Description:
he Leviathan Mk II Battle Cruiser was one of the many projects in the Excelsior Program, created by the now defunct Halocroft Industries. Originally designed to be a heavy hitting, yet well balanced star fighter that act as the bulk of the Star Fighter vanguard - the vessel was only in prototype stages when Halocroft was shut down. As such, the designs disappeared from the galaxy for a time, until the return of Darth Nexus, who retrieved them and brought them into production.
As a new and improved variation of the flag ships of the Dark Tide and Dark Legion, the vessel was a terrifying sight on the battlefield. Abandoning the traditional wedge shape of conventional star destroyers, the vessel consisted of two prows, which housed the hangar bays, that stretched from a central mass which housed the engines as well as a massive Mass Driver Canon, which was one of its most deadly weapons. Along with this heavy artillery, the Leviathan Battle cruisers were known for their rotary styled triple barreled turbolasers that provided a constant stream of heavy fire on any target unfortunate enough to enter its sights, while also giving a smaller footprint to allow for more weapon emplacements.
This arsenal, coupled with its thick armor, and comprehensive shield system allowed for the vessel to enter the heart of a conflict and achieve maximum damage to an enemy fleet. With that being said, the vessel was slower than many ships, which required it to be escorted by a series of frigates and cruisers to offer protection from nimble, more maneuverable vessels.

>Colossus-Class Heavy Mass Driver Canon – Rail Gun Variation-
The Colossus-Class Heavy Mass Driver Canon is the brain child of Halocraft Industries’ weapons division. Rather than creating a unique, innovative weapon, the brains behind this branch decided to improve and optimize an already existing technology. As such, they scaled up the Mass Driver canon and retrofitted it to sit in the berth of the Leviathan Mk II. This cannon launches massive durasteel alloy slugs filled with volatile tibanna gas. This meant that the magnetically accelerated shell was highly affective against both physical defenses, as well as shield technology.
The trade off with this weapon was the power required to fire it. As it had a high calibers slug, which required a substantial amount of energy to propel it, the Leviathan often had to stop any on going assaults in order to launch the weapon, giving the device a short window before it can be used (1 post to charge, while unable to fire other weapons). Even so, this deadly canon had the capacity to disable many large ships with a precise shot, or decimate smaller vessels through sheer force.
The second detriment to housing this weapon is the requirement for specialized munition storage, which limits the Leviathan from carrying more than 10 rounds at any given time.
