Dunbar was a small town located in the lands of Annandale, over which Aurorianne Valhalla was Baroness. It was a very modest territory that had a number of large farms within its borders spread out from the town which sat in the middle of the lands. The town itself was inhabited by a variety of townsfolk, but the most prominent percentage of the population were soldiers and former veterans that had come out of retirement. They had followed Aurora during the rebellion, and had followed her on to Dunbar when the land had been granted to her by Countess Bruce. As such, it also featured the newest and one of the most prestigious military academy's in Annandale

It had been a long day, filled with a great number of surprises for the newest Baroness. Despite hoping for an answer to how Abigail felt, her Liege lady had needed yet more time to make her answer. Then there was the appearance of Kent, a young girl whom Aurora had taken on as a Padawan/Apprentice out of the blue. She shifted her gaze toward Kent, as the young girl sat opposite her in the back of the transport while it made a passing flight over the town to get to the landing field that had been setup. Perhaps her time with the Jedi Lords would convince her to continue down the path of the light. Aurora promised to do everything in her power to ensure that was the case.
A few moments passed, before the transport touched down and the landing gear took the weight of the ship. Aurora unbuckled herself and stood up as the ramp loweredWe're here... Welcome to Dunbar...

As they road in the transport, Kent was quiet. She wasn't being shy or reclusive, just analyzing. The patterns in the lay out of the towns didn't line up with most modern cities. They made her think of old cities and towns she had read about, or other very primitives' worlds. They drove through varrious holdings, on their way to one the Aurora had been given. This knowlage helped her understand the system a bit better. She looked at the vast farms, wishing she could smell the plants. As they made their final approach, they passed over an old battlefield that had become a mausoleum. Old Bruce lords hade fought there, many dying defending the area. Kent could not take her eyes off the central crypt, even has the hill fell behind other buildings. Her eyes and focus were locked on it. She missed Aurora welcoming her to the town.

Aurora looked down at Kent who once more seem preoccupied by one thing or another. She'd never really had a Padawan before, but she had spent a lot of time around kids over the years. While there were things that marked her different from others, she still seemed to possess qualities of other kids her age. Aurora waved her hand in front of the girls eyes to try gain her attention Something catch your attention? You know, if you stay strapped in, you won't get any closer to what ever it is...

Aurora's hand movement broke her focus. Kent blushed realizing how silly she must have looked steary off at a crypt and than hill. No, I don't think there is anything interesting there that I couldn't get better from a book, that battle was long ago. The town is lovely, very efficient in its design in many ways. Farms on the outside of a central city, with a large manor house in the middle easily defended. It works well. Are we almost there? The last part she added mostly because she thought she was supposed too.

She chuckled as she tapped the harness controls before stepping back to give Kent room to stand up The battle may have been long ago, but there are things even books won't recount about it... As for the town itself: yes, the Bruce family were quite the planners... She motioned toward the boarding ramp and the city beyond All this was built and laid out by them years ago, with plans for expansion laid out and ready for Dunbar's eventual expansion. Come on, get out of your seat and you'd see we have arrived. It's a short walk to the Manor that now belongs to me... It was still a bit weird to believe that an old Bruce Family Manor now belonged to Aurora, and her alone given her current prospects in life did not quite include future generations of Valhalla's. Perhaps one day her family name would be taken by another, but at present she would be the last of her line

Kent undid her harness and walk down the ramp. The air here hit different. Nar Shaddaa had so many smells; industry, cooking, refuse, and others a person would rather not think about. Felucia was different, there were more smells but they were all natural. The millions of plants and fungi in the jungle all mixing together. The Star ort and capital here was kind of an in between. But here in Dunbar, there was a lack of everything. Some of the farms filled the air, but mostly it was just empty, clean and fresh. The venders were far off. It was also quieter than anyplace she had ever been. The sounds were far off, there were few trees so the birds were farther away. The stillness made Kent a little nervous. She was not getting all the information she was used too in new areas. Instead she looked all around her, taking it all in. Her look could be mistaken for awe, but really it was a desperate grab for information.

Aurora followed alongside Kent down the ramp. Dunbar was definitely nothing like the big cities. It had a market square, some town housing, a couple dozen businesses, and the Annandale Military Training Academy. The landing field was also not particularly large, with most of its space taken up by the Wayfarer-class Medium Transport (Twin Pod Refit) known as Light's Hope. The rest of the field was used by transports to take people to other towns or the cities where bigger spaceports were located.
Aurora then lightly touched Kent's shoulder, guiding the young girl from the landing field and up the hill towards the Manor. A pair of guards opened the gates into the estate, where a large garden filled much of the grounds with a couple paths leading from gates set in the walls toward the Manor itself. Mikal Hawke was dressed in a more reserved leather and chainmail set of protective gear compared to his usual platemail. With the more imminent war over, Mikal was slowly adjusting to more civil life as Lord-Commander of Aurora's forces. Aurora motioned to the manor thenWelcome to Valhalla Manor. As my guest, you'll be able to go anywhere you want and choose a room to stay in. And that, over there, is Lord-Commander Hawke. He's not a Jedi, but he could certainly give one a run for their money...

Thank you Kent awkwardly bowed her head, unsure what the correct action was in this context. She hated being unsure and not knowing what to do. Frustration builds a bit inside her. The manor was splendid. The architecture was like something out of a history text with some modern elements dotted around. The openness began to give her feelings of agoraphobia and kenophobia, she felt that she had no where to go and there was nothing around. She had been used to always being surrounded by things. She found a mid sized closet and tried to park herself in it as her place. She was still thinking of that mausoleum, it filled her thoughts.

Aurora watched Kent disappear off into the manor. She moved to follow, before Mikal's hand came up across her waist and stopped her Kent...
The little one will be fine on her own for a bit My Lady...
I... She shifted her gaze to Mikal, the man's confidence in his statement giving her the strength she needed in the moment to take a couple steps back. She cleared her throat and nodded You're right... Not much trouble she can get up to...
Shall we retire to the study to discuss your trip? or...
No... That won't be necessary. We'll head to the command room and you can bring me up to speed on where our training goals are at to get the Annandale Defence Force back to full strength...
As you command... This way... Mikal lead the way into the Manor and through several hallways to a room which had sat empty and had been converted into a command room with several computer screens and a central holoprojector table. The readouts on the screen listed off crime rates in Annandale and the individual cities and town within the countries borders. It also listed current troop breakdowns and various barracks along with projected numbers for graduates. Current student profiles were also scrolling through with listings on their grades across several categories

After a little bit of time Kent had calmed down enough to venture out of her little room/ closet. She first tracked down the library. She was shocked to find many actual written texts. She had never really held a book in her hand, these were ancient. She wanted to start reading them, but her mind kept being pulled to the grave yard and the mausoleum. She really couldn't think of anyhting else. The sun had gone down, and a small storm had come up. No rain, but a heaviness filled the air as the wind blew and the occasional lightning flash shown. Still, she found a thick robe and went out looking for the place she had seen from the speeder.

The lightning and the wind through her off. It broke her focus, the map she made in her head broke to pieces with the noise and flash. Still she felt she knew where to go. It wasn't really that far, only 3 or 4 miles. She followed the pull up and over hills fight the wind and rain the was stinging her face. The thick robe was soaked shortly even though it was made of a material that normally repelled water. The storm was that intense. It got stronger as she was pulled closer and closer. She was seeing tombs when the lightning flashed. She had seen horrific things, but this still built fear inside her. This was a strange place, full of things that scared most everyone. Still she felt she had to go one. Fear upon fear piled on her. She felt lost, the most terrifying thing for her in her life. She had no idea on how to get back to the small castle she had recently left, the wind and lack of vision made that impossible. She was alone, normally she was used to this, but in this case she didn't have herself to depend on. She had nothing in this moment. Despite this, she pressed on as it was all she could do. The mausoleums got bigger, multiple time she tripped on ancient broken stone, falling into the mud. Still she pressed on.
