The Prime Minister had been monitoring events quite closely from his home in Xucphra City. It therefor took much less time than it usually would for the various diplomatic staff of both parties to reach the newly elected Prime Minister himself. A few moments later Marcus Starmane, now Deputy Prime Minister, joined remotely from Corellia. Transitioning in the middle of a diplomatic crisis was not ideal, however fortunately the two men had a good relationship and worked well together allowing it to be much smoother than it could have been. When the opulently dressed woman appeared on his viewscreen he knew who he was speaking to. His staff had done all the necessary research since the appearance of this faction on Thyferra, and had confirmed who was talking to the Prime Minister before patching him through. She was a Sith. Hardly the most reassuring of people to be adressing, though he hoped she would be more level headed than the bombastic Mandalorian's from Clan Australis. "Good evening, Ms Kedara. Is that how you wished to be referred?" he inquired politely. "I have been watching the situation closely indeed," he nodded, his hands clasped together as he sat back in his chair. "Thyferra is an integral part of the Coalition, so naturally as Prime Minister I have been fully briefed. Not to mention, as I am sure you are aware, this planet is my home, so I am even more invested in ensuring we find a peaceful solution. I am quite pleased that cooler heads seem to be prevailing now. We do not want conflict. Our only interest is defending the sovereignty of Thyferra and the Coalition." He spoke very calmly as he made it clear where he stood. Sinistra nodded in the affirmative to his question about her manner of address, and listened to him to confirm the intelligence she was given regarding his home on Thyferra. When he paused, she drew a breath to open the discussions.Ms. Kedara is fine, thank you for asking. Let me say immediately that the Vegemite Enclave and by extension, Clan Australis recognize the sovereignty of Thyferra and the Coalition. As I understand it, the Enclave contracted with sources to export bacta, who may have misrepresented their legitimacy to act on behalf of the Thyferran government. I can assure you that we merely wish to establish a stable supply of bacta for trade. I am sure there are fines to be levied and whatever you deem fit, we shall abide. I will personally see to the trade negotiations so that we can get everything hammered out and above board. There is no reason we should be enemies. She paused and smiled gently, as she shifted the weight from one hip to another, her hands at her sides now. However, I think the trade talks can wait until we have caught our collective breath. Right now, I believe we need to discuss what we can do so that everyone on the ships in Thyferran space goes home from this one. I understand that our ships have contraband onboard per either Thyferran or Coalition laws?

I understand that our ships have contraband onboard per either Thyferran or Coalition laws? He listened carefully to her words. She seemed to be interested in cordial relations, however the old man was wary of their intentions. The Coalition did not need more enemies, so he was interested in her offers. "The Thyferran government believes all the peoples of the galaxy should have fair access to bacta, provided of course, the Vratix receive their fair share of the profits from its sale," Salvor had become aware the Australis had been selling the bacta they were harvesting with quite a mark up, which certainly explained why they seemed to have less of an objection to the Reparations Tax than the other laws of the Coalition and Thyferra. This disgusted Salvor, bacta was an essential medial product and people's lives, especially those on the Outer Rim who lived hard enough lives as it was, should not be for sale. He detested the view that bacta should be a commodity. That view was shared by much of the people of Thyferra, now that the product was largely in the hands of the people and the government, not the megacorporations. Naturally however, there were still plenty of dissenters who wished to profit from the product. "So we would be happy to negotiate a stable supply for you," he then paused and took a drink of water from the table in front of him. "As for the contraband...yes, transportation of such large quantities of arms is illegal under Coalition law except where permission has been granted by the relevant authorities. In this case, the Thyferran government. As you know, Thyferra was long under the thumb of the Bacta Cartels and various other outsiders who sought to exploit it's resources. They are therefor highly warry of armed...militias, or whatever you would like to call them organising on their planet. Stand procedure would be that such weapons would be seized and charges considered for those involved in the smuggling, however if we can come to an agreement, the Thyferran government would be willing to forgo charges in this instance and allow your ships to return." Making an example of the ship's crews would not be productive, in Salvor's mind. "I have Premier Zuket also listening," he said. Premier Sokvux Zuket, was current leader of Thyferra and close friend of Salvor had already discussed much of what was considered likely to come up.
"If the weapons are surrendered and security forces be allowed an unobstructed inspection of the bases you have constructed, that will be an acceptable solution to this situation in our eyes," stated the Vratix who was with Salvor.

There was affirmative nods as the two spoke about what their demands were to peacefully resolve the conflict. When they had paused and looked to her for response, she gave a soft smile. She could tell of their thinly veiled disgust but it wasn't as if she wasn't deserving of it. The VE was caught with a hand in the cookie jar and it was only natural that they would be distrustful of anyone in her position, let alone a known Sith. Those terms are more than fair. We will surrender any contraband you find, either in the export facilities or on the ships themselves. The Enclave will of course submit to any findings and will accept appropriate sanctions. I will council my Mandalorian comrades that they need not always carry enough military assets to start a small scale war.Sinistra motioned for something off camera and with it a quick transcript of the conversation was sent to the rest of the VE officials and the ships and facilities to expect a thorough inspection and the surrender of arms and armaments.I am glad we could avert an incident. I shall send my people to negotiate the trade deal at once. Shall we meet on Thyferra or Corellia for the summit? She smiled broadly, waiting for them to give her a time and place for negotiating the rest of the details out.

Salvor was suspicious, after the resistance the Mandalorians had put up over Thyferra and Corellia over even the most mundane of requests like identifying themselves and their purpose, Sinistra's ostensible amenable response was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. If it proved to be genuine, that was. "Thank you, Ms Kedara," he said with a nod as she indicated that the Mandalorians would be counselled and required to provide Coalition forces with access to their bases. "We will prepare Corellia for a summit. I would like this to be resolved as quickly as possible, so I will have my people make the necessary arrangements on Corellia and remain in touch with you to sort out a specific date that will allow you the time to travel. It's a long way after all." He then indicated to his aides to get in touch with the Corellian government so they could start preparations immediately. Usualy such things would not be rushed, however, he felt it was best that this particular incident be concluded with and put to rest as soon as possible. "I look forward to meeting you in person, Ms Kedara."

Coalition forces had quickly been notified by the forces on Kiffu of another Australis visit by Fondor and soon had their own visitors. The craft carried only their regular loadout and spare parts, nothing illegal for the locals to find.
As ordered, the pilots cooperated fully with their escorts, awaiting their trip to the surface.Salvor Argon

Following a significant period of strategic planning, which for Kaine involved some heavy drinking and ruminations, the Clan of Australis was ready to take back Thyferra. They were done talking, and it appeared, they were done waiting. A whoosh of hyperspace backwash kicks out as the massive Vegemite Star Destroyer "Beskar Cuke" enters the Thyferra system. Fresh from the MandalMotors/MandalArms joint venture shipyards, Kaine's new and very expensive flagship was far larger than any of the other ships in the Mandalorian fleets to date. Packed with strike craft and Mandalorian warriors, the Beskar Cuke makes its way, shields up, weapons charged, ready for a fight, in towards Thyferra. Its IFF was on and transmitting, and the vessel's master doubted anyone within sensor range would be in doubt as to her intentions.

With the lack of opposition to the movement of their warship into the system, Clan Australis began the bloodless reoccupation of Thyferra, launching transports down to the planet to secure key facilities. Civilian rule would continue, with little change to the lives of the locals. The Beskar Cuke took up a defensive position above the planetary capital to oversee the unopposed landings.

Two Myrkr-class escorts cruised along in the Thyferra system on a regular patrol route. From hyperspace, two more vessels exited, a pair of Kranak-class carriers. This small flotilla was the assigned patrol force for this sector, along with the flagship Beskar Cuke. A formidable array of destructive power, and a flexible, well equipped force, it was well suited to defend the system from a range of attacks, and hold fast until reinforced.
Between the four escorts, they could muster five squadrons of fightercraft, a mix of interceptors and strike craft. Two squadrons of Fury interceptors emerged and flew escort in formation for the four ships as they moved in toward Thyferra orbit. In the days to come, the patrol force would run exercises against Thyferra's garrison, in the air, in space, and on the ground. Mandalorians loved to train, and under the direct administration of Clan Australis once again, though part of the IRI, Thyferra was very much a Mandalorian world once more.
