to explain who you are and why you are here and why you are better company than your buir... and who is your buir exactly?"

Neither of the girls was telepathic or Force sensitive. They had their perceptions; Marit in the Commenori Royal Court, and Amaranth, not getting dead on a daily basis for the majority of her life on the hellhole that was her homeworld. These two had no idea who they were; that much was obvious to both.
Marit and Amy shared a look that spoke volumes. No, they don't know who we are. Marit, you do the talking. Some women didn't need telepathy to know what the other was thinking, and the Australis sisters; being the two girls among three brothers, had learned to read one another's body language and facial expressions as a way of communicating silently among their boisterous bombastic brothers.Marit smiled to the Togruta; She knew her name was Lamia, but it wasn't polite to show assumptions; and she was the classically educated of the sisters, hence Amy's insistence she speak for them. Our father is Kaine Australis. She smiled, it wasn't polite to say how embarrasing they found that fact. It also explained, she hoped, why they made better company than the old drunk. He's usually more focused on military matters, and not much for conversation outside the subject of blowing things up.That got a response out of Amaranth, who was already helping herself to food and drink. Marit looked on disapprovingly, still waiting to be invited to sit and join their hosts.Or shooting people, he does a lot of that. Amy added, sipping at the wine and murmuring approvingly.Lamia Bes'tial Lord Sinistra

"Huh," was all Sinistra managed to say before her headache reminded her that she needed more water, or alcohol, or someone to knock her back out for a few hours.
"Have a seat and talk then. I'm Sinistra and this is Lamia. As long as you don't mind that we are Sith, then we're good." She downed the whiskey and sipped at the water before she looked over to Lamia.
"So where the blazes are we? "

Lamia squinted her eyes at the girls.
"Kaine Australis? The brawler from last night that hurled all over the Boob? Charming." Lamia handed Sinistra a large glass of water, and then picked up her own drink.
"So what, may I ask, would bring you to my chambers? I wasn't aware that Sith and Mando's were chummy." Lamia took a drink. "Pardon my rudeness, ladies, can I get you a drink? Do you drink? If you are anything like your father, I would assume you do. Coopers? I think we have some here somewhere."

Marit and Amy weren't the type to be judgy, least of all because they had to bear the shame of their father's behaviour.Thankyou for having us. We thought we would come to talk business, with you being the new boss of the Vegemite Enclave. She had been told as much by Kaine, that Lamia was to be in charge of the organization, most assuredly anyone but Kaine was fine with Marit and Amy.Father mentioned you would be running things.Amy sipped approvingly at the wine, and nodded and raised a thumb with a mouthful of it to signal her approval of Coopers. Marit failed to suppress the shudder that went through her at the thought of beer.No beer for my sister.Amy added, through a gulp of wine.
Marit walked over and lifted the half full glass of Amy's wine from her. Thankyou. She said to Amy's scowl, and went to sit by Lamia and Sinistra.Sith, Mandos, Jedi, they're just titles. I'm a Baroness, for example, but they are just labels. It's what you do that matters. Marit gave a friendly smile. She was able at the diplomatic arts, while Amaranth was more martial. So despite Amy's usual take charge attitude, she was choosing to take charge of being silent while Marit put the best face on things.I rarely wear my armour. It's not very Mandalorian, I suppose, but each to their own? She raised her wine glass to her host. Lamia Bes'tial Lord Sinistra

Lamia finished her drink. "Well, the older I get, the more I don't feel the need to follow the rules. They don't really exist. You do you.
She filled her mug again and smiled. "So tell me, why did dear old dad send you to negotiate with the likes of Sinistra and myself? What business could he have with us? Is it money? Cuke fields were abundant this year, so we could help. We developed this sweet new strain. It's so light and citrusy.... I remember my first cuke. You never forget your first one. My late husband's lover snuck in a bouquet of flowers. I should have known better. He was such a cad, he never gave flower. Carnifex... crusty old coot. Anyway, I digress... business? What business do we have?

Sinistra had fallen over on her side, dragging a pillow over her head while Lamia spoke, the blessed darknesses and coolness of the pillow offering her a second of peace without the throbbing of her head. That was to be shortlived as a loud klaxon blared over their conversation, and Sinistra pressed the pillow to her ear, wishing that she would go deaf just about then.
Great. The station was being boarded. Someone was going to die for the pain of the warning alarms.
Pushing the pillow off her head, she sat up, her wet hair askew and sticking to her face.
"Well, there is no apparently no rest for the wicked and hungover."
She set her glass down, picked up the water pitcher, and chugged it all before she set it lightly down, belched and turned on her heel and walked quickly out of the room. Her weapons were in her room down the hall and with a light jog in her bare feet, she ducked back into her room, grabbed the silver saber and headed for the direction of the Wet Deck following the signs and, oh good, flashing lights.

Lamia's wrist pad started buzzing frantically and then the alarms. She looked at the half empty bottle of whisky on the table in front of her and shook her head.
"Well ladies, I hate to cut this short, but it seems that we are being invaded. We will have to continue at another time." Lamia stood up and went to her desk, finding her daggar in the bottom drawer in the box it was given to her in. She strapped it to her thigh and followed Sinistra out of her chambers. "Whoever they are, they are going to regret their decision very soon. "

Marit was about to reply to Lamia's question when battle called. Both Australis women were on their feet in moments, both helmets going on, Amy for protection, Marit for efficiency of communications. They both made for the doors along with their hosts, Marit took to the comm net, checking in with Security and getting a feed of the holocams which she doubled to her sister's HUD. Looks like they're already in full regret. Marit said coyly, watching those thugs that hadn't been put down begin to run away. Amaranth padded past her sister, now a hunter for true; moving out in search of prey. They had both transformed from their out of combat selves, though with Amy it was on or off, Marit was always calm, collected, and to her duties. She could fight, but served better in other capacities. She would never say it to Amy's face, but her simple-mindedness in combat reminded Marit of their father. Lamia Bes'tial Lord Sinistra
