Designed off of the stolen Atmospheric Assault Lander employed by the First Order before those transports were phased out of former High Admiral Viox Savage's fleet, the Atmospheric Assault Troop Transport shared many of the same aesthetics, it, however, sported a more aggressive looking overall design and was meant to be significantly longer, sitting at almost double the length of the AAL-1971/9.1 employed by the First Order. Armed with two medium laser cannons mounted on either side of the trooper bay, it was lightly armed for a troop transport. Capable of carrying 32 troopers, plus two speeder bikes for recon purposes, the craft itself was crewed by a pilot and a gunner. Utilizing this design gave the Blackguard a dedicated troop transport craft, rather than having to rely solely on shuttles.
