Description:
Sedd and P'tetic were a pair of Neimodians who had a dream. They saw a saturated market of pricey freighters and starships that most of the average citizen on moderate-economy worlds couldn't even dream of affording on their own. So they founded S&P Industries, with the goal of crafting affordable civilian starships that any average person could buy!
To that end, they developed some unique technology patented by them, and used the lightest and cheapest material that still (somehow) passed the basic safety inspection tests. They also knew that having stylish and eye-catching designs were important. And thus their first ever civilian starship, the SU-Series X, or SUX, for short, was marketed. The catchphrase someone coined was: "That thing looks fast just standing still!"
Unfortunately, that was also what it seemed to excel at.
Standing still.
The SUX, sadly, underperformed in every way imaginable. It had the slowest moving speed on record of any spaceworthy vehicle, the turn rate of a drunken and constipated bantha, and the durability of a wet tissue paper. Due to unforeseen cost issues, they had the space for, but could not afford or develop any significant shield system, and thus the ship was reliant on not running into space debris and ensuring nothing hit the massive transparasteel viewport located on the dorsal section. It was equipped with a hyperdrive...but it was Class 10.
The only upside was that the ship was fuel-efficient, low maintenance, had excellent life support, and could carry consumables for up to a month. It was also quite large and had all the house amenities a travelling family might need, including quarters, a refresher, a galley, and a micro lounge. The ship requires one pilot and has the capacity for up to five passengers. In the end, the sellers had to pay people to take the produced vehicles off their hands.
Incidentally, theft of a SUX never occurred.
The craft is highly modular however, and many enterprising individuals had replaced almost the entirety of these vehicles to make them more efficient and safe for travel.
So...would you like one?
