Zalam closes his eyes as she strokes his mane, doing his utmost to endure and not purr.
I know I am asking a bit. You don't like doom and gloom, but when it comes to running people like this, Metis, you have to use such things to ensure they remain in line. You and your crew understand each other, but... I see people of various ambitions before me, moments ago. To keep them in line, you have to use... doom.
The male says, looking up at Metis. There was a reason why he led, for as Lord Ghaz, he knew how to ensure his subordinates toed the fine line as well as possible. It was either thrive or die. So, the element of doom was needed to ensure they understood those paths. Slowly, Zalam rose from her lap, turning on seat to pick up the mask.
Guess we could return. We still have a dance to have, don't we?
The half-Cathar says with a grin on his face.

If someone were ever to describe someone's face as "exploding with glee" it would be about Metis' face right when Zalam said he'd go back to the club and dance. Her eyes shown like the stars and her smile beamed like the twin suns at mid day. Leaping up from her chair, Metis half lead, half dragged the Cathar back to the Fortunate Sun. Now run up and get changed back into your 'Zalam' get-up, and I'll see you on the dance floor! Already Metis could feel the music beating in her like a heart and was starting to fully return to herself, the dread of Lord Ghaz no longer holding to her, she danced her way back inside and to the dance floor.

Zalam chuckled at the enthusiasm that Metis showed when he mentioned the dance that they left unfinished. From where he stood, when they returned to the Fortunate Sun, he watched as she rejoined the crowd and danced about. He watches a moment longer before returning to his office and beginning to get more comfortable with the idea of dancing in public. However, something caught his eye as he notices a message. Zalam brings it up, noticing the sender was from one of his agents.
Mustafar is unsafe. Unknown elements have come to the planet. Target is being diverted to Hypori, further intel to come.
Zalam's stern face comes forth as he deletes the message. A wrench in their plans, but it seemed that the problem was being corrected. Hopefully, it would help them nonetheless. For now, the Dark Sider would trust his minions to do their job. In the mean time, the male adjusted his attire and came downstairs, spotting Metis within a short while. He stands in plain view for her, crossing his arms slightly. Once she came up, Zalam offered a grin.
Your crew is giving me a curious look, Metis. Are you sure about this?

Once more, Metis drug the Cathar to where she wanted him, the middle of the dance floor. She ignored his worried question. Tonight was about having fun, he could go back to being the stuck up banker tomorrow if he wanted, but tonight was about dancing. Once more she took the position she had in the office. Her body pushing against his as she moved to the rhythm of the music. Her crew were watching with some amusement as she had finally done what she said she'd do every time they came back to Mos Eisley. One went to get a round of drinks for the crew and Scar. Metis, however, was content to keep dancing till Zalam stopped them.

It was... something different when Zalam joined in dancing with Metis before everyone who watched. There were plenty of jealous glares and irritated glances given those who pined for Metis on a daily basis, yet here a guy was getting what they always wanted! Maybe this was his apprentice making them jealous, but with how she acted, she wanted to have fun and, if that fun was with Zalam, then she would want the two of them to have fun. Following her advice from before, the half-Cathar moved with Metis quite well for a first time. The dancing lasted for quite some time, it was something that changed up the routine of Zalam and the change was welcomed. The dancing continue, in close proximity, with no end in sight, but Zalam could say that he had fun. Something he did not encounter much.
====================
Several hours later, the Fortunate Sun was pretty dead now as the establishment was closed for a time to clean up. Zalam had moved to his office upstairs, after the long dance with Metis, bringing a bottle of liquor from the bar so that he could have a drink. Quietly, the male sat in his chair, going over the earnings for that night. He pauses for a moment though, looking out the open door of his office as the sounds of a glass was being swept up down below. Slowly, he turns away, going back to his holo-screen, drinking from a glass of the reddish liquor Zalam had brought up.
However, he changes screens for a moment, re-reading the message from his agents and examining the intel of Hypori. A recording, sent by a spy vessel, of a derelict Lucrehulk floating over the planet. There was likely a good security system protecting the ship, but it was better than trying to haggle for a good price from a merchant who would likely try to play them for fools with their money.

At some point a small group entered the Fortunate Sun , two Weequay, accompanying three tall, hooded figures, one more feminine than the other two, who wore googles over their facer, hidden in stripes of fabric. Although not much was seen by the more oriental clothes of the feminine figure, glints of white skin along with the green eyes could indicate the true nature of her species if someone would pay close attention to this group in the midst of a busy cantina. Overall the group looked like it was composed out of typical criminals, especially the Weequay as they made their way forward towards the bar. When they halted at one of the tables, indicating that their leader wished to sit here the drunk smuggler sitting there at first tried to tell them to piss off as he waited here for a friend of his. However, the quickly drawn blaster from one of the hooded bodyguards made him change his mind, as he simply stood up in a hurry, leaving the place to make room for the new guests.
One of the Weequay meanwhile went towards the barkeeper. The stern look in his face made clear that he wasn't in the best mood. "Five drinks, the best you can offer.", he merely said, before leaning forward, "Lady Ti only wishes to see what would please her buiseness, so hope you got the message, aye?" The hidden message, delivered by a pirate of Kian Ti's crew couldn't be more obvious as gang leaders were careful when it came about meetings.

The dancing continue, in close proximity, with no end in sight, but Zalam could say that he had fun. Something he did not encounter much. The pair had danced well into the night, before Metis was worn out. She had been partying for most of the day and had only just returned from her last mission the night before. Once more, at the end of their last dance, she spun Zalam out and kissed his hand, giving a wink and mouthing a "Thank you!" over the din of the club. She'd then find a table with her crew and they'd drink the rest of the night away, gossiping and giggling at the suitors who thought to approach them. They had all at one point been slaves, but now they, for the most part, answered to themselves and would not waist their time with chauvinists like the ones who mostly stayed in the club this late. They were content to empty bottle after bottle of Corellian rum, till it was finally time to stagger back to their ship. ===================== Metis did not miss the group of five, particularly rough looking individuals that entered the club one day. She did recognize the tall ones for what they were, she had run some illegal contraband for a Kaminoan before but was always surprised to see them in this line of work. To her they always seemed so frail and thin, like a light breeze could knock them over. But she wasn't going to underestimate them, after all she used the similar preconceptions about herself to her advantage often. The Twi'lek made her way back to her booth from the dance floor (leaving a very disappointed human behind) and tuned in her wrist communicator and contacted Zalam.Hey boss, looks like we've got some extra-rough costumers in here tonight. Weequay, and if I'm right, some Kaminoans.

Zalam was in his office when Metis called to him. From the sounds of things below, the male had heard a small commotion occur. The message from his apprentice brought news of what was going on. Extra-rough customers and, from the sounds of things, they were all aliens. Quietly, the half-Cathar leaned back into his chair, pondering slightly on what to do. Seconds later, another chime came in from the barkeeper. The male spoke of five individuals, mirroring the ones Metis spoke of, and sounded like there was a business being brought to his establishment. Zalam answers with giving them five drinks, on the house, and courtesy of Lord Ghaz.
He flips channels, back to Metis, and relays a message back to her.
Approach them, Metis. I have ensured their drinks are on the house. Introduce yourself and make them understand that you were sent by me and that we can meet for business. Bring them to room 27. The holoprojector will be on there and I will make my appearance as Lord Ghaz.
Zalam keys off his communicator and rises, taking the mask of Ghaz, and disappearing down the hidden passage way in his room to an isolated holoprojector he would utilize to speak with these customers.

Metis switched off her communicator and then got up, grabbing her own drink from the table and sashaying toward the party at the bar. Many of the clients seemed to be giving the group a wide birth, so it was easy for Metis to slide in and take up a rather casual stance at the bar. With one are on the bar and supporting her as she leaned against it, she eyed the folks one more time, taking in all the details she could before speaking.
If you guys are here looking for a 'beneficial' time, then may I suggest you follow me to Room 27? I here their's someone eager to meet you there.
She had a playful smile and tone when delivering the message. Anyone not paying close attention would assume she was inviting them to something slightly less clandestine than what was surely about to happen. But Metis waited for their answer. Either way she would make her way back through the narrow hallways of the clubs private rooms to 27.

Metis would see that only two from the group had taken the drinks, they had ordered before. Another odd detail were the two other hooded figures next to the Kaminoan, as below the robes she could spot a metal hand while on another one metal armour below the chest. Most likely the two accompanying Lady Ti, as she was introduced, were droids, the actual bodyguards. Ordering the drinks was merely a coverup in case foes underestimated this obvious group. More than curious the Kaminoan looked up, her veiled face having an unnatural beauty as her clear, green eyes mustered the Twi'let in front of her interested. "Then I hope for a beneficial time and a meeting", she said within the typical voice of her people, before she stood up elegant, her two droid bodyguards following up, "Tok, Whistle, you'll wait here. And don't let the drinks go to waste." "Aye m'lady." The foul grin of the Weequay pirates was hard to miss, as they probably knew the procedure.
If one of the drinks was poisoned, nothing of importance was lost, the Kaminoan merely thought to herself as she followed Metis. Kian Ti so far assumed that the Jinn Cabal had so far no reason to assassinate her, yet she was always careful when it came to these matters. Too many enemies and people, who abused her in the past had taught her that it was always important to keep up her guard. The two IH-100 MagnaGuards from the storage, she had obtained a while ago were another of these security measures, as the individual programming of those units had improved over time. To disguise them wasn't too hard, as they were with their two meters nearly as tall as the average Kaminoans and a few other species - not that it made a difference in Mos Eisley, yet Ti always played safe. Nothing was more terrifying than shooting a bodyguard with a laser pistol, only to realize that it was more durable than yourself and kills you afterwards.

Once Kian Ti was shown to the room that Metis showed her too, it became obvious that no one was waiting. Yet, within a few seconds, the lights began to dim suddenly and a holo-projector, before the Kaminoan, would come to life. The blue image of a hooded man with a metallic mask, covering his face, came into few. A voice distorter altered his voice to keep Zalam's true identity an absolute secret. First, the unidentified male addressed Metis.
Good work, Metis. You have done well to ensure this was arranged.
Slowly, the mask turned to look directly at Kian Ti.
I am Lord Ghaz, leader of the Jinn Cabal. I was told that you seek business with me. Please, state your name and purpose.
Zalam, or rather Ghaz, was not going to let this drag out. It was going to be swift business.

The veiled Kaminoan leader looked towards the holocron, not necessarily impressed. In the end she had used this method often, when talking with others, including most recently the Hutt cartel. She noted Ghaz adressing the bar maid leading them in - so Metis her name was? Not an important detail for now, maybe for later. "Kian Ti, leader of the Ti Syndicate", she introduced herself calm and polite, as she stood before the holocron, "You might have heard from me and my crew members if you're not new to your... buiseness. Drugs, prisoners, ships, bodyguards ... we can offer anything and we will also buy - or take- anything I'd like to." She took her time for a brief moment, before she continiued on in order to let Ghaz know that she knew the rules of the criminal underworld so far. "But it might be your lucky day, Lord Ghaz, as I came in order to offer you my Syndicate's services", she then continiued, "I've heard rumors about you and your organisation and feel reminded of my own organisation. A quick rise from out of nowhere, a mysterious leader, not directly affiliated with the Hutts... for individuals like us there is always potential. The Hutts pay well... but they don't distinquish between their own elite and the rest of their pet courtyard. I'm replacable for them if they need to change payments for others, they favor. Everyone knows them, everyone likes to work with them, but not everyone might survive the cooperation. Your Cartel though might benefit from my services, giving me the unique opportunity as well to expand my own buiseness.
Therefore I suggest a cooperation, so to say, an alliance between us."

A cheerful smile graced Metis' face as Ghaz commended her. He was easier to tolerate via hologram. For now though she'd step back to the section of wall beside the door and wait. She'd wait to see if anything was needed, such as a more in depth tour of the club/headquarters for the Cabal. But for now she listened and watched the meeting progress. She was interested to see where this alliance would go. Or if Ghaz would be interested in forming one.

The holoimage flickers slightly after Kian Ti speaks.
So... you have seen the Cabal's posters and recruiters then.
Lord Ghaz speaks simply as the male falls silent. It was obvious that the leader of the Cabal was thinking upon the proposed alliance and business partnership, from the sounds of things. Kian was right about one thing, they were pawns to Hutt Cartels. Being independent had its risks, but they still had more freedom instead of paying taxes and fees to the greedy Hutts. He suspected the Syndicate was looking for a chance to gain that independence and progress into the galaxy.
I believe the objective, in mind, should prove useful to expanding your own business.
Lord Ghaz's image would vanish, revealing a Lucrehulk-class Battleship, an icon of the old Confederacy of Independent Systems.
The ideal acquisition for a mobile shadowport. A place for your business to be placed, become rooted, and thrive. If this interests you...
The image of Lord Ghaz returns, gazing directly at Kian Ti.
... then perhaps we can do business.

Ti eyed the image presented to her interested, glancing briefly to one of her own disguised bodyguards. She had never really seen a Lucrehulk Battleship closeup, but she was aware that these existed. The very same Separatist movement, which had produced the IG-100 Magnaguards, she had obtained in a shifty deal, possessed also some of these - yet if rumors are to be believed their systems get consumed by a more sinister faction. Her Syndicate had still to keep an eye open there for further opportunities, but given her own assets Kian Ti could relate to Lord Ghaz' project in some way. If he had the means to secure such a vessel on his own, it definitly spoke for him and his organisation. "Not as mobile as the Varn, but definitly an interesting choice", she commented his offer eventually, "With a fleet like mine patrolling nearby it could serve as a good hideout indeed. I must admit that your offer has caught my interest indeed, Lord Ghaz. The Syndicate would benefit that way from your alliance while vice versa we can provide additional fleet assets in order to protect this battlestation." Briefly she looked over to the Twi'lek to ensure that she wasn't an assassin, solely waiting for her time to aim for her Kaminoan head, yet Ti's paranoia came up briefly. She didn't know much of Lord Ghaz other than what she was witnessing currently, but there had already been good moments to kill her off right now if he would have wanted to do so. Not everyone is like Askar was, keep that in mind, Kian, she merely thought to herself in bitter reminder of her own past as a slave to the man, who pretty much formed her into the woman she was today.

While Metis was wearing her blaster at her side, it was far from where her hands and arms were crossed. When she noticed Kian look her way, she gave a wink and winning smile followed by a snap into a finger gun. She had seen people give her that look before during these kinds of meetings. It was just her way of reassuring them that she was just here for a good time and *probably* wouldn't be shooting them in the back.

Noticing the quite daring smile of the Twi'lek in near reach, Kian Ti' watched her reaction curiously before turning back to Lord Ghaz. "Other than that I appreciate the beauty of your assets", she then said, her dry grin hidden behind the veil she wore, "Your employee didn't lie when she promised me a beneficial time. A massage couldn't hurt as the journey was a long one, but I'm not complaining as long as we can reach an agreement. I pay well after all." The implications were unsubtle enough for Metis to think about it and the Kaminoan knew that. If that girl thought she could mess with her, she accepted the challenge by making her feel uncomfortable for a brief moment as well. She was probably just a regular employee here and those words might just scare her, so Ti didn't thought too much about it. In the end she complimented Lord Ghaz for his hospitality and that was after all the main message.

Once more, the holo-image flickers as Ghaz's mask turns slightly in the direction of Metis, then back to Kian.
You should be careful with your words, Kian Ti, for you speak to my apprentice. Many view Metis as a beautiful asset, but beauty can be such a perfect deception. Beauty can be such a double-edged sword if nurtured correctly... it's why Twi'leks are perfect as honed weapons. Be the blade that dives into the most unsuspecting of backs.
There was a veiled threat in the words of Lord Ghaz. And his words confirmed something further to the Kaminoan visitor involving the presence of two force sensitive persons, one of which led the Jinn Cabal. He was a rather serious man compared to the more laid-back Metis, but such a personality was a good way to keep people in line and ensure power over the ranks.
Suddenly, the holoimage went out, plunging the room into darkness for few moments. Slowly, the lights turned back on, and where the holoimage once was, sat the cloaked and masked Ghaz. Adorned in crimson cloak and his white mask having ascents of red and blue along the edges, Lord Ghaz eyed the visitor through the dark sockets of the mask. As a sign of trust, he had made an in-person appearance. His hand then extended to Kian Ti.
The Cabal will enjoy the boons provided by your Syndicate and you will reap in the rewards as promised... do we have a deal, Kian Ti?

Well, no, certainly more creative than Askar ever was. Kian Ti nearly cursed when she understood suddenly that Ghaz and his "apprentice" might be more than just regular individuals. Jedi! Or whatever. For a brief moment, Ti felt nervous despite herself being surrounded by supposed Jedi killers as bodyguards - yet to her relief Ghaz wasn't a psychopath like other cartel bosses she had witnessed in the past and thus she calmed herself down. However he did that, she neither wanted to know. Thus her eyes only narrowed down Ghaz, before she shook his hand in agreement. "We have a deal then", she replied benevolent, "You can count on my word that the Syndicate and its assets will serve you well. I will inform the gang leaders and captains of this decision soon enough and provide you the necessary frequences, if you wish a quick delivery, a ship or whatever you have in mind. There is only one rule: No pointless suicide missions! My men might be scum sometimes, but even scum can be useful to accomplish more difficult tasks. They know the risk and will gladly die if they know it's at least worth the try, but unlike other gang leaders I don't throw them to waste. But I feel like I don't need to tell you that, mylord." She lowered her head in respect.

Metis blushed as an illusion to her survives was made. Though she did give really good massages, and she cracked her knuckles, as if to say "Okay, where is it tense most?" But the conversation returned to business, and then her master dropped the bombshell that they were Force Users. If Kian looked back her way at any point, she would give an innocent shrug, before crossing her arms again. It looked like the meeting was wrapping up, now she'd just wait for her next orders.
