Younger students are grouped together by affinity and even by age. It all depended on their choices.
Older students, however, could have their own room for privacy, each and everyone of those rooms were equipped according to the group or the student residing there.

Neither Saoirse nor Mahela say much during the tour of the academic and training building, mostly due to the fact that their tour guide, Nick, provides an almost non-stop running commentary that manages to be pretty informative despite the occasional non sequitur and even more frequent conversational detours that accompany it. A few of the detours, like the one about how some of the Masters have somehow forged some kind of link with the mists of Umgul that allows them to track people, are a bit confusing; Saoirse hadn't quite understood what Nick meant, but she and Mahela made the appropriate impressed noises and faces for Nick's sake, and Saoirse gave Atlantis a look that let him know she would have one more question for her list. The few times that Nick had paused for breath, Saoirse had thrown him a few questions she knew he would be able to field easily and make him feel important and appreciated; questions about his favorite classes and meals, where the best places to study were, and what there was to do for fun when he had free time.
Overall, Saoirse is left with an understanding of what Atlantis had meant when he said that whoever designed the academy for him knew him well; just like Atlantis has a personality that, even from the brief time she has known him, makes everyone feel at ease and welcomed, the academy had very obviously been planned out with the idea of making those that lived there or visited it would feel like a part of a community. The presence of several large communal study areas and shared spaces make the academy feel almost like a home for those residing in it, and Saoirse thinks that if Atlantis treats all of the students and other teachers like he does Nick and the others she has seen him interacting with, they are like family to him. Even Mahela seems impressed by the way both the academy's academic and training and residential building's interiors are mapped out and decorated, which she comments on in one of the breaks in Nick's running commentary.
Squatting down to be on Nick's level since he got down from Atlantis' shoulders at one point, Saoirse asks him, "So, which one should I pick, huh? when the time comes for her select one of the individual suites on the second floor. That one? she asks with a grin when Nick points to one of the rooms with a green light on the console, You sure? Ruffling Nick's hair, Saoirse stands and gives him a wink as she says, Let's check it out, buddy! before using her thumb to key in her biometrics. Whistling appreciatively as she gets her first look at the room, which has a decently sized open space she has no idea what she'll do with in addition to a bedroom and even her own refresher, Saoirse walks over to the window, looking out on the meditation garden, smiling happily as she tells Nick, Excellent choice, buddy! I love it!"
Mahela, standing beside Saoirse and looking out at the meditation gardens, which have what looks like the remains of an older structure which have been incorporated into one area, whispers to Saoirse, "Your own refresher? I'm jealous. Turning to Atlantis, she asks, Are those ruins out in the garden decorative, or part of a previous building that used to be here? Whoever designed and decorated the academy was very talented, she adds sincerely, It's lovely."
Nodding in agreement even though she winces a bit when Mahela mentions the academy's designer as she remembers the sadness in Atlantis' expression and tone when he had spoke of them when he first showed her the acacemy, Saoirse tries to move the conversation on to a different topic so Atlantis doesn't have much of a chance to dwell on the subject of the academy's design, squatting down as she asks Nick, So, buddy. What is the next stop on the tour, huh? Or have we seen everything there is to see?"

While Saoirse along with Mahela discovered the room that Saoirse had picked, Atlantis looked down at Nick with a proud smile, even placing his hands on his head. "You did great, and you are a great tour guide, thank you for doing this." He wasn't the type to shy away from congratulating people or showing his appreciation, and just the smile Atlantis got from them was perfect enough with him. Nick was smiling up at him happily, before Atlantis heard his datapad's warning him that he had received a message. Pulling it out and checking the content of it, Atlantis had that knowing smile, perhaps some or a lot would consider him to be a doofus from time to time, but it was just those type of messages coming from the person he loves, that appeased him.
Squatting down briefly, and whispering something into Nick's ear who in turned looked at him with wide eyes and opened mouth, Nick was just giddy all of a sudden, as Atlantis stood back up to his full height and looked at both of the friends in the room. While Mahela's question to him were from curiosity, her next comment just made him look down briefly with a nod. Breathing softly, knowing that he still had to move on in a way, and not let those simple things affect him, Atlantis just smiled and explained. "Umgul used to house another Jedi Order before I moved here. Well it was more of a satellite branch of the Emerald Order that were primarily located on Anobis." Looking at the ruin there that he had asked to be included to the Mist Order's Academy structure, Atlantis smiled faintly. "I was part of it back in the days, it's where I have met several people that have forged me, and it's also where I gained the rank of Master Jedi. So yes, prior to the construction of the Academy here, I had requested the Architect of the project to include it, if she could and she did, all of this is her."
Atlantis stopped there, and while he was somewhat aware that perhaps Saoirse, in her own way, just wanted to change the course of the conversation, Atlantis looked at both Saoirse, and Mahela while a droid was walking into the hallway with Saoirse's effects to deposit the boxes and her bags into her room. Atlantis stepped aside, as Nick happily scurried to the hovering platform to unload the items telekinetically to the ground and on the side. It was with an amused grin that Atlantis kept looking at the kid because he was very concentrated as he called upon the Force.
Putting a thumbs up and making a circle with his index, and thumb, to silently let him know that it was great, Atlantis looked at Saoirse and Mahela knowingly. "Right, I wanted to say, that I will be asking for another bed to be moved here," While perhaps this was going to be surprising, well they weren't really in that same situation where Saoirse was younger, and that she didn't have a life before finding out that she was attuned to the Force. "For when you want to bunk here from time to time Mahela." Atlantis meant those words, and he always saw through what he said. He after all knew that the two of them were good friends, even best friends. That out of the way though, Atlantis looked at Nickala nodding that he could go ahead.
Taking both Saoirse's and Mahela's hands, Nick beamed excitedly. "Food! We are going to the dining hall!" Walking ahead after making sure that everyone had what they needed, Nick led them to the dining hall to have lunch. He was particularly happier because he was made aware on who cooked today.

Saoirse gives NIck a wink and a thumbs up when she overhears Atlantis telling him that he did a good job playing tour guide for them, smiling as she agrees, "Best tour guide ever, lil' buddy!"
Mahela and Saoirse listen interestedly as Atlantis answers the question about the ruins that were incorporated into the gardens, which were part of an older structure that also housed a Jedi Order that was part of the Emerald Order that, as it turns out, Atlantis had been a part of, which explains why he would have requested that his architect friend include them. Saoirse wonders what the differences between the different Orders of Jedi might be, but adds that question to her already long list of them since a droid comes in with her stuff.
Impressed with Nick's telekinetic skills as he starts unloading her boxes and bags, Saoirse wonders absently how long it will be before she catches up with him in that area of using the Force, and grins and gives Nick a thumbs up after she sees Atlantis silently telling him he's doing a good job.
Saoirse looks a bit puzzled when Atlantis says they'll be adding another bed to her room, and then looks overjoyed when he explains the reason for the addition. "No.Way, Saoirse says, turning to Mahela and hugging her, Did you hear that! As Mahela nods with an amused smile to confirm that she had indeed heard what Atlantis has planned, looking grateful that Atlantis has made the gesture, Saoirse releases her and tells Atlantis, That is so . . . thank you so much! Shaking Mahela by the shoulders she says, We can keep up our Benduday tradition of watching Shili melodrama holovids!" One of the things that Saoirse and Mahela had bonded over after they had started studying together was an appreciation of the melodramas Shili was well known for producing, which Mahela had introduced her to, and watching a new one on the weekends has become one of their rituals.
Mahela, smiling as she is shaken about by her her excited friend, sensibly says, "Only if you don't have other things to do, and are caught up with your studies for here and the university. And only if Atlantis says it's okay." While she is happy that Atlantis has been thoughtful enough to think of the arrangement, Mahela has a sensible streak that tells her that Saoirse might be underestimating how hard it might be to keep up with her studies at the university and the academy, and would not want to play any role in her friend not succeeding in what she has set out to do, even if it means seeing each other less often.
Saoirse, rolling her eyes, sighs a playful, exasperated, "Yes, mother."
Mahela, shaking her head with a smile, looks over to Atlantis as she says, "Thank you very much, then playfully glances sidelong at Saoirse and adds, I promise not to come unless I know she's caught up with all she needs to be caught up on."
After poking her tongue out teasingly at Mahela, Saoirse smiles as Nick rushes over and takes her and Mahela's hands as he excitedly exclaims that their next stop will be the dining hall. Laughing as Nick, with Mahela on one side holding his hand and Saoirse on the other side doing the same, starts pulling them along, Saoirse says, "Lead the way, lil' buddy!" and turns to Atlantis and mouths silently so adorable, as they are tugged along by Nick to the dining hall.

Saoirse tosses her hooded outer robe on her bed upon returning to her room after the study group breaks up for the night, not surprised that she was lost for most of the study session. The younglings and older students in the group are all further along in their lessons, and so Saoirse found herself mostly listening as the others reviewed the history of the Jedi Order and quizzed one another for an upcoming test on negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution, which made her aware of the somewhat daunting but not entirely surprising fact that she will be learning about more than just hand to hand combat, Force abilities and lightsaber techniques since there is way more to being a Jedi than those things.
Nickala had helpfully downloaded several texts and other documents in audio format covering the topics the study group covered and will be covering the next time they meet, and Saoirse paces around the open area in her room while listening to a lesson about the beginnings of the Jedi Order, which was founded on Ahch-To by the Prime Jedi. As she listens to the lesson, Saoirse tries to practice telekinesis by attempting to divide her focus between listening and trying to telekinetically lift her bolo-ball from the floor. When she decides to call it a night a while later, Saoirse isn't sure how much of the history lesson she has managed to retain, and tries not to be too disappointed that she only manages to make the bolo-ball roll around a little rather than lift it, reminding herself that it will take time for her to become proficient in the ability just as it will for her to start becoming more skilled in the other things she is starting to learn.

"I don't know about this, Aidan, Bria Calvetti, a seventeen year old, tall, thin, athletically built, pale skinned Kage with long blonde hair and golden eyes protests as she strides quickly through the halls of the residential building after the excited tiny, winged Gupin flying ahead of her, Certainly you can wait until after the weekend to ask her to take a crack at the encrypted files we've found? Her friend is visiting, and . . ."
Shaking his head, the fifteen year old, red haired, leonine faced Gupin interrupts his fellow Jedi Padawan, "This could be time sensitive, you never know, and, besides, it might only take her a few minutes, so . . ."
"I hardly think Master Delgrave would have given us this assignment if it were of a time sensitive nature," Veda Lal, a voluptuous, olive complected, fifteen year old Pyn'gani Jedi Initiate with dark brown hair points out without any real hope of dissuading Aidan, who can be quite single-minded when it comes to completing tasks.
Predictably unswayed, Aidan stops in front of the door to Saoirse's quarters and looks over his shoulder with a grin as he raises a three fingered hand to rap on the door, "Master Delgrave might not know how pressing finding Lavigne and the mask he absconded with really is. Maybe he is just an art thief, maybe he is something more sinister. Trust me, this could be way bigger than he realizes," he says in as ominous a tone as he can manage as he knocks soundly on the door.

Saoirse and Mahela are in the middle of watching a dramedy holovid from Shili about an aspiring Togruta artisan living in the colony on Kiros that agrees to bear a child for a visiting couple seeking a surrogate mother that leads to a series of unexpected and amusing turns when the knocking interrupts them. Passing the bowl of Kat's Kettle Corn over to her friend and, standing and stretching her arms over her head, Saoirse asks her to pause the holovid while she sees who is knocking on the door.
Opening the door and seeing that she has not one but three visitors in the middle of the night, Padawans that she has seen around the academy a few times but has yet to meet properly, Saoirse smiles cheerfully, and a bit curiously as she naturally wonders what might have brought them to her door at such a late hour, and waves to greet them as she asks, "Um, what's up?" Knocks on doors or comlink calls in the middle of the night seldom bode well, but as Saoirse doesn't discern anything particularly worried or alarmed in any of the three's expressions or postures, her curiosity is piqued; while she and Atlantis have been working on honing her telepathic abilities, and it is tempting to try and practice them now in order to quickly determine why the three have come knocking now, she isn't quite sure that it might not be considered intrusive or rude and so settles for learning the why in the old fashioned way.

Wings fluttering excitedly as he soars past Saoirse when she opens the door, Aidan turns about to face her as he holds a datapad aloft in one three fingered fingered hand while gesturing expansively with the other, announcing, "There is a foul and dastardly, most sinister plot afoot! A plot, he points to Saoirse, you could very well prove to be instrumental in averting! With, he motions towards himself and then waves the hand to include Bria and Vida, our assistance of course! You see, there . . ."
Interrupting Aidan with a sigh, Bria chides him, "Manners, and then smiles as she tells Saoirse, Sorry to interrupt your time with your friend. I'm Bria and that ill mannered little thing. . ."
"Oi! Aida interrupts Bria's interruption, I'll have you know that I'm actually quite tall for a Gupin!"
"That's what you're objecting to? Veda asks in an amused tone as she moves past Saoirse, Bria and Aidan to sit on the edge of the couch, waving to Mahela as she introduces herself, I'm Bria. Nice to meet you! Looking at the paused holovid screen, she asks, What are you watching?"
"It was just a figure of speech, Aidan, Bria replies with another sigh, then tells Saoirse, As I was saying, and as I'm quite sure you've surmised by now, Aidan is here to request your assistance with . . ."
Aidan, fluttering his wings to move between Bria and Saoirse, waves his hands as he says, "Let me tell it! You see, Master Delgrave has tasked us with. . ."
Bria, resting the fingers of her left hand on her forehead while sighing, this time with a shake of her head, interrupts Aidan once more, telling Saoirse, "You'll have to forgive our tiny, little friend, he very often, which is to say nearly always, forgets to heed even basic common courtesy when . . ."
Aidan, crossing his arms over his chest as he flutters his wings to move over Saoirse's shoulder, protests, "I'm not that tiny. . ."
Veda, asking Mahela, "May I? before taking a handful of kettle corn and munching on it as she nods towards her friends, explaining apologetically, They're always like this."
As though Aidan had not interrupted, Bria continues, ". . . he is excited about something. It's a pleasure, she leans to the side to include Mahela as she goes on, to meet you both. We'd like to ask for your help with an assignment Master Delgrave has given us, when, she puts a hand up in front of Aidan as she senses he is bursting to get out his account of said task out, it is convenient for you, naturally. Tomorrow morning, perhaps?"
"But, Aidan protests, we're here now. Where is the harm in. . ."
"When, Bria repeats emphatically with a smile as she puts a hand over Aidan's mouth, it is convenient for her, Aidan."

Saoirse turns around after the winged redhead swooshes past her as soon as she opens the door, looking both amused and a bit confused as he immediately announces that there is something sinister going on that she might be able to help with. The winged guy, who, she finds out a little later when he and the blonde chick are going back and forth with one another non-stop, is a Gupin, is dramatic and the back and forth between him and the more sedate blonde is so funny that Saoirse has a hard time taking the situation seriously. Saoirse can also tell that the Gupin, Aidan, takes whatever it is that he needs her help with really, really seriously, and she knows what it is like to fixate on something to the point one is almost manic, so even though she finds him and the way everything happens after she opens the door amusing, she can sympathize with him a little.
Mahela, waving with a similarly perplexed and amused expression to the one Saoirse has on her face, tells Vida after the Pyn'gani introduces herself, replies by giving her own name, "Mahela, and then answering the question about what they had been watching, 'Kanani', explaining, It's a dramedy from Shili. A little later, when Veda asks if she can have some of the kettle corn, Mahela passes the bowl over to her, laughing when Veda explains that her friends are prone to talking over one another, nodding as she says, I have no trouble believing that at all."
Seizing upon the opportunity to break into the conversation that Bria's insistence that Adian waits until it is convenient for everyone to explain what he wants, Saoirse raises a hand and grins as she says, "Now's totally fine, looking over her shoulder to see if Mahela has any objection to the interruption and smiling as the Togruta nods with an expression that lets her know she isn't bothered. Turning back to Aidan and Bria, Saoirse says, Like Aidan said, you're all here now, and after all of the set up I'm not sure I could wait to learn what this is all about. Nodding her chin towards the datapad Aidan had been waving around, making it seem likely that it involved somehow, Saoirse asks, Something to do with that, I assume?"

Aidan smiles triumphantly when Saoirse says that she is ofine with discussing things now, "Ha! Excellent deduction! Waving the datapad around, he explains, This innocuous little device, you see, was in fact recovered from our dastardly quarry's apartment after he narrowly escaped from a daring police attempt to bring him into custody. Flapping his wings to move closer to Saoirse, he hands her the datapad as he continues, It's password protected, of course, and we figured, with your background in cyberstuff, you might be able to crack it and get us a look at whatever dark and nefarious . . . "
Sighing, Aidan's propensity for long winded explanations irritating her, Bria says, "We're hoping something in there will lead us to where Lavigne, the primary suspect in the theft of an antique mask we believe may have . . ."
Aidan, interrupting, grouses, "Oh, don't let her skepticism fool you, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the mask has sinister origins, rooted no doubt in the Darkside. Turning around in midair to face Bria, he crosses his arms over his chest and says, If you would listen to my suggestion, we could confirm that quite easily, I mean we have at our disposal an expert on all things. . ."
Shaking her head, Bria says, "I don't think Master Delgrave would approve, at all, of having Mister Ent. . ."
Lifting a finger to his lips, Aidan hisses in a hushed tone, "Don't say the name, just say He Who Must Not Be Named or something! Turning to Saioirse he says quickly in an attempt to avoid being interrupted, Right, anyway, if you could get us a peek at the contents of the datapad, it could be instrumental in furthering our investigation and thwarting whatever malicious and . . ."
Veda, tossing a piece of kettle corn up and catching it in her mouth, helpfully tells Saoirse, "Basically, we just want to know if you can get into the datapad."

Saoirse takes the datapad from Aidan when he hands it to her, nodding when he explains that it is password protected. "Well, it will depend on whether your guy set up security that continues to protect his files outside of . . ." Trailing off when she sees that Aidan and Bria are off a tangent, Saoirse smiles and walks over to her desk and gets her own customized datapad and connects it to Lavigne's via a USB cable. Security protections are in layers, some portable while others are not, and so long as Lavigne hasn't encrypted his drive with security that protects it outside of his system, Saoirse should be able to access it and anything on it that isn't that isn't protected with additional security layers.
Mahela, following along with Bria and Aidan's back and forth more than Saoirse, who is absorbed in doing her thing with the datapads, asks Veda, "Who is the person who cannot be named? From the context of the conversation, Mahela assumes that the person is someone knowledgeable about artifacts connected to Dark Side Force users, and so she ask Veda, And why does Aidan think the mask is associated with the Dark Side?"

Aidan, abandoning his latest debate with Bria when he sees that Saoirse is working away on the datapad, flutters over to hover over her shoulder, excitedly asking, "Are you in? What have you found? Look for anything having to do with masks, he adds hopefully, peering over her shoulder to see what she is doing, or, hmmm. . . also try Darth, Dark, Plan, Lord. . . "
Resting her forehead in her palm, Bria sighs, "Really, Aidan? Just let her work, I'm sure she doesn't need you shouting out ridiculous . . ."
"I'm helping, Aidan protests, telling Saoirse as he points at the screen of her datapad, Oh! Check his search history too, that might be useful."
Veda passes the bowl of kettle corn back to Mahela, saying, "Any more and I think I will pop, before answering her questions, There is a long answer and a short answer to your first question, looking over at Aidan and Bria to make sure they are still focused on Saoirse as both would more likely than not jump in were they to overhear her before continuing, The short answer is that He Who Must Not Be Named is a Darksider that caused a great deal of trouble for Umgul before being captured by the Mist Order, who decided to give him a chance at rehabilitation. As for why Aidan believes the mask has some kind of connection to the Dark Side, let us just say that he is very keen on proving himself and therefore prone to seeing plots and conspiracies everywhere. Then again, she muses aloud, there is an old saying about even broken chronos being right at times."

Saoirse smiles as Aidan starts calling out amusing suggestions about what kinds of files she should be looking for, wondering if the blatantly obvious choices he offers are meant in jest since she can't imagine anyone being as dense as they would have to be to make it easy to find evidence of their crimes. Trying not to sound too amused, Saoirse shakes her head as she says, "Um, nothing is jumping out in his files, she decides a more thorough search can wait until later after Aidan suggests they check the search history, telling him, Let's take a look at what he's been up to on the holonet and see if that turns anything up."
Scrolling through the holonet search history, Saoirse says, "Looks like your guy mostly used his datapad for banking and holonet mail, then scratches the side of her head below one of her vestigial horns while bringing up the banking site that their mask thief uses, Maybe he saved his password, then smiles as it turns out that is the case, Hmm, let's see what the recent transactions were. After scrolling through the thief's bank transactions, Saoirse frowns and says, Nothing is jumping out here either. Some credit deposits under the reporting limit, and he withdrew most of his funds recently in amounts under the limit too. Nothing in the past three days though. Remembering that one of the items in the search history was a holonet mailing site, Saoirse suggests, We could check his mail easy enough if he saved that password too."
Mahela frowns skeptically when Veda explains that the not to be named individual is being rehabilitated, finding the idea a bit improbable given what little she knows about Dark Side aligned Force users, but decides not to comment since Veda, like most of the Mist Order from what Saoirse has told her, does not seem inclined to give full answers to many questions, while what answers are given seem vague and cryptic. Aidan, even in the brief time that has passed since he came to ask for Saoirse's help, fits Veda's description perfectly, seeming eager to uncover a sinister plot related to the stolen mask. "Would he really have been given this assignment if it was as dangerous as he wants to believe it is?" she asks Veda, sounding mildly concerned since Saoirse is now involved in the investigation, even if it is only in a supportive capacity.

Aidan is a little disappointed that the initial search of the files on the datapad does not prove particularly useful, but perks back up when Saoirse is able to get into Lavigne's banking records. "Ah ha! Three days ago was right before the raid on our dastardly quarry's domicile! He must have known, somehow, that we were on his heels! No doubt some kind of Dark side fueled premoni. . ."
Bria sighs, shaking her head, "Or it could have simply been that the Umgul PD announced in a press conference that they were investigating the theft of the mask. There is no evidence pointing to Lavigne being a Force user, after all. The more likely scenario is that . . ."
Aidan lifts a finger into the air, "I know that Lavigne is not a Force user. I was suggesting that whatever foul and sinister Dark side aligned forces that hired him to steal the mask had used their fell arts to pierce the veils of . . ."
Bria rolls her eyes, "There is absolutely no evidence supporting your theory about . . ."
Aidan, crosses his arms over his chest stubbornly, "As yet, that may be true. Returning his attention to Saoirse, he sees that she has successfully accessed his holonet mail accounts and is going through the recent activity. As Saoirse opens one of the messages in the sent folder, Aidan pats her shoulders excitedly as he points at the screen, That's it! That's the malevolent mask! He must have sent that to his foul, vile buyer or employer as proof that he had acquired it. Frowning in though as he sees that there is no message, and that the intended recipient of the message is not something as convenient as a name, Aidan asks, Can you find out who the message was sent to, or, better yet, their physical location?"
Veda smiles reassuringly when Mahela asks if the task Aidan has been given might put him in harm's way, "Well, while Aidan is close to completing his Trials, and therefore needs to be prepared for dangerous assignments, this particular one is just to find Lavigne, who is an art and antiquities thief with no record of being violent. I'm sure that, if Aidan were to track him down, apprehending him would not be very dangerous at all. And, she adds, guessing that Mahela is worried for her friend, Aidan is only asking for Saoirse's help in determining if anything on the datapad can be used to locate Lavigne, so you needn't worry about her safety."

Saoirse could go into a long winded explanation of IP addresses, network cards, metadata and VPNs, but as the answer to the question about being able to find either the identity or location of the recipient of the holonet message Lavigne sent would ultimately boil down to a no, decides to spare Aidan and the others from a lot of techno babble and just shakes her head and says, "No, unfortunately I think we're at a bit of a dead end as far as learning anything about whoever the image of the mask was sent to. And, Saoirse leans back in her chair and rolls her neck from side to side while rubbing her right shoulder, since there hasn't been any activity on Lavigne's banking or holonet accounts since the image was sent, we're at square one as far as finding him as well."
Spinning the datapad around in circles on the desk, Saoirse asks, "Do you have any idea why someone would want the mask? Maybe that could give us an idea about who might have wanted it?"
Mahela looks relieved when Veda explains that Aidan's suspect is not considered to be dangerous, and that Saoirse will not be doing anything more than finding out what she can from the datapad. "It doesn't sound like she was very successful, Mahela says after listening in on what Saoirse tells Aidan, frowning just a little as she notes that Saoirse is using the word we a lot, suggesting that she might be interested in participating in the ongoing search for Lavigne. And if I know her as well as I think I do, Mahela sighs, Aidan might have just found himself another partner in his investigation."

Aidan, arms crossed over his chest with his right hand lifted to rest under his chin, frowns pensively after Saoirse concludes the datapad, which had seemed so promising when it was recovered from Lavigne's apartment, is a dead end, answers her question about the possible reasons someone might want the mask, "My theory? It is a Sith or Darkside artifact. See, the spirits of some Sith or Darksiders can live on through their masks. Groups like the Acolytes of the Beyond would seek out such artifacts, either to commune with the spirits or try to claim their power. Sometimes the spirits could even possess individuals. I think either a Dark Side aligned individual or a group hired Lavigne to acquire the mask."
Bria clarifies, "We aren't even sure the mask is a Dark Side artifact, so it's . . ."
Aidan nods, "A theory, yes, I said that already, Bria. One I think He Who Must Not Be Named could very easily confirm or refute. He was a collector of such artifacts himself, before his capture. Snapping his fingers, Aidan adds, He might also have an idea of how to get into contact with some of his former underworld contacts that might be able to help track Lavigne down."
Bria frowns, "I don't know, Aidan, from what I understand he gave Umgul PD the names and locations of those kinds of individuals after his arrest. There were some that only his . . ."
Nodding, undeterred, Aidan says, "His criminal associates, yes, I'm talking about the ones that fell into a more morally gray category. Individuals with an ear to the ground, a finger on the pulse of the underworld who don't go dipping their toes into that pond."
Shrugging, Bria concedes, "It might be worth looking into. Remember, he's been out of that world for years now, so. . ."
Aidan nods impatiently, "Right, of course, but, as you said, it can't hurt to run it by him and see what he can tell us about the mask."
Bria sighs, reluctantly accepting that Aidan seems to have his mind made up, "I still think Masters Delgrave and Vyridian would not . . ."
Aidan waves away Bria's concern, "They encourage teamwork, remember, and utilizing any assets available here at the academy. He Who Must Not Be Named fits both categories, kind of. Turning to face Saoirse, he asks, Want to come along?"
Veda smiles when Mahela suggests that Saoirse might be joining their investigation, nodding towards where Aidan, Bria and Saoirse are speaking together, "It sounds like you know her every bit as well as you think. Patting the Togruta's shoulder, she reassures her, Don't worry, we'll make sure she is not ever in any danger, I promise."

As Aidan explains his theory about the mask, Saoirse understands why Bria has seemed less enthusiastic about than her friend, and wonders if she should get any more involved than she has. She has only been training as a Jedi Initiate for a short time, and doubts that she is ready to help Aidan, Bria and Veda chase down a thief, much less any darksiders that may or may not have been the ones to hire Lavigne to steal the mask.
Drumming her fingertips on the edge of her desk as she considers how to reply to Aidan's invitation to join him when he talks to the mysterious not to be named dude, Saoirse shrugs after a moment and, as she sees no harm in listening to whatever not to be named has to say, replies, "Yeah, okay, I'm in. For the talking to not to be named guy anyway. I'm not sure about the rest. Guessing that it is too late to do the talking now, Saoirse suggests, Why don't we meet up for breakfast, then go talk to him?"
Mahela, looking a bit relieved that Saoirse seems to only be considering going with Aidan to talk with the man they refuse to name, tells Veda, "I appreciate you looking out for her," hoping that Veda is able to keep her promise even though she understands that if Saoirse is going to be a Jedi someday, being in danger will probably be a more regular occurrence than she likes to think about for too long.

Aidan looks pleased when Saoirse says that she would be interested in meeting with He Who Must Not Be Named, but frowns a bit in disappointment when she suggests that they wait until the following morning to do so given that he is the sort to do things as soon as he decides upon a particular course of action, and so he says, "You know, there is that old saying about there being no time like the present, so I . . ."
Bria, interrupting Aidan before he can try and convince everyone that it would be better not to wait until the morning, says pointedly, "Aidan, why don't we let Saoirse and her friend enjoy what is left of their evening? I think we have interrupted their time together long enough, don't you?"
Scratching the back of his head a bit sheepishly as he realizes that his friend has a good point, Aidan replies, "Oh, right, yes, of course. Smiling and holding out his tiny, three fingered hand for a shake, the red haired Gupin tells Saoirse, Tomorrow after breakfast it is! Thank you for your help with the datapad, Saoirse. Hopefully the next stage of our investigation will prove more fruitful."
Bria gives Saoirse and then Mahela a bow, telling them, "Thank you so much for your time, and we are very sorry to have interrupted your time together."
Veda, standing up, smiles as she tells Mahela, "Don't mention it, and then joins her friends as they make their way from the room, stopping to wave farewell before she exits, It was nice meeting you both. Enjoy the rest of your movie, she adds before telling Mahela, You will have to tell me how it ends tomorrow at breakfast," and then closes the door behind her as she follows Aidan and Bria into the hall outside.

Saoirse smiles as she shakes Aidan's hand, telling him, "I just wish I could have been more help. Returning the bow from Bria, Saoirse shrugs and says, Oh, it wasn't really that big of an interruption, so don't sweat it."
Mahela nods, telling Veda, "I will fill you in on how it ends over breakfast, and then waves as the three young Jedi students leave. Patting the couch cushion beside her and holding out the bowl of Kat's Kettle Corn as she tells Saoirse, We left a little bit for you."
Plopping onto the couch and curling her legs up underneath her as she takes the bowl and looks into it, Saoirse passes Mahela the holovid player remote as she jokes with an amused grin, "A little is right. Should I make some more?"
Mahela starts the holovid back up and shakes her head, "I have officially had enough, but if you want some more go right ahead.."
Saoirse doesn't think she will be hungry enough to eat much more of the Kettle Corn than there is left in the bowl and so just settles herself more comfortably on the couch, finding herself getting absorbed in the dramedy as it resumes. Saoirse and Mahela talk about the holovid for a while after it ends, and then wind up talking about this or that until they realize how few hours they have to sleep before the morning comes and finally go to sleep.

Saoirse and Mahela finally manage to stop laughing about Aidan's unnecessary reassurance that his comment about her needing a shower had not been his attempt at flirting by they time they get to her room. As they go into her room, Saoirse asks Mahela, "Oh, hey, what was Mace telling you to remember?"
Mahela, staring to pack up her things, smiles and says, "Just that I am welcome here any time," omitting the Kiffar's comment about if things were too tough on campus as she doesn't want her friend to worry about the reasons the comment would have been added in the first place. Mahela likes to think of herself as self-sufficient, and has dealt with enough ignorance or intolerance in her lifetime that it no longer cuts as deeply as it once did when she encounters it, but knowing that she now has the academy as a sanctuary available to her at any time is a comforting thought.
"Atlantis pretty much told you that already, Saoirse points out excitedly as she helps her friend pack, so maybe now that Mace said it too you can quit worrying about interrupting my learning and only coming on weekends! You could help me study during the week sometimes, we could hang out more . . ."
Mahela shakes her head with a laugh, "Don't get too carried away, I will still worry about being a distraction, and want to make sure you are caught up with everything before coming by."
Rolling her eyes, Saoirse huffs and jokes, "Yes Mom, I will keep up with all of my homework, clean my room, and do all of my chores."
Finished packing, Mahela brushes her right head tail off her shoulder so it is not crushed by the strap of her backpack as she asks, "Speaking of chores, did Atlantis ever come up with something for you to do around the academy to earn your keep?"
Heading into the halls to walk Mahela to her airspeeder, Saoirse scratches the spot below one of her vestigial horns as she says, "Not yet, then narrows her eyes as she thinks about the matter for a moment before saying, He never mentions it either, so I bet he was hoping I'd forget."
Mahela smiles, asking, "Did you?"
Saoirse grins as they exit the building and start walking towards her friend's airspeeder, admitting, "Sure did. With all of the excitement of learning things here about the Force and other stuff it totally slipped my mind. Thanks for reminding me."
Waving a moment later as Mahela takes her airspeeder up and then starts the trip back to campus, Saoirse shades her eyes with a hand and watches the vehicle flying away until it is out of view and then heads back to her room to get showered and changed before going to meet back up with Aidan, Bria and Veda.
