The shuttle made its approach from orbit headed straight for the city of Mos Eisely. It had been the request of the cargo to come here, which meant the person flipping the bill was seeking to hide from someone or looking to meet up with some questionable people. For no other reason would someone in their right mind come to a barren world such as this. But whatever the reason, it really didn't matter. He was getting paid to come here, and so long as the money was good and his life wasn't on the line, he'd haul anyone or anything anywhere. Finding an open docking bay, the ship settled down, though the power remained on. Activating the speaker system within the craft, he informed the single passenger he carried of their arrival.
"Alright, we've made it to Mos Eisely, as per the agreement. If you don't mind unloading as quickly as possible, I'd like to get out of here and make my way to someplace a little more populated."
The whole trip had the man drifting away to sleep as he was left alone with his thoughts. The years had certainly been rough on him and all he wanted to do was take a dirt nap. It wasn;t until the craft touched down and he was jolted a bit that he opened his eyes and looked around. It was then that he heard the voice of captain come over the speakers. Without a word, he gave a sigh and nodded his head. He had finally made it. Almost as far as he could go from anything of note and out of sight as well. It would be a good place to figure out what was next and to build himself back up.
Grabbing the small pack at his side, he made his way off the ship, crossing around to the cockpit to signal the pilot he had disembarked. No sooner than he gave a wave, the ship was in the air and making its way back into orbit. Another breath escaped his lips as he threw the back over his right shoulder and made his way into town, his expression gloomy at best.
As he stepped out into the open light, he could already feel the heat and felt miserable. His body slumped a bit as his head dropped with a low groan. Already he was regretting his choice, but then again, it seemed he regretted everything these days. One run of misfortune after another with seemingly no end in sight. That left him only one option to help alleviate the feeling for a time: a strong drink. With that in mind, he made his way down the street, looking for a good place.
Coming to a stop in front of a building, he read the name of the cantina: Fortunate Sun.
"Fortunate, huh? Unlikely, but at least it sounds good."
The name alone was what drew him in. Stepping inside, he could already hear the music of the cantina band. He really didn't care about it or any of the women that tended to the patrons' needs. Alcohol was his only desire now.
Dropping his bag down next to a stool, he took a seat at the bar and waited for the bartender to show up.

"We have a deal then", she replied benevolent, "You can count on my word that the Syndicate and its assets will serve you well. I will inform the gang leaders and captains of this decision soon enough and provide you the necessary frequences, if you wish a quick delivery, a ship or whatever you have in mind. There is only one rule: No pointless suicide missions! My men might be scum sometimes, but even scum can be useful to accomplish more difficult tasks. They know the risk and will gladly die if they know it's at least worth the try, but unlike other gang leaders I don't throw them to waste. But I feel like I don't need to tell you that, mylord." Ghaz stares at Kian with his white mask.I cannot promise if what we are facing could be suicidal. The ship, in question, looks like a floating hulk, but my scouts have detected movement and picked up poorly transmitted signals every now and then. I would like to preserve the manpower needed to make the ship run again. The masked half-Cathar rises. His mask turning slightly to Metis.Ensure our guests ship is looked after, food and board are given, and that the best liquor is made readily available."Fortunate, huh? Dropping his bag down next to a stool, he took a seat at the bar and waited for the bartender to show up. Loud footprints were heard as a Besalisk male, by the name of Crex, lumbered over to where Draven had situated himself. A menu was set on the table, indicating all that the Fortunate Sun had to offer. The gruff looking male stares down at the sitting visitor. What'cha want? The multi-armed humanoid inquired. Another patron waves his hand and Crex slaps the back of a male Twi'lek, nodding in the direction of the other customer so that Crex could handle the one in front of him.

"A hulk sounds like a tough target, but I have the assets to break it", Kian Ti replied confident, "I possess by chance some former Confederacy assets as well to say the least, therefore... if my pirates and I aren't enough to get rid of the majority of clankers left, the IG-droids will make sure of that." A mechanical sound was heard from one of Kian Ti's hooded bodyguards as it turned its head briefly towards their leader at the mention of the IG-series, before remaining silent again after realizing what was going on. With the meeting being nearly concluded, Ti looked now curiously towards Metis, allowing her to act as she was told by her master.

Metis nodded to Ghaz, acknowledging her task and that it would be taken care of. Raising a brow as one of the guards showed it's true nature as an IG unit. Once the time for the meeting to break up, she would lead Kian Ti from the room. Once back in the main part of the club, she'd signal one of the Cabal members in charge of running the club. The boss says to take care of this fine lady and her crew. Top shelf. And make sure their ship has a tune up and refuel. She'd then turn to Kian, Anything else I can do for you? Still interested in that massage?

*A little while later.*
Moving off the dance floor to get a drink, Metis noticed a new face at the bar. A new long face. Grimicing at the sight of a frown in her favorite place, she slid over and took a seat next to him. She flashed a winning smile to Crex, a good friend of hers, Put him on my tab, Crex. Oh, and get me a refill please, handsome. She turned her attention then to the brown haired stranger. And what's got you lookin' so down?

The boss says to take care of this fine lady and her crew. Top shelf. And make sure their ship has a tune up and refuel. She'd then turn to Kian, Anything else I can do for you? Still interested in that massage? In an nearly sounding amused tone she looked over to Metis at the mention of it. "I'm glad you haven't forgotten it." A brief pause followed, nearly challenging. "Yet I was slave long enough to find barely any enjoyment in you forcing to do such a task", she replied then abrupt, almost sounding bitter as she reflected upon her own past as they looked over the bar, "Droids, leave us for now." "Understood milady." As the two Magnaguards made their way back to the table of the Weequay pirates, them being busy with the generosities of what the Cabal has to offer them, Kian Ti stood there, actually lifting for the moment her veil, showing her true face - apart from her eyes it had the otherworldly beauty which most Kaminoans featured, the lips dry though only subtle highlighted by makeup. Turning towards Metis once more, she sighed. "Don't misjudge myself being open about my past not as compassion... Metis", she then continiued, "I solely want you to know that I killed a former syndicate leader in order to turn it into my own organization. Since your... master was open enough to trust me with details, you should know that I earned my reputation the hard way, like all of us. Maybe we share a similiar past, maybe I'm just a fool to assume so... in either way you should know that I don't look down upon people which I would assume as servants. I solely look down on those, who think of themselves better than me without knowing what I had to endure to get into the position I am now." Another pause. "Therefore if you wish to show me around, I'll leave it to you", she then offered friendly, "In either way I will report to Lord Ghaz that I appreciated your services, so no need for false curtesy. I appreciate it if people speak honest about their intentions as the plotting of the Huttese society can get on my nerves quickly."

Draven watched as Crex came over, asking him what he'd like. He had taken the time to glance over the menu, though, it was for nothing more than to appear interested. After a second that seemed like a debate, he finally gave his answer, his rough, low voice more of a drone, signifying his desire to drink away his thoughts.
"I'll take a glass of the strongesr thing you have."
Before the Besalisk could even step away to fix his drink, the upbeat and sweet voice drifted between the as a Twi'lek sat down beside him. His barely shifted as his eyes loojed her way. Someone deciding to pay for his drink? Some would say he was pretty lucky to suddenly have a beauty like her sliding next to him and offering such. But he didn't think so.
Letting off a faint scoff, he let his eyes fix themselves forward once more.
"The real question would be what isn't wrong. That and why it would even matter to you."

Metis shrugged. It was nice to get to know Kian Ti a little better, since they'd be working together. But the smile never left her face. I appreciate your candidness. But I like it when people underestimate me. It makes them easier to manipulate... Not that I was planning on doing that to you. I've just always been this... cheerful? I guess is the word for it? But please don't let that fool you, I've put plenty of rivals in the ground, so if you ever do need someone to watch your back, just give me a heads up. She then shrugged and gestured around the place. There really isn't too much more to it. Pretty standard club. I could show you where the business offices are, where Zalam the book keeper works, but otherwise if you've spent time in any club, you'll be able to find your way around. All the security are obviously part of the Cabal, so if you need anything and I'm not around, just ask one of them. Probably wont get the brightest answer, but they should be able to direct you to someone who can give you a better one.

Oh dear, Metis certainly had her work cut out for her with this one. The drinks soon arrived, and she blew a kiss to Crex before returning her focus to the man next to her. Well for starters, you're standing and have the capacity to order a drink, so hurrah for sapience. And second, because you look down in my favorite club, and I just cannot abide that without trying to cheer you up first. And I guess because you seem a little less like the type that usually come in here and it got me curious She gave a small shrug, and mocked pouting. But if you don't want any help, then at least enjoy the drinks. She made no move as if to leave, simply swiviled around on the stool and rested her back and elbows against the bar and watched the dancers while she sipped her drink.

Draven couldn't help but scoff a bit at Metris as the drinks arrived.
"A bit of a spunky one, aren't you?"
Taking hold of his drink, he knocked it back taking deep gulps and finishing half of it in a single go. Setting it down, he gaveva sigh.
"Alright, if you really want to know the list. I currently have no home to return to, no family or friends worth contacting, I left with only the barren dustball of a world to reside on out of sight from everyone, and constant nightmares that haunt my sleep and waking hours. How does that sound to you, princess?"
Lifting his glass again, he let his gaze get lost in the liquid as he thought back on those days. The training, the raids, the capture and abandonment, and the ceaseless torture. Even the brightest of thoughts from those days were greatly overshadowed by everything else.
Shaking the thoughts away, he finished off his drink before motioning for Crex to pour him another.

Metis chuckled lightly at the 'princess' remark. Sure she was beautiful and unnaturally lucky, but she was really no princess, nor would she want to be. But now this man had opened up to her, even if it was to just drive her away or make her uncomfortable. But no, now she was intrigued, and once more turned fully toward the man. Leaning forward on her stool, offering a view most would kill for. But that wasn't why she turned, she wanted to hear more about this man's sorry and sad life that brought him here.
How dramatic! And how, pray tell, did you end up in this dreadful state? Was it pirates? A cartel-you-ran-guns-for-but-your-conscience-got-the-better-of-you-and-you-dumped-your-last-shipment-to-save-the-city-of-widows-and-orphans-from-being-overrun-by-thugs? What? Your princess demands you tell her!

As Metis began talking, Draven took another swig of his newly refilled drink. He had hoped to push her off with his sacastic comment or the going on of such a terrible life. Instead, she was now leaned over towards him, eyes alight with intrigue.
His head turned towards her and just hung there as his eyes stayed locked on hers, amusement completely devoid in his stare. After a few moments he gave a sigh and shook his head, his attention turning back to the glass in front of him. He lifted it to take another drink but stopped.
"You really want to know, huh? You must really be bored or crazy. But whatever."
He took a quick sip before spinning the glass around in his hand.
"It certainly wasn't pirates. I was born into that life. A nice little happy family. We were good at what we did. But we wanted to take from those who possessed more valuable goods. Most cases, that circled aroubd the rich. But other times, it was Jedi and Sith. So, we trained a groupnof warriors to be capable of facing down the likes of a Force-user. I was one of them. And with that, our takes only grew. But so did the targets on our backs. Eventually, we went after a big haul from a Sith transport. Turned out to be a trap. We were good, but not good enough to take on such a large group. Some of my family died. Others fled. I was abandoned in our retreat. The only life that matters is your own, right? The Sith took me and worked their mind games on me, doing whatever they could to make talk and disclose the location of our base and their artifacts. At that point, I had no love for that 'family' of mine, but I wasn't gping to let the Sith break me either. For years I was their play thing. Physical torture, mental torture, you name it. I wager that before long, they stopped caring about their stuff and got off on the domination of power. That's a Sith for you, after all. Eventually, they all disappeared and I escaped. So yeah, hiding here where I figure I'm safe from them should they seek me out. Though they never leave. All that time is locked in my mind in endless nightmares."

Metis leaned back as the story was finished and gave him a thoughtful look. If he was telling the truth about his past, then he would certainly be of interest to Ghaz. One way or another. She stood up and leaned over toward the man. The Twi'lek put her lips so close to his ear they were almost touching. She'd then whisper in a voice most would reserve for inviting people to the bedroom, but there was more to it here.
I have someone who I know will want to meet you. So, way I see it, you can either crawl into that bottle and feel sorry for yourself, or you can follow me and get your new life started. If what you tell me about yourself is true.
She stood back up and stepped away before offering a hand to the man.
What d'ya say?

Draven barely turned his head as Metis moved closer and spoke into his ear. Not even a beat was missed as he continued to sip away on his drink in large gulps. All he had wanted was to come here and just disappear from the sight of others and lose himself in his love for the drink. And yet, not even ten minutes after landing, this girl was attempting to get him involved with something.
When she finally finished speaking, he only gave a sigh with a drop of his head.
"Listen, kid. All I want to do is enjoy my drink and be left alone. Why don't you find someone else to throw offers to."
He didn't even turn to look at her at that moment as he finished off another glass. In the span of a few moments, he had taken down three glasses and could already feel the effects of the alcohol. Which didn't help when he suddenly heard someone come up behind him.
"Hey, who do you think you are, coming in here and hogging Metis like this. You certainly don't deserve the pleasure of her company.
Draven sat straight for a minute before halfway turning to look at the group of three that had assembled. Coherency could already be seen fading from his eyes as he started to lean a bit out of his chair. The faintest of scoffs escaped his throat as he motioned towards the Twi'lek.
"By all means. Have at her. Save me the trouble of getting rid of her."
He then turned back around when he heard the questioning grunt that came from the man and felt him grow closer behind him.
"What? You saying she ain't good enough for you? You got some nerve." Draven didn't even seem to register the words, angering the man further. "Hey! I'm talking to you."
The man moved to grab Draven's shoulder. But the moment his hand touched down on his shirt, everything seemed to suddenly shift. Draven slipped out of his chair to his left, turning in a quick manner as his left hand came up and slipped behind the man's neck and shoved him down into the bar and his empty glass, causing it to break into his face. Stumbling a bit, he looked at the other two.
They looked back and forth, wondering about what to do. He took down their friend with ease, but he still looked as if he was under the influence of the alcohol. After a wave from Draven, the two rushed him. At that moment, his drunkness seemed to fade as he tilted his head to the side to dodge a punch. Draven's fist came up to punch the second man in the throat before arching over to hit his first assailant in the side of the neck. The first guy stumbled to the side as Draven stepped up to the second and grabbed his hand, spinning him into a flip to the floor. Regaining himself, the first guy attacked again only to meet a foot to the face from a spin kick, putting him on the ground.
Stumbling a bit, he looked at the three guys who were just barely stirring or scrambling in pain. He couldn't explain the feeling, but as unwanted as the fight was, it did provide a thrill. He then looked up to Metis.
"You know what? Count me in."

Metis rolled her eyes as the thugs stepped up to "defend her honor." But they did perform a purpose: it showed just how skilled this young man was at handling himself. She motioned for some of the guards. Get these scum out of here. Oh, wait! She dug around in the first ones pockets and produced his credit chips. Tossing a couple to Crex, Looks like they're paying for our drinks, and here. She tossed the rest to Draven. For your trouble. Now, you said something about being 'in?' She motioned for him to follow her as she started toward the back rooms. On the way she'd key up her wrist com and contact Scar. I've got a pretty strong prospect for you. Seems to handle himself well, even while three strong drinks in. Bringing him to the meetin' room.

Draven glanced around at the three that remained scattered around him. If they were good enough to get up, they certainly wasn't showing it. He then followed after Metis, catching the rest of the credits she had taken from one of them. He smirked a bit as he pocketed the credits and slightly stumbled after her. The adrenaline he gained from the short skirmish sobered him up a bit. But he was slightly curious as to who this person she wanted him to meet was.

Soon the pair arrived at room 27. The door slid open to reveal a dim, almost dark, private lounge. Metis motioned for the man to follow her. Speaking off... Hey, I never got your name? Those nurf herders went around shouting mine enough while you pummeled them, that now I'm at the disadvantage. As she leaned against the wall next to the door, she subtly signaled Scar that they had company.

Draven followed Metis into the private lounge, hands in his pocket as his body leaned forward, his face carried a slightly irritated expression. He may have agreed, but there still existed that desire to be left alone. It just happened to be the adrenaline and thrill of the fight overshadowed any of his previous feelings.
Not concerned about any glances that were cast his way, he disappeared behind the door as it closed behind him. When she asked his name, he stood straight before leaning back against the wall.
"Draven Heart."

When the door shut and Draven spoke his name, the lights came to life, revealing that the two were not alone. Sitting across the room was a cloaked figure, wearing a mask made of metal. When Zalam spoke, as Lord Ghaz, a voice emitter ensured his tone could not be matched up with just anyone.
Draven Heart.
The mask turns slightly to look at Metis.
Took you a bit long to get his name. You are usually faster than that.
A rare chuckle, through the static of the voice emitter, came through the mask. Lord Ghaz slowly turns back to the individual.
Metis tells me you are a... strong prospect. I was able to view your fight with one of the customers with my establishment. Drinks don't seem to phase your ability to handle yourself in one-on-one combat. Definitely need those skills to survive and thrive on Tatooine.
His hand then gestures to a seat.
How about a business proposal? Let you earn some money to get off this world.

Draven looked over to the masked man as the lights came on, seemingly unphased by the sudden appearance. He was never one to care for men who hid behind masks. It was this reason his eyes focused upon Ghaz a bit before blinking, his body starting to lean a bit due to the effects of the alcohol. Straightening himself, he took a deep breath.
"When you are expected to fight Sith, one needs to be capable of pushing passed things that can inhibit the mind. Makes some of their tricks useless in battle. Besides, compared to a real warrior, drunk patrons are easy enough to deal with, even while drunk."
As he was offered a seat, Draven moved over to it, though his eyes never once left the man.
"A proposal? What makes you think I'm looking for work, especially to get off this planet? After all, I came here."
He might have agreed to the prospect of doing a job, but it didn't mean he was going to just accept it without question. He might have been drunk, but he wasn't stupid.

A finger points at the culprit for how he knew. Lord Ghaz pointed directly at Metis who was nearby.
My apprentice told me... while you were neither listening and during your drink.
A chuckle emits, broken slightly from the voice emitter within his mask. Ghaz gives his full attention to Draven afterward.
You don't look like the kind to stay on this world though. Everyone has a reason to come to Tatooine and its rarely to settle down... even those born here dream of one day joining a crew or stowing away to find what lies beyond this desolate world.
Ghaz had set up his operation here, but always intended to find a means to expand and to leave Tatooine. There was a reason, among many, why he sought after the prize that the Cabal was planning to acquire. Slowly, the masked male would reached underneath his cloak, pulling out a bag with credits. It landed with a pretty solid thud onto the table before Draven.
Perhaps... a down payment might interest you in what I have to offer.

As Ghaz made mention of Metis informing him of Draven looking for work, his eyes drifted between the two before dropping his head. That and the mention of apprentice immediately made him believe they were both Force-sensitives. He had spent his life training to fight such beings and he he was, about to enter a job with them.
Leaning his head back, he rolled his eyes with a sigh.
"Look, pal. I came here to get away and not seeking any jobs." His hand slipped into a shirt and removed a flask from which he took a drink. After his swig, he pointed at the Cathar hidden behind the mask. "Agreeing to this is simply because why not." He took another drink as the bag of credits hit the table. It was true that he would eventually need money and deep down, he couldn’t deny wanting to get back to work. Putting it back he crossed his leg. "So what does this job entail?"
