*Just prior to the battle with the CU of NTS...
The shuttle docked within the Rock. Had Ava been conscious, she might have demanded to be brought down to the planet, but the station had been rather decisive on their coming aboard. Aydyn stepped down from the shuttle to the rocky face of the base. He bounced gently on his heels, gaining his bearings. Ava would be out for another good 30 - 60-minutes, and he felt no need to sit around waiting for her to gain consciousness. The togruta could handle that. In fact, Otto was already checking on the insane Thallassan.
Aydyn left some instructions about staying with the ship to Penelope, then headed into the the inner parts of the station. The Wet Deck was dimly lit, but he could make out the two women at the bar clearly. Avarath had indicated that he should seek out Lamia, a togurta female if he got into any trouble with the Sith. Lamia might not be able to provide him any protection, but she was a reasonable sort... Aydyn questioned on what Ava considered as reasonable, but still, he was in new territory and this was a lead.
He made his way to the bar, stepping over a pile of drunken ugnaughts. Sleep well, piglets, he thought.**Upon reaching Lamia, Aydyn spoke clearly in basic,* "My lady, Lamia, may I have a moment of your precious time?"
*Aydyn offered a generous bow with red and gold eyes always on Lamia, keeping Sinistra in his peripheral vision.*Lamia Bes'tial Lord Sinistra

Lamia took the spice stick from Sinistra and took another long drag on it. Just as she exhaled, she noticed someone new approaching. She handed it back to Sin, coughing. "Damn *cough* that second toke *cough* always gets me *cough*"
=Aydyn=
"My Lady, Lamia, may I have a moment of your precious time?"
Lamia chuckled and took a drink. "Well, you can, if you promise to not call me Lady Lamia. It's just Lamia. This is Sinistra, my confidant and Master. What can we do for you?"

With the one-two clang of boots on ship's decking, Archais stepped off the light freighter that had carried him this far and onto the Rock station proper. He cast his gaze about for a moment, before turning back to see the ship's exterior hatch already closing behind him, a gruff Ames offering a final glare before the bulkhead separated the two. Clearly the man had been as keen as Archais to get the perceived vagabond off his ship, and the abated friction was a welcome, if hollow, departure. Granted, they'd rescued him from an unfeeling hell of carbonite freezing - he still didn't know how long he'd been under, but it hadn't been brief - and ferried him about on a few errands, but as soon as he'd mentioned the Raxus system, the crew had steadfastly refused the carry him further. They'd agreed to bring him to a recently-sprung-up trading hub, and a scant week later there he stood.
It was an odd feeling, blending into the bustle of the spaceport crowd as any number of hundreds of refugees, merchants, travelers, and other assorted folks unconsciously avoided him to move past. Here he stood as a man who'd overseen the defeat of armies, the laying-low of entire worlds, and had unaccountable oceans of blood on his hands. That felt like a lifetime ago, and the deep-welled hatred that had driven those actions burned still, but here he was simply another traveler. He'd not been anonymous in a station like this since....well, quite a long time ago, on some assassination job for a former master or contractor. Anonymity suited him for the time being, and he stepped forward to begin a walk to nowhere in particular.
He wore a black flight suit, probably looking the part of a down-on-his-luck pilot making port before flying off to parts unknown. Aside from his various cybernetic enhancements, some of which would be difficult to remove indeed, all he carried on him was a low-value credit chit and a datapad. The 'pad found its way into his hand, and as he walked he keyed up the only video stored on it - a holonet story about piracy in the Raxus system, which included footage captured from some victim on a freighter that had been hit by one of the more notorious crews in the area. The shaky footage displayed an arc-cutter slicing through a bulkhead, and after the walls fell and a hail of blaster bolts came through the opening, a group had stepped into view with a certain man at their head. His features were difficult to make out in the low light, but the glint off the weapon he held was unmistakably a metal sword.
A very specific sword.
Archais didn't know what had happened to get him encased in carbonite and thrown into the depths of space. He might've drifted among the stars for an eternity had the freighter's crew not happened upon him, and the various pieces of gear he'd assembled over the years had been presumed lost. Most were replaceable, and he was not the sentimental type to yearn for a lost blaster, but his sword was a part of him, as intrinsic to his being as the Force itself. He had an unmistakable urge to reunite with it, and through some quirk of fate it had landed in the grasp of a pirate king - a soon to be deceased pirate king.
He needed to recover his blade. Then, he'd set about once more becoming the shadowed hand of galactic happenings.
First, though, he needed to get his bearings and find willing transport. He stopped to look about, and without realizing it had come to a bar. Pocketing the datapad, he stepped inside.

"Lamia, Sinistra, my name is Aydyn, an..." He paused slightly narrowing his eyes while he thought about what to call his and Ava's relationship, "...acquaintance of Avarath. I have a business proposition and she mentioned that you may be amiable to such a proposal." He kept an eye level with her own, but was mildly distracted by the swirls of her montralls and tattoos.Lamia Bes'tial

Sinistra let the spice stick from her grasp as Lamia took a long pull and passed it back as Sin took a sip of the whiskey in front of her. She sat watching the exchange between Lamia and Aydyn with her mind wandering over the things she needed to accomplish when she saw someone walk into the bar, his presence bringing a heavy determination to Sinistra's mind that she swore she had felt before. She watched him carefully, her attention split between Aydyn and Lamia, and the new arrival.
This day was getting interesting.
She pulled a datapad from the bar top and looked up the name of the establishment and finally, she had an answer to her question. She was on kriffing Myrkr.

Avarath... a name she'd not heard until Leto's memorial. Their first encounter was chaos at best. Lamia's need to kill her put her in labor and left Avarath to help deliver Ryddik.
"Ah yes. How is Avarath? It's been some time." Lamia took a drag of her spice stick. "What kind of business? Cucumbers? Kolto? Board games?" Lamia looked down at the spice stick. "Excuse my rudeness, do you enjoy spice?"

"The physiology makes it distinctly uncomfortable..." That did however strike another proposition though. "An intravenous method however..." His lips quirked up in a slight smile before gently waving his hand as if to waive the thought away for the time being. "Funny you should mention kolto. That is one of several pursuits I have in mind. I have a small band of selkath on Manaan that are eager to break ground as it were on a new filtration method. We've been able to conduct some pilot programs on a small scale with an impressive yield for the size of operation. We've also managed to find markets for all of the by products of the process. We do lack sufficient credit to enter large scale operations." He was trying not to mention Avarath. She would be along in due time...

Mij led him to the docking bay holding the Kara'yaim, in which a colorful and chaotic bazaar had sprung up. When Kara'yaim made port, the whole troupe would spill out of the ship to set up shop in tents. containers, and lean-tos. Mij waved him over to barreled off corner where a makeshift bar was set up, a small hologram showing what sorts of exotic drinks and snacks were available from all the places they traveled.

Good day! Archais followed studiously as Mij led them to one of the many docking bays the Rock sported. As they meandered, he had the chance to people-watch; he spotted merchants, artisans, entertainers, vagabonds, and the various others you'd see at any port of call. What stood out was the occasionally heavily-armed sort you'd only see in two places - lawless backwaters, and staging grounds for something considerably violent. This was a station that was alive with a movement. Perhaps a new paramilitary force was brewing, or perhaps Myrkr had grown more lively during his time away than he'd speculated. In either case, where violence brewed there was opportunity.
The Mandalorian led him to a specific hangar bay and offered a brief explanation before scurrying off, and Archais called out a word of thanks as he turned. This would be a high-traffic area when the ship berthed here returned, and the "bar" indicated seemed a good place to keep an eye on things until then. He saddled up and ordered something light - best to keep his wits about him if he was to deal with the Mandos.

He saddled up and ordered something light - best to keep his wits about him if he was to deal with the Mandos. A short while later, there was the commotion of returning victorious warriors. Families greeting each other, the telling of tales. On the raid of the CU of NTS ship, this small troupe seemed to have come off well. One particular warrior, clearly heavily armed and of some importance, in armor of archaic style, approached the bar area and took off his horned helmet, placing it on the make shift bar and having a quick conversation with it's keeper. Cuyan nodded and took a large duraplast jug, marked only with three xeshes, and two earthenware tumblers and sat across from Archais. He placed the jug down very precisely along with the two tumblers. He looked at the visitor with his one good eye as he removed weapons from his person so as to sit more easily, laying them precisely on the table. His movements almost ritual, the sort of movement built of long discipline. His weapons were unusual, the beskad, kal, and blasters were typical enough, if exceptional in quality, but the other two were a ryyk blade and a strange vibroaxe. "I hear you are looking for Cuyan Skirata."The grizzled and heavily ridged visage of the warrior appraised Archais as he retied his hair into a topknot and then poured two drinks. He threw one back with a stone face and lit a cigarra, then refilled the empty one and pushed one over toward him. He spoke again, his northern mandalore accent heavy on the basic tongue."You've found him. What can I do for you burc'ya?"

What can I do for you burc'ya?" Archais regarded the arrival of the Mandalorian troupe with a measure of amusement. This was a band of brothers and friends who clearly regarded combat in a way much different than he - the Force tasted of joy, pride, defiance, a curious mix of emotion that laid a complex groundwork for the men and woman who radiated what he could only label as "life." His world was a much different one, where battle was a cold, calculated thing. He was careful to keep his thoughts to himself as a distinctive Mandalorian in a horned helmet took a seat near him.
The man kept steady eye contact as he placed his weapons on the table. Archais met that gaze, clocking the melee weapons and blasters. He clearly had an affinity for his blades, and Archais could appreciate that. The man knocked his drink back and introduced himself before sliding a tumbler his way.Archais regarded the drink a moment, then picked it up in his left, organic hand. He leaned back, and spoke.=Archais= "In the interest of transparency," he held his right forearm vertically in front of him and made a fist, ejecting the nine-inch blade from the top of his wrist. He let it remain exposed as he took a swig of the drink from his tumbler - it wasn't something he recognized, but had an earthy taste along with a burn that would rival plenty of starfighters' propulsion systems - and retracted it before placing the tumbler on the table.=Archais= "Call me Sentriss. Not looking for you specifically - I've been contracted to run security for a freighter bound for Raxus and find myself light on arms," he offered a half-grin at the pun that didn't extend to his eyes. "I asked one of your men about an outfitter, and he lead me here."He picked the tumbler back up and took a second, smaller sip. The earthy tone had graduated to a slightly more subtle oaken taste, and it went down more smoothly, though Archais still wagered it could peel the paint of most capital ships."I'm told your people make the best weapons in civilized space, and I'd like to negotiate a trade. Strictly between you and I, I plan to make a bit of a detour that should provide a ripe opportunity for salvage - I'd like to offer your group the first chance to pluck the remains if it means getting kitted before I go in. A few weapons in exchange for choice loot. What say you?"

"You heard right."Cuyan chuckled lightly to himself, pouring a third drink after finishing his second, and exhaling a thick cloud of tabac smoke, with slight notes of good spice. He leaned back in his seat, feeling his age upon him post battle, thinking of the hurts that he bore that he wouldn't have even ten years ago. Cuyan seemed to think on the subject and then spoke, surveying Sentriss with his remaining eye. "Depends on what you're looking for, and what kind of detour it is."

Cuyan seemed to think on the subject and then spoke, surveying Sentriss with his remaining eye. "Depends on what you're looking for, and what kind of detour it is."
Archais eyed the Mandalorian a moment as the latter puffed on his cigarra, leaning forward as the aged warrior leaned back. He hardened his expression - this conversation, outwardly looking a simple exchange of goods for service, was to him a complex arithmetic of intent and resource. While, true, his liquid assets left quite a bit to be desired, his knowledge, skills, and what secrets he had were the capital he needed. Best to negotiate as if he had the better hand, and be selective in which of his cards to show his adversary.Archais glanced to his datapad and, with his free hand, slid it forward on the table. He tapped a command, and a hologram sprung into the air above it. It was the recording from the pirate attack in the Raxus system, and he spoke low as the video unfolded.=Archais= "This video was captured approximately sixteen standard days ago by a man who is most assuredly now dead. Pirates operating in the Raxus system have been preying on ore freighters and salvagers for months now, and as you can see, they're impressively outfitted."Archais debated allowing the video to play further; easy enough to conceal the true reason for his interest in this - as if he had the remotest interest in chasing outlaws - but a curious instinct drove him. Before sat a warrior, plain in his practicality yet radiating the same intoxicating miasma of battle lust. Distill that emotion down to its components and there was the same hunger that drove Archais himself, merely sharpened to a lethal edge and steeped in the cleansing dark side. While Archais had found allies in few places through the years and across the parsecs, something told him the being before him could be useful as a....tool, at the cost of revealing one of his cards.
He let the video play on as his target came into view, the outline and glint of a sword easily seen as the raid played out.=Archais= "This one carries something of mine that I would see returned. A...family heirloom. A sword without equal in its sentimentality or its creation. That is what I seek, and I intend to leave his ship dead in space as a monument to his arrogance in taking it from me. Provide me what resources I need and you're welcome to whatever remains."

From what he could see of the sword in question, it did seem to be of exceptional make, light for its size and lively in the hand. When he mentioned that it was without equal in its creation, Cuyan seemed to register a small amount of interest."I can understand, on all counts. Raxus eh? I am open to it, but what resources do you need, and how will you be getting there?"Cuyan took another drink and another puff, letting the narcolethe and spice laced tabac remove those lingering aches and pains he felt. His thoughts flashed quickly to his younger brother, who might be of particular use when dealing with such.

His thoughts flashed quickly to his younger brother, who might be of particular use when dealing with such. Archais watched the Mando's reaction carefully and the tells were there - the ever-so-subtle expansion of the pupil in the being's working eye, the way the Force stirred with a subtle intrigue. The weapon play had been the right move, but now to ensure he didn't push too hard.
Archais leaned back in his seat, left hand idly fumbling the tumbler as he detailed his plan.=Archais= "Transport is already secured - I plan to perform hull-to-hull maneuver via the freighter I've secured a place on. Minimal support needed. Once aboard, gather what intelligence I can, find the target, take back what's mine, and detonate the ship's reactor. Should take care of any lingering crew and leave a ripe target for plunder, if a party is aware of where the ship is."He cast his gaze to the side in a show of uncertainty. He wanted the Mandalorian to believe he was capable, but overconfident. He wanted the Mandalorian to invest just a bit more than he thought he should have, give him the confidence that a spacegoing mercenary had the training and tools to disable a ship and evade capture while offering just enough uncertainty that his investment could tip the balance.=Archais= "I've got a few tricks up my sleeve," here a nod to his right, indicating his wristblade,"but a close-quarters assault weapon would be ideal. Not loud, as I don't intend to fight an entire ship's complement of pirates," a lie,"and I don't want to find myself overwhelmed,"as if they would have the scarcest idea how to corner a killer of his ability."I imagine anything else I can salvage on board or find in a standard transport.
"And if trust is hard to come by, I'd be willing to have a man of yours accompany me to verify the location once the job is done."

He pulled a small frown. He had not encountered any trouble on the planet. The selkath were reasonably suspicious, and the gangsters no more aggressive than normal. But stomping grounds. Avarath had not mentioned this. "We can leave at anytime you like." He answered briefly after a short time. "I suspect by now I may have to find where Avarath has gotten to, if she got off the ship at all. There is something not quite right about her... cuddly lately too."

Lamia put out her spice stick and put the butt in her pocket. She finished her drink and pushed the glass toward the bar droid.
"We can live in a couple hours. I need to put some supplies together and get my ship ready. And let my son know I will be going. He may decide to join us. I will meet you on the docks then. Is there anything you need for the trip? Do you have transport and supplies?"
Lamia turned to Sinistra. "I'm heading to Manaan. I know you have some things to tie up, meet me there when you are done if you wish. I will keep you updated on what I think and then we can sit down and hammer out the details."

Cuyan put his helmet back down and nodded, looking the man over. He was a cocky one, but Cuyan had been around long enough to know that some people were more than they appeared, and it made little difference to him ultimately.
"My price is a chance to examine your sword. I accept your offer to have someone accompany you, as I wish to protect my investment. He will be on his way. As for the resources you require, I have an idea about that." Cuyan picked up his helmet again as he heard a ping, and listened to the response.::Gar vod cuyir bat miai.
Kaysh malyasa'yr olaror o'r resol pur ca'nara.::He placed it back down and finished his drink. It had been awhile since he had seen his younger brother."You have no armor, and limited weaponry. But this I can fix. Do you accept my terms?" Archais chewed on it a moment. This was a subtle play, whether his opposite understood it or not - the sword would give much of his past and capabilities away to a trained eye, but defend too arduously and the Mando would know he'd laid a smokescreen down. Best to secure what he needed now, and deal with subterfuge later.=Archais= "Very well. I'll present my sword to you upon my return. Your man can provide the location of the salvage, and we'll go our separate ways. So, what do you have in mind?"
