Knossa was the capital city of Ossus. It was located deep within the Eocho Mountains, expanding outward from the Eye of Ashlanae. The city served as the center of Jedi culture for nearly twenty thousand years.

It didn't take Clark long to sniff out the local pub, he called it the "alcoholic's nose". He looked up at the sing hanging over the door: The Frosty Mug "Well aint that real original." he thought out loud, sarcasm dripping from his lips. He pulled up a stool at sat at the bar, "What you having?" asked the bar keep "Lets start with a pint and see where we go from there shall we?" "Sure thing stranger." Clark light his first cig of the day as the barkeep plopped the mug (that sure enough was frosty) in front him. He took a big swig and downed it all in about 5 minutes before ordering another plus a shot of bourbon.

The empty shot glasses began to pile up as Clark downed one after another. "Barkeep! One moe!" shouted Clark "Nah, I'm cutting you off." said the old man as he went over to take the empty glasses "I tell yof when I had nough!" Clark screamed as he reached over the counter and grabbed the bartender by the shirt just as he did the bouncer came up behind him and grabbed Clark by the collar and pulled him out the door. Clark fell to ground and rolled out into the street as the bouncer tossed him his hat. "Yeah welf screw yuf too!" He screamed back as he struggled to his feet, dusted off his clothes and stumbled back to his hotel to sleep it all off.

Clark awoke the next morning with splitting headache. He rolled out of bed, striped off his clothes and jumped in the shower, turning the water on cold. After he had thoroughly cleaned the scum from his body he stepped out and wrapped a towel around himself and stared in the mirror. The man looking back him was grizzled and old before his time. A scar on his right cheek just below the eye, the untrimmed whiskers of his beard. He had fallen far since the war ended, since he lost his will to live. Since Tanja had been gunned down by Imp troopers while trying to escape Echo Base. During the war he was able to deal with his grief and anger by taking it out on his enemies. He and his partisans made a policy of leaving no survivors after a battle. They would lynch officers and scalp stormtroopers. They even went after the families of high ranking Imperials. It didn't take long for the alliance to publicly disown them. They were labeled terrorists. In secret however the alliance had supplied them with arms and munitions, even Intel on high value targets. He had gallons of blood on his hands. They were the black sheep of the war.
Clark dressed quickly and made his way downstairs for breakfast. A heaping pile of eggs and bacon with a tall glass of water to help with the hangover. He sat and ate in silence.

As Clark walks deeper into town the neighborhood grows increasingly worse. A sickly looking female twi'lek approaches him. "Hey baby, looking for a good time?" she asks with a raspy voice Clark looks her up and down, she is thin, too thin, spots of herpes are around her mouth. "Not with you." he replies "Here, get something for that rash." he says flipping her a half credit coin out of spite
He starts to walk on when a three hoods step out from an ally and block his path. "Got any more cash?" asked the leader "Me and my friends here....we uh....we homeless right guys?" "Haha, yeah homeless." "I'm sooo hungry!" says another "Sorry fellas, can't help ya." Clark says "Yeah? Maybe you should reconsider that position!" said the leader as he pulls out a large blade from his belt Clark moves quickly, he grabs the man's wrist and twists, breaking the bones. He then rips the knife from his hand plunges it deep in into his neck. The other two hoods start to run but Clark is faster as he pulls his pistol and put a .48 caliber slug in each of their backs.
No one on the street bats an eyelash at the "everyday" violence of the hood.

On the edge of the town, a trio of silently moving Mandalorian insurgents take up post on a convenient cliffside, taking up stalk of major landmarks, armaments, defenses etc.
Knossa is a settlement a little less defended then the jetii establishment not too far away; but it should not be taken for granted either.
One laid down and observed throught a sniper scope, another through binoculars, and the third recorded the info on a datapad to be immediately uploaded in their shared network on their individual HUDs in each of their helmets. . . .

The activity around Knossa was commensurate with it being a major city and a capital. People going to and from the homes, places of work, vendors. Law enforcement working it's various "beats," government employees in their offices, and of course, the few military posts and the personnel on them performing their assigned duties. If Knossa were to appear less defended than the praxeum, it would be in part due to there not being a battle on yet, and that it was seen, usually, as better to feign weakness when one has strength, rather than risk showing everything, thinking, possibly incorrectly, that you'd outnumber your aggressor. Unseen to the trio of Mandalorian spies was a city, among several on the planet, well rigged to handle warfare, due to all the times the Sith had tried, and failed, in taking the planet. Shelters and evac routes were able to get people to safety in the span of a couple hours, city defensive grids were able to ward off plenty of ships with surface to air, and ground to orbit defenses, and the city shields were able to withstand any fleet bombardment. Fighter and bomber crews were able to scramble in minutes, as well as several units of soldiers. These were but a few of Knossa's secrets, and indeed the same was true of every other major city on Ossus.

The trio spend the evening cataloging and re positioning through out the hills, sharing all that they collect with one another-- as well as their counterparts at the Jedi Praxeum at this very moment. . . .
1 City Shield (powered by 5 separate generators) around Knossa, including the spaceport. These shields are also layered, and rotational. 3 W-165 (modified) Planetary Heavy Turbolasers 20 Self-Propelled Heavy Artillery platforms 180 AT-TEs 120 AT-APs 300 AT-STs 300 A5-RX Battle Tanks 1000 AT-PTs 50 Force-sensitive Ysanna generals 1500 Ysanna Commados able to augment slugthrowers with the Force 10,000 Ysanna Elite Beastriders mounted on Sa'lawa
If the glorious Empire had any chance to take this city, the clan Son'tir must deal with those shield generators. . . . .

Jaecyn makes his way in from orbit, directly to the council building, and to the council itself. His fighter lands on the pad reserved for council members coming in by shuttle or other flying craft from the farther reaches of the planet.
Upon securing and leaving his craft, he was greeted by his co-consul, Ayel Coyotl. with a traditional, and amicable embrace, the two made their way to the consular office the two of them worked when things of the usual political nonsense and “administrivia” came about. Along the way, Ayel tells Jae that they’ve heard communications, some of a more clandestine nature, concerning the recent rumblings in the galaxy. She knew better than openly voice it, with the potential for bugs, even on a world as generally untampered as Ossus. Her mental connection to Jae, however, told him everything he needed to know, and vice-versa.
Once in the consular office, Ayel set up a small device to inhibit just about any bug known, and proceeded to talk to Jaecyn on the matter. Noting her obvious concern, Jae pointed out that while it is of concern, there was a way of looking at this as advantage. Jae goes on to point out what he was thinking, and made mention of another stop or two, to curry favor and support, now that there was a real reason for it, especially that the dissolution of the Republican Senate had been mentioned in the reports collected. Jae, however, had thoughts toward the council showing the appearance of non-alignment and keeping any allegiance a quiet matter. He knew that he’d have support from them on the matter of allies, if not how best to proceed next on the matter, considering what was being whispered through all the comms and holonews. Hanging on to that thought, Jaecyn started to work diligently on ideas.

Among the things his mind suggested, Jaecyn had thought of a good will jump to Honoghr. Considering that the planet had suffered ecological damage a few centuries back, from which it hadn't completely recovered, it would probably do well to bolster relations further, and not show this world to be so isolated. Much of the supplies would be foodstuffs and an assortment of tech-n-mech goods, though a couple freighters would also be set aside for more lavish goods, as a means for opening up extra trade and business opportunities.
Jae went about setting it up with some advisors from the Siridar (tribal council and other leading clansmen), and a plan was set over the course of a couple hours concerning what to ship, how many ships, and escort. After that, Jae suited up, ready to get going with it.

The appearance of shuttles over Knossa did cause some alarm. The people weren't sure who to expect, given the collection of new ships that the Jedi Lords had unveiled and weren't aware of these new vessels. However, the Jedi-looking crest upon the wings and hulls of the shuttles did make the people less concerned. Security guards, belonging to the city, hurried over to the landing craft, uncertain of things. Yet, when Jedi popped out, leading their own soldiers and non-military personnel, a wave of relief flooded the city. Knossa had once been the shining city of the Jedi, a metropolis that held the culture of its founders for over twenty thousand years! Since the Ren attack, the world had fallen on hard times. That was evident as the Jedi landed and gazed upon its citizens.
Immediately, relief was dispensed as engineer crews, humanitarian relief, and such were distributed throughout the city. Knossa' security handed full control over to their new Jedi overlords and cooperated with the efforts. The soldiers, brought in, went about securing the city and its main government buildings. As this was done, more transports zoomed overhead as they headed for the Jedi Praxeum.
By the end of the day, Knossa was firmly under the control of Duke Malvern and the Jedi Lords. It was estimated that, within a week, the entire planet would be too.

Having long ago returned to Ossus after a trying to broker agreements among those worlds he considered friendly, Riddick had taken to another sabbatical from political life. Though he still attended the council meetings in Knossa along with the other tribal leaders, and occasionally 'checked in' with his military commanders in the fleets, he seemed to withdraw from the political scene and take more toward the engineering and mechanical work of the main company which he helped found many years ago. He was in his home, looking over schematics and proposals for equipment upgrades on some of the fleets fighter craft when he saw ships descend into the space port. Though there was evidence enough that they were at least neutral in their standing with this world, no fire given or returned, he still was perplexed as to their reason for being here in such numbers as they were. He made a call into the office, and concisely told them that his review was still ongoing, well into it as it was. He would be heading into the city to see what was going on, as he had some questions for the new comers. In only a moments time, his coat was on, his home locked up, and he was on his way in to see.

Throughout the city, activity was rather... alive. The old government of Ossus was complying with the new arrivals as emissaries of Duke Malvern went about their business, negotiating the integration of the local system with the incoming new order that was being brought by their liege and his peers. Local security cooperated with the professional troops brought in, more so out of respect that no war was brought to Ossus, but rather a peaceful transition from neutrality to a new faction. Jedi Knights, in uniformed armor, commanded their troops in securing the city while others oversaw the deployment of various civilian crews and dispensation of food stuffs and necessities. As this was all being done, new banners rose over the city, declaring the new allegiance of Knossa and Ossus to the Jedi Lords.
However, the Duke Malvern was not to be present for some time. His duties were to that of the ruined Jedi Praxeum to the west of the Eocho Mountains. Instead, the local command of the city, the troops, and crews arriving fell upon the most senior of his retainers, notably Count Dendarrion, a middle-aged human male. Dendarrion had been a supporter of Lucien since his rise to power and was noted in aiding the Duke in conquering Fiyarro. Afterward, Lucien became aware of his better suited administrative skills and made him a governor within his territories back on the homeworld of Serenno. Dendarrion was brought over to Ossus to one day become the appointed Steward of Knossa, the highest civilian rank to be bestowed with the new government to come. It showed great trust between the Count and his liege, Duke Malvern.
Dendarrion, along with several other Jedi nobles, chosen by him to serve as a basic administration temporarily, went from a small headquarters in the main plaza to the central government building within Knossa. This way, the Count could work better alongside the local government in ensuring a smooth transition into the fold of the Jedi Lords.

Riddick had made it far in enough to see what looked like a supply run of some sort. He looked about for a minute, perched on his speeder, before slowly pulling into a place where he could park it. Dismounting and straightening his coat, he proceeded in towards what appeared to be the temporary command post and asked who was running the outfit, and would be willing a moment and word.

When an individual came, requesting an audience with the commanding officer, the sentinels pointed in the direction of the main government building. It seemed that Count Dendarrion had relocated there just an hour ago. One of his colleagues, however, was present. He did not have the authority to deal with Riddick, but seemed willing to take him to where the Count was. Soon enough, the nobleman, a Baron, brought Riddick to the government building and into the chamber where Dendarrion was.
Situated at a table, the middle-aged male was conversing with his peers and some local leaders. When the Baron rejoined his superior, the nobleman indicated Riddick who had brought with him. Count Dendarrion turned away from the holoimage of Knossa and walked a little ways over to where Riddick was.
=Count Dendarrion= I was told you wanted to see the commanding person. Unfortunately, my liege, Duke Lucien Malvern, is not here. He is currently occupied with other business on Ossus to the West. However, I am the person he designated to oversee our activity here in Knossa. I am Count Baldrik Dendarrion. How may I be of service, Sir...?
The question, at the end of his wording, was more because Dendarrion didn't know his name.

Riddick looked the man square on, and though not with any hostile intention, Riddick's defensive nature concerning his Homeworld was noticeable. With a commanding, but non-threatening tone, and an accent truly one of a native Ysannan, he spoke as plainly as he knew how.
I am Raddekh Ja'sean Tabr, though you might know me as Jaecyn Riddick. Once, a Co-Consul of Ossus. I must admit, seeing your supply train arrive on our world is... baffling to me, and I was told nothing of it by the other tribal leaders, with whom I share council. Perhaps you can explain this all to me.
Riddick was hard pressed to see the need of supplies, as the world was noticeably well off by most people's standards. Though the thought had occurred to Riddick that maybe this was someone's idea to add variety to the crops and markets of this world, seeing as that it was by a reasonably significant trade route. Not an objectionable thought in it's own right, though it would depend on what was brought to the world.

Count Dendarrion turns slightly to look back at the local leaders. They seemed to recognize Jaecyn Riddick immediately, which confirmed the identity of who he was. Not that Baldrik doubted him, but it was still something of a necessity to confirm. It gave Dendarrion the understanding he needed in how to deal with this former Co-Consul. Information of the planet did indicate previous ownership and governance. However, due to the Times of Trouble on Serenno, a lot of this information was lost due to the rebels and their savage ways. So particular names were somewhat lost.
=Count Dendarrion= There is more than just a supply train, Mister Riddick. Surely, you have noticed the banners, the troops, and our specialist crews.
The Count turns, pointing at the holomap of Knossa he had been surveying earlier. Upon it were details that were flooding in from various squads patrolling the area. It was mostly information they needed to understand the city and how to best rearrange the administrative districts for the future government. The nobleman turns back and gently pats the lightsaber on his hip, indicating he was a Jedi. A smile crosses his face.
=Count Dendarrion= I serve Lucien Malvern, Duke of Fiyarro and a member of the Jedi Lords of Serenno. My liege has decided to claim Ossus, as his fiefdom, in the name of the High Lord Stone, the Circle of Lords, and the Noble's Assembly. He has great plans for Ossus, and its role, in the future for our cause. The supplies, you see, is the bounty of a reunited Serenno which we plan to share with all, upon this neglected world, as we revive the status of Ossus under the banner of House Malvern and the Jedi Lords.
Dendarrion explains to Riddick as thoroughly as he could. There was still a lot in the planning stages until more information of Ossus could be acquired and a better understanding of the planet's current status. There was a lot to come in the near future for Ossus.
=Count Dendarrion= I hope that answers the most immediate of questions, Mister Riddick.

That the Count had a saber on him wasn't lost on him, nor did Riddick keep in any secret that he had his own saber and shoto on him as well, hopefully to indicate that there was some common ground between the two, at any rate. He did, however, look around with a pronounced sense of bewilderment around himself. Skyscrapers of glass, metal and stone, nearly as pristine as the day they were built. Members of his own people dressed in what was fashionable, and equally traditional for Ysanna. News reports from around the world had indicated that this years annual harvest was going to be good, and the markets were bustling with merchants selling their various foods and wares. Riddick thought that there had to be a disconnect somewhere.
Not to be an ass on the matter, Count, but just how accurate is your information? Riddick gestured to him to take a look around the metropolis that Knossa had become over the past couple of centuries or so, predating even Riddick himself in age. Not that I doubt the sincerity of your good will, but just look at all this and tell me if you really think this world is struggling. Riddick took a pause, giving the count a moment. Perhaps, we should discuss how best to proceed next, given all the plans that seem to be in motion. After all, while I may not be the "it" guy anymore, I do still have presence on our tribal council, and still seem to carry some considerable weight upon it. And, I would not much care to quarrel over misunderstandings, let alone have misunderstandings. After all, even for as quiet as Ossus has been over the past couple of years or so, our world still offers much in abundance to any that would rightfully be a friend and ally.
Riddick left enough unsaid to hopefully pique his interest, and gauge where this all could go, let alone would. Showing up as relatively suddenly as the Jedi Lord fleet had did leave Riddick with a heightened sense of awareness and a touch of uneasiness. By habit and tradition, Ysanna were hunters on a once caustic world that now was a rich world, home to a respectable warrior-scholar race. There was little escaping the millennia long habits his culture was built on, and even he was not immune, though it was a genuine hope, as always, that reason would be the leading route for all involved.

Dendarrion looks curiously at Riddick. Casually, the Jedi nobleman turns to the local leaders who simply bow their heads at the Count. It was an easy sign of submission, considering the quick events that happened. There was a great degree of contradiction being spoken and what was obvious in terms of the state of Ossus. Calmly, the Count motions to one of his colleagues who brings a datapad over. He reads its contents to Jaecyn.
=Count Dendarrion= According to a signed document, upon my datapad, the local government of Ossus has already submitted to our command, to the will of the Jedi Lords and to the Duke Malvern's direction. Neither side wanted a fight and the obvious benefits that were brought enticed the leaders to happily, and peacefully, cooperate shortly after our arrival. An unofficial treaty was already agreed upon which will be examined by my liege upon his return.
The Jedi hands the datapad back to his neighboring colleague. The Count then looks out at the stone and metal structures, an echo of the Jedi heritage that permeated this world. Knossa was ancient, its symbolism strong with the history of the Jedi, yet its people had an aura of neglect. His knights had reported the sensing of waves of relief upon the arrival of Malvern's troops and supplies. Handing a package of food, fixing a local power supply, and more gave more and more relief from the locals. This sense of relief that made the Count believe in the long road ahead. Dendarrion then turns back to Riddick.
=Count Dendarrion= The local leaders spoke of abandonment and I felt the neglect within the citizen's emotions. We were welcomed as desired leadership and relief. We have come here to revive Ossus and make it a shining star in the galaxy. And that is why the local governance yielded willingly.
The Count calmly crosses his arms to allow one hand to rub his chin with the elbow resting on his arm. Even from orbit, he could sense the abandonment. Ossus was a turning planet without a direction, without leadership, without a purpose. All of this came with the arrival of his liege and it was welcomed without question.
=Count Dendarrion= I am sorry, Mister Riddick, but much has already happened and progressed. We are simply doing our job since the submission of the former cabinet. Yet, we are still relying upon standing members of those who were present for the agreement of this document. We need their help as much as they desire ours.
