Garden of Yun-Ne'Shel Crystal Spire of the Countess of Delphi (aka Shaping Spire, The Coral-Lands) Occupant: Master Shaper Mira Yim, Custodian of Ossus A bargain was struck between the Jedi Lords of Ossus and the Reborn Praetorite Vong to continue the Ossus Project, started many years ago but never before completed, a monumental task of restoring the planet's biome using Yuuzhan Vong bioengineering and terraforming technology. A crystal seed ship, known as a Sh'rip Sh'pa in the Yuuzhan Vong language, departed from the sentient planet of Zonama Sekot carrying the tools and materials to create life. This living vessel, named the Fecund Fortress, descended to Ossus' surface and buried itself deep in the ground, extending its roots into the planet's very crust. Shortly after four seedling pods carrying damuteks, organic structures purposed to various tasks altering and regulating the environment of the planet, rooted themselves around the seed ship's final resting place. Opening like massive flowers, the damuteks released millions of spores, seedlings, and pollen. In one fell swoop the planet had been impregnated, and at its heart was the Well of the World Brain, home to the Dhuryam symbiotically linked to Ossus' ecosystem.
Now rooted to the planet, the crystal seed ship became the Crystal Spire, home of Master Shaper Mira Yim and the Handmaidens of Yun-Ne'Shel. With a mind so brilliant it only came about once every other generation, Mira performs her mastery of bioengineering to reshape Ossus, creating life where before there was only desolation. Using archive files and plant specimens gathered from across the galaxy by the noble Jedi Lords, Mira has transformed the surface of the planet, molding a harmonious ecosystem thriving with diverse life. These lands are known as the Garden of Yun-Ne'Shel, and though they started in the Western Hemisphere of the planet, the garden grows every day. One day it will stretch across the entire surface of the planet, repairing damage wrought, restoring Ossus' very life force. Yorik-coral intermingles with wroshyr trees and mighty Pzobian oaks, while all manner of lifeform can be found here, ranging from Yuuzhan Vong bioengineered creatures sculpted into life by the Shaper Caste to cloned animals from both the past and present.
The surrounding lands were home to not just Yuuzhan Vong, but tribal Ysanna and neti tree-folk. All were welcome in the Garden of Yun-Ne'Shel, so long as they entered with peace in their heart. Though the Handmaidens of Yun-Ne'Shel were pacifists that held all life sacred, the Garden would protect itself from harm, for it had a sacred responsibility. Within the borders of the Garden's territory was rooted the Sapling of Bnar, a neti seedling capable of communicating with the World Brain of Ossus. A kinship was formed between these two unique lifeforms, and the Handmaidens were sworn to safeguard the seedling. Together with the help of the heroic and often selfless Jedi Lords, they do just that. The Garden of Yun-Ne'Shel featured lambent fields ripe for harvest, offered freely to eager Jedi wishing to bond with a living lightsaber crystal. The Yuuzhan Vong sacred herb from the seedworld of Zonama Sekot, known commonly as Sekotan Green, was planted all over the Garden. Empowered with healing properties by Sekot itself, the sacred herb restored the soil, leaching contaminants from the ground and revitalizing the planet simultaneously. The resulting plant produced a strain of smokable pipe weed with pleasant euphoric effects, enjoyed by all. The locals called it Ossus Kush.

After receiving word from the Jedi Lords that Mandalorians had come to Ossus, the Handmaidens of Yun-Ne'shel were understandably nervous given the usual hostility their people received from those armoured space warriors. As a precaution, all work on the fields ceased and the production of Ossus Kush ground to a halt. Yuuhan Vong settlers, Ossus Vong as the locals were beginning to refer to them as, returned to their homes. After ensuring the World-Brain of Ossus was protected, Master Shaper Mira Yim boarded her blimp-beast and departed the Crystal Spire, heading for the Harcey Palantine where the meeting was to take place. She was a Jedi Lord after all. She planned to be in attendance.

Ossus, once a barren world scarred by a great calamity from eons ago, barely resembled the world it had been naught but a few years past. Gone were the frigid planes of storm swept dust and dirt, replaced with thriving life rooted in fertile soil that stretched from one end of the planet to the other. What started as a simple plot of land had grown to encompass the entire global sphere. Now the Garden of Yun-Ne'Shel and Ossus were one, symbiotically linked by the World Brain at the base of the Crystal Spire, and tended to by the Handmaidens of Yun-Ne'Shel.The Master Shaper responsible for this miracle of planetary terraforming and advanced bioengineering stood beside a clear stream of sparkling water that ran through a wooded glen, open to the sky to form a grassy clearing forty meters across. Mira was garbed in an immaculate white oozhith gown of shimmering glistaweb, tightly adhering to her tall and lean feminine form like a layer of second skin. Her flesh was unmarred by the usual ritual scarring common to her people, though her bare arms were covered in an intricate artwork of tattoos that displayed her piety and devotion to Yun-Ne'Shel, She-Who-Shapes. In the eight digit shaper hand attached to her slender right arm she held onto a rigid staff of pearlescent scale, a living creature known as an amphistaff, but greatly altered by her mastery of biomancy. The serpent possessed no fangs, fitting the name she had gifted it, 'Toothless'. Nor did it possess a mono-molecular edge capable of cutting, for as High Priestess of the Handmaidens of Yun'Ne'Shel, Mira was a pacifist sworn to do no harm. A sheer shall so thin it was nearly translucent rested over the raven locks of her long hair, animate with a number of living biots strewn throughout its lush lengths. She waited for the arrival of most noble lord on all of Ossus, Sir Lucien Malvern, Grandmaster of the gallant and proud Jedi Lords, protector of all the people in the land. Mira had sent the High Lord an invitation to meet with her here, to discuss the end of the Ossus Project, and what chapter was next for the peace loving Yuuzhan Vong who now called this world home.

As the High Lord came to the place, granted to the Yuuzhan Vong, as a home, he recalled having went into orbit, but a few days ago. Lucien gazed upon a world scarred by the consequences of Sith magic, a world that had been once the pride of the Jedi Order... turned to a wasteland in the blink of an eye. The elders of the Ysanna spoke of struggles their ancestors endured, those that survived the supernova of the Cron Drift. They repeated the tales of hard times, the struggle, the result of what had transpired. Now, many of them spoke of lush woods, wild game, and more that fed their tribes and ensured none were hungry. Upon that day, Lucien witnessed as the last patch of Ossus was bioengineered, becoming the paradise it once was.
The gunship roared overhead, zooming through the skies as it headed for the Garden of Yun-Ne'Shel, the place where the Headmistress and Master Shaper Mira Yim had made into the abode of herself and that of the domain that followed her. Kol Skywalker's work had been achieved, the Ossus Project worked and the Vong's mastery of biomancy saw it come to reality. It was a paradise, for all who needed a place to call home.
His gunship settled down on a landing pad with the High Lord disembarking moments later. Lucien paused to look at the Yuuzhan Vong's work and see others still performing maintenance. For even though the planet was revived, that didn't mean the task was done. Hardly. Turning away, he headed to where Mira Yim awaited him. The Jedi greeted her warmly before bowing his head.
On behalf of the Jedi Order, of the planet of Ossus, of the Ysanna, the Neti, and all those who call this planet home, we thank you, Mira Yim. We thank you and all the Yuuzhan Vong that saw this dream become a reality. To see Ossus become a paradise once more!

Mira smiled, a warm and gentle smile as sincere as the Force's love of all living things. "It is I who should be thanking you, Lord Lucien." She placed her unaltered left hand to her bosom and lowered in a curtsy. "In a way, the remaking of Ossus has been the remaking of myself as well. I now understand my place in this strange but wonderful galaxy." She knelt next to the river and placed her hand on the ground, fingers seeping into the mud. "When I place my hand to the ground, I can feel the planet's pulse." Next she closed her glowing pink eyes and drew in a breath of fresh air, slowly exhaling. "When I close my mqaaq'it and listen, truly listen, I can hear the beat of Ossus' heart." She opened her eyes and stood, wiping her muddy hand on the skirt of his oozhith. Both her living garment and hand came away clean. "Life always wanted to return to this world. It just needed a bit of encouragement, and perhaps a nurturing hand to show it the way."She took a step closer to Lucien, her eyes meeting his. A swarm of brilliant blaze bugs rose up from the grass and swirled around them, encircling the two in a dazzling light display and giving Mira's shimmering form an ethereal glow. She turned her gaze up towards the stars in the sky overhead."In time, I will visit other planets in need of healing. Not just those harmed by the misguided invasion of my people, but any and all worlds that are ailing. I know now it is what Yun-Ne'Shel wants for me. It was what I was meant to do." And perhaps, the Force as well. "The Handmaidens will continue to tend to the Garden. We are the children of Yuuzhan'tar, but Ossus is our home now. We are as much a part of this world as the Ysanna and the children of the forest. For now though..." She let out a playful yawn, stretching her arms and resting her weary gaze on the trees. "...I will rest, and listen to their song."The greatest tragedy of all was that Ossus now swelled with the Living Force, due in large part to the life she had helped return to the planet, and as a Yuuzhan Vong she had no way of feeling the warmth of its love. But she knew. Even without a single midi-chlorian to her name, she knew.Around the clearing the forest came to life, as the trees began to move and take on familiar bipedal forms, revealing themselves to be neti. Collectively they sang, a deep wooden bass sound from deep in their bark, resonating across the plains, joined by the birds and the bees and everything in-between. Mira turned to Lucien and rested her hand on a cylindrical tube of yorik-coral resting on her hip, a living hilt with a lambent crystal heart."I know what I am now, Lucien." She plucked the yorik-coral hilt free from her belt and ran her thumb over its trigger reflex, awakening a brilliant pink blade. SNAP/HISS!"I am Jedi."

An intriguing murmur fell across the Jedi retinue that followed the High Lord. A Yuuzhan Vong that declared herself a Jedi? Lucien could hear their murmurs as some wondered if one of her kind could be considered a Jedi. It wasn't anything truly negative as it was a good question to ask. What did it mean to be a Jedi after all? Her lack in the Force could make others question her ability to be one, and yet, to be a Jedi was simply more than using the Force to perform good deeds.
A Jedi is simply more than just one who can wield the Force effectively.
The High Lord begins to speak.
We are keepers of the peace, defenders of justice, and guardians of the innocent. We study the mysticism of the Force and try to understand the will of the Light Side. But to be one, the Force is not entirely a requirement. After all, when Ulic Qel-Droma had his connection to the Force severed, he still trained Vima Sunrider, daughter of Nomi. She became among the best Jedi of her era.
Mira Yim didn't have her connection severed, but still, the redeemed Ulic was one example. He still proved to be a worthy master for Vima Sunrider. There were other Jedi who had their connections severed by force or willingly while others may have had only a rather latent connection. Yet, their desire for peace, stability, and justice to prevail over darkness led them to become Jedi. That affinity to the Light and the desire for peace.
Mira Yim will be Jedi that treasures nature and communes with her equal to that of the Force. The Yuuzhan Vong understand how to respect and cultivate nature better than a gardener who says they were born with a green thumb. And Jedi commune with nature to a great degree, because nature brings us peace.
Lucien then pulls out his lightsaber, allowing the green blade to flare to life. Holding it upward, he gave a salute. Several others came over to join the High Lord, drawing their lightsabers of various colors to give the salute to Mira Yim. The Jedi Lord closed his eyes momentarily before opening them, gazing upon Mira Yim.
Before these witnesses here today, I welcome Mira Yim of the Yuuzhan Vong as a sister of the Jedi Order. May her blade preserve peace, may it defend the innocent, may it guard against evil, and may it protect her and those she cares for... even if her life is on the line.
In unison, the blades are pointed forward and then downward.
Welcome, Mira Yim, Jedi Knight!

Though it was an unnatural expression amongst her species, in that moment of solemnity, Mira's smile was brighter than the sun. A bead of moisture formed in the corner of her eye sacs where the light blue met the vibrant pink of her mqaaq'it, and she fought to restrain a sniffle as her heart filled utterly with joy. Master Shaper, Handmaiden, and now Jedi. Those former paths of her life had all been leading to this moment, this new purpose. Yun-Yuuzhan gave her life, Yun-Ne'Shel gave her purpose, and the Jedi gave her a place to belong. It came with an oath to fulfill, but she was ready for that, to face whatever the galaxy threw her way next. There were many to give praise and thanks for helping her reach this point. Xeonon Solomon, the gentlemen Imperial Knight who had allowed her to study infidel science and learn their way of life. Nem Yin, for all his faults and the inner turmoil that shrouded his spirit in pain, had been responsible for the introduction that had made all of this possible. And Lucien Malvern, who saw past the reputation of her people and gave her the opportunity to shine unburdened by prejudice. She was indebted to them all, and she would honour them by becoming the best Jedi she could possibly be. Sniff-Sniff! Oh, Yun-o, the water works were already coming, she could tell.
Teary eyed and unbearably happy, Mira angled her blade to match the rest of the Jedi Lords standing around her. "I won't let you down." She laughed a little and raised a hand to her face to wipe away tears of joy as she deactivated her yorik-coral lightsaber and returned it to her hip, looking at the collective lords and beaming with equal measures of embarrassment and pride. "Look at me, blubbering like a bissop without a bone. It's unseemly of a Master Shaper, but perhaps it is alright for a Jedi. I'm a Jedi now. It doesn't feel real. Thank you, all of you." Her glowing pink mqaaq'it lingered on Lucien the longest. And thank you most of all, she thought.
