The Roon Sea was the main body of water on the planet Roon. The Roon Sea was presumed to be the resting place of the only surviving Roonstones.

Sheathipede-class transport shuttle - The Dragipede A lone Sheathipede-class transport shuttle sailed across the clear blue sky of Roon over unusually calm waters, its royal purple hull refracting the rays of sunlight oppressively illuminating the planet's sunny side, as it slipped beneath the fluffy white clouds on route to its destination. Inside the narrow cockpit was occupied by four crew, including a comms operator and engineer in addition to the pilot and copilot, all of whom were Nu-Jakes of varying generations. The bearded pilot was an NJ2, while the clean shaven copilot to his right was just a first generation Nu-Jake, one of the last to step out the cloning cylinders on not-so-distant Kamino. As the transport shuttle flew over the waves below, an island in the distance began to come into focus, dominating the view from the windshield as the capable short range transport ate up the nautical miles between them. When they were a thousand meters out from the shore line, the sensor screen all of a sudden went blank, causing the copilot to become alert. "Something happening. We might have a malfunction with our sensors." The NJ1 leaned forwards and began to play around with the console, switching them off and back on again, though the reboot didn't seem to change anything.Next to him, the pilot chuckled, reaching above his head to flip a few switches. "First time to Koong Island, eh?" The pilot, Jake Morris, returned one hand to the steering yoke while the other went to the accelerator and eased back on the throttle as they neared their destination."Yes, sir." Replied the greenhorn, NJ1-859, who hadn't yet earned a name for himself. "How could you tell?" Raising a gloved hand off the throttle, the pilot pointed at the blanked out sensor screen. "When the Sith Eternal took over the facilities here, they set up sensor bafflers around the island. The whole place is jammed a kilometer out from the beach. They don't want anybody to see what they're up to.""Which is what exactly?" Asked NJ1-859 nervously, casting a brief glance over his shoulder at the other two Nu-Jakes in the seats behind them, who appeared to largely be ignoring their conversation. There was no rule against asking, but the non-clone officers tended to disapprove of Nu-Jakes asking too many questions, especially in regards to classified installations. Fortunately for him it was only his fellow clones aboard."Originally the island was used as a military base for the Imperial Navy when old Governor Koong used to rule the place, but since the Sith Eternal took over its been converted into a top secret research facility. What exactly they are researching, well, I can't exactly say. You won't catch any Nu-Jake below the third generation getting that kind of security clearance, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the strange weather we've been experiencing. We have a rare moment of calm right now, but lately the sea out here has been pretty turbulent." As they neared the island's coast, Lieutenant Morris pointed out the window down at the ocean surface, indicating the large ring carrier of a Lucrehulk floating atop the water outside the ring of coral reefs that made traversing this region by boat so dangerous. Large cranes and repulsor tugs could be seen maneuvering Separatist Sub-Carriers out of the ring carriers massive hangars and lowering them into the water. "That container ship down there is one half of the Dark Apothecary's flagship, the Haemonculus Occulori. They've been launching submersibles and releasing Sithspawn into these waters for weeks, right around the time the new Supreme Leader came into power. Whatever they are looking for, they seem to think its underwater."His co-pilot leaned forwards, staring at what the Lieutenant indicated, then looked back at the pilot. "I see the ring carrier, but where's the Core Ship?" Without sensors, they were relying entirely on what they could see with their eyes."Further inland, next to a huge complex they've been building that's almost as big as the Occulori. You won't get a chance to see it though. That's all restricted airspace now, even for us. The place is surrounded by a string of watch towers, landmines, laser wire, and anti-aircraft cannons for starters. A whole gauntlet of fun for anyone foolish enough to try to approach uninvited." He shrugged. "Nothing we need to worry about. We're headed there." He pointed to an open bay coming into view as the Dragipede circled the island, descending towards an Imperial style harbour teeming with Nu-Jakes, sea-ranats, and Gamorrean laborers. A large Ubrikkian Industries 222 fishing trawler was anchored in the harbour, featuring a monstrous dragon snout shaped prow and numerous turbolaser emplacements dotting its obsidian black hull. A number of landing pads were positioned around the harbour, where C-9979 landing craft and other Sheathipede style transports could be seen setting down and taking off at regular intervals.Whatever the SE was up to on Koong Island, it required a city worth of personnel and support staff to accomplish, meaning that whatever top secret thing they were working on wouldn't remain a secret for much longer.
