Description:
The Chariot-class Purrgil Rider was a rather unique vessel produced by Leonore Luxury Liners Incorporated. They were built on Commission for an obscure clan in the local area who paid well. The Chariot-class looked and was equipped with many amenities of a Luxury Yacht, from living quarters to onboard entertainment facilities, even a small pool can be requested under the glass domed upper deck. Cargo space abounded in the prow of the ship, able to transport a large amount of cargo up to around 150 tons.
To protect itself and any cargo, the Chariot-class came equipped with strong armour plating and powerful shields with redundant generators. Optimised engine units gave the Chariot-class an incredibly fast sublight speed in a straight line. A Pair of Retractable Laser Cannons provided the Chariot-class with a little bite.
But of all the Chariot-class' features, the most interesting was that it lacked a Hyperdrive. This trade off ensured the most amount of useable space and power system usage. For many customers, the absence of this fairly vital feature limited its use to systems with multiple civilised worlds close by. However a Hyprdrive Ring could be purchased at an extremely steep premium or - as the clan that originally commissioned this design does - one could procure the use of a Purrgil to make Hyperspace travel possible.
