The Headquarters of the Inner Rim Imperium, and the Council Chambers
The High Council Chambers are located at the very top of the HQ spire, and contain the Council Room, Office of the Chief of State, as well as small private offices for each of the High Council members. Located one floor below is the Executive Annex, which contains the offices of the heads of the armed forces, intelligence, and security services, as well as the diplomatic corps and chancellor of the treasury.
Turbolifts open onto the Council Chamber itself, with offices all accessed directly from the central room, which has windows down one side, along the council's hardwood table and the luxurious seating. At one end of the chamber is a ceremonial throne for the Hapan Queen Mother. The room is brightly lit at need by high recessed illumination strips, and is light in colour and brightly decorated, though plainly, with little adornments or distractions.
The room is surrounded on the non windowed side by a parade of doors, each leading to a particular private office. These offices allow for members of the high council to make realtime private contact with their respective worlds should the need arise, as well as providing a work space. The Chief's office is larger, as it contains a residence apartment in addition to a reception area which shields the Chief's private office.
