Description:
The Veers-Class Legion Support Cruiser was crafted by some of the most brilliant ship design minds in the First Order. Unlike previous First Order designs, the Veers-class did not go for a strong attack or look to prioritise speed and agility. Instead, it was created as a literal flying Fortress. Its sole goal was to fly down to the surface of a planet and land, thus providing a First Order forward operating base. When operations needed it to move, it could then lift off and fly to its next landing zone.
With this in mind, the Veers-class was capabale of transporting and supporting a full Legion of Stormtroopers (8,000 Stormtroopers) and accompanying armoured divisions. For support, it had 60 Starfighters which could be deployed for space and in atmosphere operations. Medical Facilities onboard allowed the Veers to provide medical care for the troops that called it home as well as any units operating nearby when it was landed. It also featured an enhanced comms array to maintain lines of communication when landed and in enemy territory. Reinforced armour plating, tuned up shield generators and redundant shield generator arrays provided the Veers with a nigh impenetrable defensive shell.
