Invasion of Byss
Event Start Date : September 1, 2022   IC Story:
For too long, the Ren have infested what was once the stronghold of Lord Nexus; the Deep Core world of Byss. This can no longer be allowed to stand. It has been made abundantly clear that the Order of Ren will not give up control of the system, nor will their overlords the First Order stand by while Byss is attacked. Diplomatic avenues have been exhausted, and now all that remains is Star Wars.
There has been an initial scouting run utilizing probe droids to map the system, take note of local security and monitor communications frequencies. Not sure if I'll join up with Jenia or Salvatore yet (the later is more likely, though of course Jenia in her position as Grand Admiral can technically be present everywhere, I guess), but I'd be in on the defender's side.

Jenia is a confirmed. I have pinged a couple of Ren who may want to be involved and others who I believe would want to join in.
In my regards, I would like there to be an adherence to Open Rules. Right now, there is no desire for anything special on the defenders side.
The only 'exception' thought of is that if Jenia wants both Salvatore and Jenia there, she would put a fleet together of both character's ships, but keep it to the restricted 256 point limit. That way, there is a presence for both; the Grand Admiral being a defender of the FO while Salvatore is a dirty Ren loyalist and operates in the Deep Core.

Not to mention that it would hardly be a tactical advantage either.
If I let Salvatore join on the fun, it's most likely with one of the Kasalle Company Convoy Galleons and their starfighter compliment, consisting out of TIE Harbingers and a few Demolishers - still something to worry about in certain situations, but more of a fluff ship, while most of the focus remains on Jenia's core fleet.
Salvatore would solely be there due to their House's allegiance towards the Ren.

As it happens a few of my other RPs have stalled/slowed, guess that makes sense what with it being the summer. So it looks like I can participate after all.
I'll be doing so for the FO as Nem Yin. I won't be getting involved in any fleet stuff, but I'm down for some ground combat.

It might just be better not to give a specific date, but rather just see who is ready and available when the time comes. I know right now, Jenia is dealing with COVID and who knows when she will be fully recovered after all. Plus, for me, I am looking to be gone that very weekend to try and go on a vacation I missed out on due to my bout with COVID in June.
