Description:
The Sprinter-Class Caravel is a relatively recent design by the Corellian Engineering Corporation making an attempt at an entry level Freighter. Whereas the YT-1300 line and similar vessels were intended for more intermediate commercial use, The Sprinter-Class was more minimally equipped. Sturdy hull armour and a decent shield provided it with a good defence, however in its base configuration the Sprinter-Class came equipped only with a pair of gimbal mounted Laser Cannons. Storage space within was decent with a haulage maximum weight of 50 tons. Sprinter-Class stock configuration comes with a Lifeboat Micro Fighter, however some owners have been known to forsake the Micro Fighter in exchange for equipping a Rear Cannon Emplacement in the truck bed like space the Fighter would otherwise occupy. The most common weapon mounts tend to be Frigate grade Dual Turbolasers or Dual Ion Cannons. The Sprinter-Class feature very spartan shared crew quarters, with five bunks.
