Sir, it will be an honor to serve in that capacity, sir! Nicolina's choice of words - saying will be rather than would be - is deliberate; her hope being that her absolute belief in the Imperial way is evident from the rapidity of her reply, as well as subtly conveying to Nicademus that it is inconceivable to her that she might hesitate in the least to answer the call of any duty he might present to her.
Knowing that there are likely additional details to be hashed out, now or at a later time perhaps, Nicolina returns to an at ease posture after her salute and statement to Nicademus have been completed, respectfully remaining silent rather than wasting his time by asking questions he will probably answer or insulting his intelligence with the verbal boot-licking others might employ in an effort to ingratiate themselves to him. Report to High Port, the orbital city of Muunilist, immediately then with the core and best of your division. That is where Darth Rebellious will be training this new department for the future of our faction. Dismissed!Nicademus had nothing further to say after that, but granted the present Stormtroopers a proper salute as the General stood up and gave them a departing and crisp acknowledgement. He was more than happy to see them back in the fold of the Imperial Remnant and would serve a great purpose in the days to come.He cut a fine imposing figure, dressed all in black, the military style coat draping his musculature. Two serious acute eyes lay in the centre of what most humanoids would deem as handsome face. Though Davos doubted few saw beyond the stoicism and fire that bubbled beneath the surface. For it was a face of action and contemplation and seriousness all in equal measure. Davos had only seen the face of the Supreme commander in holos or posters. Yet he was every inch and more so imposing, and the man was currently casting his expectant steely gaze on Davos.
Davos visibly swallowed and tried in vain to wet his parched mouth. He attempted to rise so he were at least seated and went to lift an arm, but found even his muscles were too weak, all he managed was a feeble and husky. The Stormtroopers kept their blasters leveled, a sign that moving an inch could get the Cadet blasted into nothing. The Grand General, keeping a serious look upon his face, opened his gloved hand to let an Imperial Knight hand him a small holoprojector. The Imperial keyed it calmly, revealing the details of what had been witnessed by a local Stormtrooper and recorded by his helmet. It revealed the sudden consequences caused moments before the Cadet blacked out; the weapon turned monster and the Muuns turning on each other and blasting one another. Letting it repeat a few times, Nicademus would pause it before the third cycle, looking at the Cadet sternly.Mind explaining something to me, Cadet Raim? Your profile tells me you are non-force and hardly have the Midi-chlorian count worth to be able to perform such actions. Yet here, you clearly exhibit a raw and powerful force sensitivity...Anya made her way towards the HQ, ready to meet up with Nicademus. It was as she neared the building that she heard the approach of the two ships and turned to see Gavin's freighter. He had already arrived and gotten clearance to land. She redirected herself from straight to the building to the center where Gavin was to meet up with him. Yet as Anya redirected herself away from the center, a sudden change in emotion was felt within the Force from the direction of the IGBC's former HQ. The emotion was that of... fear, strong fear. A blast erupted from the very top of the building, followed by a secondary explosion that seemed to originate from the exact same location. The explosive shockwave tore across the area, causing windows to shatter. Debris was sent flying, smashing into nearby buildings and landing on the ground. Klaxons blared across the central district as the explosion died off, leaving smoke and flames at the top of building where Nicademus was only moments ago. Stormtroopers and support personnel rushed for the main building, orders were barked across the throngs of people as non-essential personnel and civilians were escorted from the building. It was a hellish moment as an assassination attempt upon the very life of the Grand General seemed to have succeeded...Moments earlier...As Nicademus began to drink his liquor brought to him by his service droid, he felt his comlink buzz as a communication came through. His eyebrow would go up at the transmission's origins. It was coming from Mariunhus and was classified as a top priority message from the Operative. The Imperial would click the button, letting the transmission be viewed. It was a little on the fritz, clearly this transmission was not in a good area. Yet the last few words would ring out in the silence of the room, causing the Grand General's heart to skip a beat....Repeat, 'service droid' assassination plan in motion.Nicademus felt his hand shake for a moment as fear began to grip his person. His eyes immediately darted upward to the service droid that seemed to have dropped its tray all of sudden. The droid's programming was suddenly overwritten within a matter of seconds as a virus, implanted by the IGBC, went into effect. The service droid had changed from kind and friendly to an assassination droid bent on one thing; killing Nicademus Delvardus.
The Imperial did not hesitate as he jumped from his chair, darting for the main entry. The service droid suddenly bolted after the Grand General, forcing Nic to pull out his blaster pistol and shot it square in the leg. The droid shrugged off the sudden blast, but its left leg was still injured in the process. It bounded for the Imperial, managing enough for the pistol be smacked out of the General's hands. Nicademus, despite being organic against a metal monster, ducked low, giving the droid a low-cut kick and causing it to lose balance and stumble back. His leg throbbing in pain, the General turned and rushed for the turbolift just down the hall. All the while, the droid screaming behind him.Come back, kind master! Come back and let me kill you!!Nicademus wasn't gonna die here, no way! He was gonna live; live to see his dream become a reality. The General slide on the floor, causing his throbbing leg to suddenly erupt in pain as it slammed against the wall, foot first. It seemed the droid had recently cleaned the floors, ensuring an escape would be a slippery and tricky one. The General slowly stood up, just as the droid came up and slammed its metal first into Nicademus' cheek. The bone cracked instantly, causing more pain to spawn within his body. He returned the favor with punch to the droid's face, causing its circuitry to be exposed, but bruising his hand badly. This service droid was a flimsy one; why on earth the IGBC would use this droid was beyond the General.
Once more the General aimed a firm kick with his good leg, causing the droid's right knee cap to cave in. The result caused the droid to slam onto the ground. Nicademus turned and ran for his life for the turbolift nearby. Yet as the door opened, he fell immediately to the ground when a firm grip grabbed his leg. The General turned to see the service droid, gripping his ankle and trying to pull him closer and away from the turbolift. Nicademus tried his best to reach for the control panel while kicking the droid in the face. That's when the General heard the droid begin a countdown.10... 9... 8...The General, with all his determination, to reach for the button to get the lift moving. His fingers falling just short of the main control panel. He didn't turn his gaze back at the assassin droid for one moment. His entire being focused upon escaping and living.7... 6... 5...The General, mustering what strength remained, managed to go the extra inch and press the control panel. The turbolift came to life, but the consequence was his ankle cracking loudly as the droid tried to keep his prey in check. Nicademus gritted his teeth, feeling the pain sheer through his nerves. He turned quickly and gave the droid one good kick, allowing his body to be freed for a split second as the doors closed.4... 3... 2...The lift began to move and shot downwards as Nicademus pulled himself to the farthest part of the lift, crawling to a safe distance. Without hesitation, the General covers his face, knowing what was to come. Yet for that split second, his eyes noticed Anya below him, just seconds before she was about to turn away and go meet Gavin. It seemed their planned spar didn't go as planned. If only she had gotten here earlier, perhaps this could have been avoided. Yet it seemed fate had a different plan in mind... perhaps, this was the end. Perhaps this was the end.1...Nicademus was forced against the floor of the lift as the explosion went off. The lift vibrated badly and suddenly lost power as it plummeted to the ground. The fail safes no longer operative with the explosion firing every single bit of circuitry within the walls. The General would fall into darkness just as the lift slammed into the ground. Silence would fall as the darkness took the Grand General. Yet even as darkness took over his vision, Nicademus could still hear the ringing of the explosion within his ears. He was not dead as the Chairman had hoped... not by a long shot.
Nicademus was right about one thing; this was the end. The end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one. The beginning of something greater than the General could have ever imagined or hoped for. Vision had gotten Delvardus this far and it was soon to propel genius upon the Grand General.

He was more than happy to see them back in the fold of the Imperial Remnant and would serve a great purpose in the days to come. Returning the Grand General's salute smartly after he has dismissed them once his orders were given, Nicolina and her platoon mates turn on their heels in unison and march neatly from his office to make their way back to where their division CO will be awaiting their report on what occurred in the meeting with Nicademus.
Only after they are back at the landing field where their division transports set down, and therefore out of the eyes of any public observers, do Nicolina and her platoon mates allow themselves to relax somewhat, ceasing their marching and removing their helmets. Characteristically one of the platoon's more verbose members, Solberg is the first to break the silence, running a hand through her chin length red hair as she says with her signature lop-sided grin, "Best and core of the division? That's us for sure! No way Talzuk doesn't send us, right?"
Nicolina, sharing her SSG's assessment of the situation, nods her head, agreeing, "No frakkin' way we aren't a part of this."
Not as chatty as the others, Gosse settles for grunting his own agreement.
Patting the burly Trandoshan on the shoulder, Solberg jokes, "Gotta love your way with words Gosse. I mean, really, you've got that whole eloquent thing mastered bro'."
Laughing with a shake of her head as Gosse merely grunts in reply to Solberg, Nicolina lifts her helmet back onto her head as they near where their division CO has set up his temporary HQ, and says, Can it and get ready to act like a professional Anika, I want you with me when I meet with Talzuk. Gosse, head back to where we set down and fill the squad leaders in so they can pass the word on down, and have them start getting ready to depart for High Port.
Not long after Nicolina meets with her division's CO and is dismissed, she and her platoon are back aboard their Larties and heading up to High Port Space Center to meet with Darth Rebellious. . .

It all happened fast to Anya. She didn't feel the surge of fear for her own emotions of Gavin getting back. It was the explosion that drew her in, her hands coming to her face as the shock wave sent her to the ground and tumbling over herself a bit. Her head then shot up to see the bit of flame that existed at where the top of the build once was. Stumbling to her feet, she quickly made her way towards the HQ.
She rushed over the bits of debris that littered the area as she made her way towards the smoking building, eager to get inside and find Nicademus. The rush through her mind hid the truth to her panic. It wasn't her duty that was pushing her forward, nor was it his position as Grand General. There was something else pushing her forward, drawing out her panic as she began pulling debris away from the building to get inside.

*Gavin noticed Anya notice him and start making a beeline for him. It was in that moment he felt it, the surgence of fear. It wasn't just any fear, but the fear for one's life, perhaps one of the strongest forms. It was his blood, his race that allowed him to so easily sense the rise that directed his attention towards the Imperial HQ. His eyes squinted as he wondered what caused such a stir before the first explosion.
He ducked his head slightly and raise and arm to protect his head from coming debris as well as the sudden burst of light. He didn't have the time to lower his hand as the second blast came, making him give at the knees a bit. Yet, despite the shock wave, he stood firmly against the ground as he lowered his arm and took in the sight. The building was smoking from the explosion, most of the top level had been blown off. It also made it clear to the feeling he had. The fear for one's followed by an explosion meant only an assassination attempt, one the person inside saw coming just seconds before. However, if fear arose it was possible, if slightly, the person inside survived if they made the attempt to get away.
As he looked upon the scene, he saw Anya quickly moving into the area, beating every team around. He knew she had been a guard for the emperor as an Imperial Knight, he knew she cared for the lives of others, but the way she moved suggested something personal. It was they way one moved when a particular person one cared about was in danger. Whoever was inside meant a lot to Anya. Taking a breath, he moved away from the ship, walking towards the building, being sure to stay out of the way of the teams trying to get inside.*

Like Gavin, Kia had sensed the sudden sensation of fear. However, she brushed it aside. She had grown tired of how sensitive she was to the flow of the Force. It took time, but she had gotten to a point that she could push it from her mind without much thought. At the current moment, her only thought was landing her ship.
She never got the chance as the building exploded. The shock wave, impacted the craft, and while it did no damage, it caused enough turbulence to jolt Kia's control allowing the craft to sway and tilt as she fought to get it back under control before it decided to lam into the ground. It took a few second, but the ship steadied out, her view now directly towards the HQ. She only gave a sigh as she shook her head.
"What have you gotten me into, Gavin?"
She stayed air born as she hit a few switches and directed the guns on her ship towards the building. If anyone attempted to flee that looked like they were responsible, she'd stop them.

The power had gone out, focrcing Stormtroopers switched on their helmet lights and thermal visions as dust was all over the corridors of the building. Debris could still be heard falling as personnel were evacuated from the building. Imperial officers were speculating that the build could fall; the force of the explosion and two within a short period of time could have weakened the foundation. Members of the Imperial Elite Guard rushed in to retrieve Nicademus, among their number was Anya...
As they ventured into the building, scanning the area, one Stormtrooper heard thuds coming the turbolift that ran along the right side of the building. Another said that he had witnessed the turbolift moving downward shortly before the explosion went off. A squad of them rushed for the turbolift, their helmet sensors picking up movement as they attempted to pry it open. A specialist was brought up with tools to loosen the turbolift's doors while another Stormtrooper accessed the control panel outside the door with minimal backup power.
Precious moments would pass before one of the doors managed to slide open wide enough for their visor lights to look in. Once more, they noticed movement close to the door. The troopers set down their rifles and began to force the door open some more, making enough room for a whole person to walk through. As the visor lights shined in once more, they would see the Grand General, holding the right side of his body. Blood rolling down the left side of his face. Despite his injuries, Nicademus was alright. Slowly the Imperial would stand up; a couple Stormtroopers helping the General to his feet and move out of the turbolift. For now, the General remained utterly quiet as he was taken from the wreckage of the turbolift. Slowly he was escorted away and towards the outside; his good eye catching Anya's appearance just outside his peripherals.
He coughed slightly, managing to speak to her in a low tone, forcing the best grin he could despite in how much pain Nicademus was in.
Seems we might have to put a rain check on that sparring match huh, Anya?

Anya stayed with the teams as the moved towards the lift and began prying it open. She could have gotten the doors open with much greater ease, but as many had said, the structure could have been weakened. Even coming from the lift, such a violent and sudden jerk could bring everything down around them. She waited patiently until the doors were finally opened enough and he was pulled out. As they passed her, she heard his words, she turned and followed close by.
"It seems so." She glanced back at the building as they made their way outside. "It seems you have been making friends again."
As they moved she saw Gavin waiting just outside. She nodded to him faintly but stuck Nicademus. Once everything checked out with him, she'd meet up with her father.

The Imperial Elite Guard squad brought Nicademus a safe distance from the building. A medical droid attempt to look at the General's wounds, but was politely, at first, refused. After a few more requests, the droid was forced to stop making such requests by Nicademus. There were more important things to worry about as Nicademus began to regain a more clear mind. At first, his eyes glanced over at Gavin, but his gaze was interrupted by the appearance of his brother, Artemis Delvardus, general of the Imperial 9th Army. His brother looks over at Nicademus for a moment before opening his mouth to speak. Yet the Grand General cuts him off immediately.
It was the IGBC, Artemis. I got a wind of their plot seconds before my service droid was hacked by a virus and turned into a living weapon.
Artemis remained silent as his brother spoke. Nicademus would glance over at Anya for a moment, looking at her for awhile before making up his mind on what needed to be done. His gaze turned once more to General Artemis. Slowly the Grand General forces himself to stand despite his injured leg. He stumbles a bit, but manages to gain enough balance to stand. His tone turned serious as he gave his orders.
Artemis... order what divisions we have Imperial 9th Army in Harnaidan to Mariunhus. I am giving my firm decision on this now... the IGBC shall be branded as traitors and aggressors. They have brought nothing but pain and suffering for their personal and selfish agendas. As of right now, the Banking Clan are declared enemies of Muunilist.
His eyes would turn once more to the IGBC building that was still on fire and smoking at the very top. He had hoped to not fight a war on this ravaged world, but the Banking Clan had forced his hand. And the Grand General would gladly give them the demise they were asking for.
Order the remaining legions to march on Mariunhus. We shall purge this blight once and for all, Artemis. And I want the IGBC exterminated and wiped out; I want no trace to be left of them... I want them to pay for their selfishness and attempts to force their authority over Muunilist. They wanted me dead, and that's enough justification to bring an end to this game once and for all.
Artemis did not even flinch at the orders nor hesitate. Calmly, his brother saluted Nicademus before immediately walking away to give the marching orders for battle. Within moments, word spread across the Imperial 9th Army as armored divisions and Stormtrooper units were being mobilized for battle. Warning sirens blared across the city, indicating a red alert status for the entire city. Nearby hangars began issuing forth squadrons of TIE fighters and shuttles as the muster went into full swing.
As the General sat back down, he turned to the medical droid and nodded to the machine, allowing it to approach him and begin mending him. For now, he remained quiet, knowing that he made the right decision in reaction to this threat. The General had no other choice now, the IGBC had to been terminated once and for all.

Seeing that things had begun to settle, Kia navigated her ship to the open area next to Gavin's freighter and landed. She continued to shake her head as she power down all the systems and made her way out of the cockpit, grabbing her sword as she did.
Descending down the ramp, she strapped the sword to her back as she walked up to Gavin. She didn't speak, but just followed his gaze towards the one they puled from the building and were currently tending to.

Anya looked up to Gavin as he stepped up beside her, giving him a nod before looking back at Nicademus. She had heard the words he passed to his brother, the army was to be made ready to finish off the IGBC. Despite the hardships the people had faced, she knew Nicademus would ensure they would remain out of the conflict. No doubt he knew where they were which would allow a more precise attack. Whatever, the path, she hoped it would end swiftly.
She motioned Gavin and Kia forward as she moved from her position up to Nicademus as the droid tended to him. "So they drew their hand after all."

Nicademus turns his eyes now to see Gavin and another woman join Anya. He sighs lightly before gritting his teeth slightly as the medical droid inspects his leg. The Grand General hoped he was in good condition to lead his Stormtroopers into battle. Battle thoughts set aside for a moment, the General returns his attention to Gavin.
Sorry about the mess, didn't give me much time to clean up. Seems you came at an inopportune moment to land on Muunilist, Gavin. My mentor told me that your visits were a lot more peaceful with him, even when you had Tyrana as a traveling companion.
Nicademus would lean back as the medical droid props his leg up and begins mending it. His eyes turn to Anya who drew closer to him. The Imperial sighs obviously and rubs his face a little, forgetting he still had blood on it. He looks at his bloodied glove and removes it, tossing it away.
The Chairman thought he was a crafty fox... he wouldn't have gotten far if he had succeeded.

She knelt down in front of him as she looked up at him with a small smirk and a shake of her head. "And now you wish to let him know of his failure to kill you by this mass army coming at him. I wonder if you might have drawn him out a little better by letting him believe he succeeded and everyone seeming to run around without leadership. Let him come to settle to chaos and regain control, to which you'd be waiting. Now he'll lock himself away and simply delay his end."

*Gavin listened to Anya's words, proud to see she had gained a tactical mind. He knew nothing in the long run of what had been going on, but from what he knew, he agreed with Anya's idea. Illusions and deceit was a type of battle he preferred if it could be done. Was possible to keep casualties near to none if done right. Of course, it was all dependent upon the reality if the enemy knew he failed.
Stepping forward a bit, he gave a nod.* "And what you you have me do to help bring this to an end?" *The question was random and was asked as if he was summoned to simply fight.*

At least he will trapped in his vault spire and not have a chance of escaping and using the populace of Harnaidan to his advantage.
Nicademus moves his head to the side slightly as the medical droid begins mending the torn tissue on the side of his head. His eyebrow twitches slightly for a moment as a serum is injected, ensuring that he doesn't feel any pain. The General turns his one good eye to Anya. It seemed his tactical mind or the Imperial Knight training was rubbing off on Anya's mind.
The vault spire will be his tomb. Harnaidan does not need to see war again, Anya. At least this way, the fighting is away from here.
His eyebrow went up as his peripherals noticed Gavin step forth and speak up.
You want to join in on this battle, Gavin? I got the impression that you stayed away from affairs that didn't directly involve you.

*Gavin's eyes stayed focus on Nicademus though he knew all eyes had been directed towards him, all wondering just what he was thinking.* "Indeed. Typically, that is the case and as a wanderer, very little ever involves me. But, some time ago, I crashed on Kashyyk, and while there, a gathering happened, which ended with Sinistra's arrival and request for help involving the Mando crusade. I joined and helped defend Kuat and was there into the formation of the Empire. I left, desiring to seek deeper knowledge, but offered my aid should they ever need it in payment for their hospitality. Not long ago, I encountered a Sith by the name of Andor who wished to recruit me into the Empire. While I wouldn't join, I made him aware of my offer of aid. The Empire, by what I can tell, is no more, yet that offer will stand, despite a new forming order, despite new leadership."

Nicademus remembered Andor from long ago, his High Inquisitor during the time of the Empire's restructuring. No word had been heard of Andor since those days and ever since the Sith departed for Thule, never to return. After a moment of silence, Nicademus would nod in consent to Gavin.
If that offer still stands, Gavin, then I shall accept your aid in this affair. Know that this is a task meant to exterminate all traces of the IGBC. No one, and I mean no one, of their ranks shall be left alive after this day. No one shall be shown mercy, amnesty or forgiveness. As they have attempted to kill my person to further their petty desires to exploit Muunilist once more, so shall I retaliate by terminating their existence.
He calmly waves the medical droid away after the rudimentary mending was completed. The Grand General rises and looks at Anya and Gavin, then at the new woman who was among them. He turned to look in the direction Mariunhus.
Prepare yourselves for battle, I must see to the deployment of my forces in the mean time...
=================================
The Imperial 9th Army, save the absent 24th Legion and the defending 19th Legion, began to mobilize. All barracks, hangars and armories were put on red alert status and given their mobilization orders, directly from the Grand General. Some 48,000 stormtroopers were armed for combat and prepared to march. From their orbital positions, a pair of Victory II-class Star Destroyers would hover over the city where they were loaded with a full complement of AT-ATs, AT-STs, and various elements of the Imperial 9th Army's Armored Division. Even Praetorian Group, the vanguard of the Grand General's finest and most elite stormtroopers, numbering 6,000, were deployed for battle. They would serve as an elite reserve that was boarded upon the hovering Victory II-class Star Destroyers.
Upon the outskirts of the city, a cloud of shuttles, gunships and combat barges rose into the sky. They were burdened with the presence of soldiers, mechanized units and all sorts of necessary personnel and equipment ready for battle. Nicademus, after being given the full extent of medical attention, joined his soldiers dressed in his usual Imperial officer outfit. For now, the Grand General would command the battle from the bridge of one of the Victory II-class Star Destroyers, Mordred, which held a full complement of Imperial Knights, ready for battle.
The general marching orders were given and the bulk of the Imperial 9th Army made its decisive move against Mariunhus. Today would seal the fate of the IGBC.

*Gavin said nothing more as Nicademus stood. He simply gave a nod before turning and heading for his freighter. Inside, he went to his quarters, removing his vest and sat on the floor and began to meditate. It had been years since he had engaged in battle, his mind outside the realm of the warrior. Decades had he been wandering, keeping himself disconnected. What had it granted him in the long run? Nothing but emptiness, everything he had worked for at the beginning of his life just cast away. It did nothing to honor the memories of those that fell in his place, those that he loved. It was time to step back into the light and find a new path for himself.
The time passed on as the army gathered. Gavin made no attempt to rise and join them, only continued his meditations for a bit longer before coming to. He took a steady breath as he stood to his feet. He was reestablishing his warrior spirit, though her lacked any reason for joining this fight. Whether that choice would haunt him or not was unknown, but it didn't matter.
He quickly put his vest back on before loading himself with his sabers. A saber one each leg, one on each side of his belt and one on the back side. He then grabbed his trench coat and put it on before grabbing a large sword a placing it on his back, using the Force to keep it in place.*

Anya made her way aboard Gavin's ship some time after Gavin offered his aid. She had taken the time to think things through herself and what she needed to do. It took a bit, but she had made the choice to fight with him. She stood in the door to his chambers, dressed now in black leather pants and boots and a long sleeve crimson zip up shirt. Her lightsaber hung from the right side of her belt as her chakrams rested on her legs. She clenched her fists tightly as she looked at him.
"I'm going with you. I know you and that you will not follow the flow of the troops. You will move ahead and strike with the force of a legion. And I will be there with you."

*Gavin looked to her with piercing ice blue eyes and shook his head.* "No, Anya. You need to stay here. You need not be involved with this."
