Kent took in the armored warrior before her. It didn't take a person of Kent's intellect to know that fighting was not an option here. She re holstered the weapon then kept her hands up. Kent, chose not to speak, she needed more information, and she hadn't learned to trust the Force just yet. She kept watching what was happening around her trying to keep an updated inventory in her head.

Aurora deactivated the wrist mounted saber blade as Kent re-holstered her blaster pistol. The blue of her eyes dulled then, disappearing a few moments later as her arms came to rest at her side. She kept her distance from the young girl then, not wanting to seem like she was trying to crowd her There... that's much better... My name is Aurorianne Valhalla, the Countess of Dunbar and member of the Circle of Jedi Lords. Titles and names that might not mean much to you, I suppose, but surely you know what the Jedi are... Right? I.... We are Jedi, you are safe here. I promise...

You may want to let the Knight at customs know that. She said as she slowly caught her breath looking over toward the still confused Aldar. She regretted coming here, wishing instead she followed the rumors from Corellia. She had had made her choice however and dwelling on mistakes accomplished nothing. She knew and accepted this, but the frustration still billowed inside her. I heard you were here, though I can say you are not what I expected to find. She added looking at the armor and general vibe around her, she was a long way away from Nar Saddaa.

Aurora glanced off in the direction that Kent looked. Catching sight of one of the Aldar Knights that was patrolling the spaceport. The Aldar were certainly a strange lot by most standards. A child like race that had been cursed by the Sith generations ago The Aldar are not everyone's comfort level of friendly... But I will be sure to have a talk with him about it... So what happened anyway? Aurora turned back to face Kent and noticed the girl gazing at the armour that she wore. In truth, it was not exactly what many people expected. Aurora was, as they say, the exception and not the rule I suspect not many people know what to expect when they hear about the Jedi Lords... We take after an Order that hasn't existed for almost a thousand years. So I could understand things seeming a little strange... What brings you here? Are you seeking refuge or.... training? Aurora felt the Force shift as she said those words, suggesting that was what had brought the young woman here to Serenno

Kent had to keep her emotions in check in this conversation. Deep down she had no idea what she was really after. Her life had changed the day she left Nar Shaddaa, and she new she couldn't go back to that life. She had tried to use all of her knowledge and reason, but no real plan was coming to her. That terrified her, she was used to being so sure about everything, thinking things out, having all the information is supposed to result in a clear plan. She took a small breath before responding.I was abandoned by people who said they could help me on Felucia, I guess I hoped i could learn here.Really what she wanted was someone to care for her. Even the Jedi she had met recently seemed only half interested in her.

Aurora's expression softened as she studied the girl before her. She offered her hand forward then, her palm open and flat. She did not know much about the Jedi Order on Felucia, though she had heard stories it was the largest central collection of Jedi in many years. But here, on Serenno, such things had meant little for the people. Darksiders and warlords had reigned supreme for years, unhindered because the Jedi Order had never appeared. There was a lot of speculation as to why Serenno had seemingly been ignored. What ever the case, it seemed planets were not the only thing the Jedi seemed to abandon We wont abandon you here, I promise you that. We have all felt abandoned here... How about this, I'll show you around the city and even some of the lands of other Jedi Lords. It'll help you decide if you want to stay or not... The Force acts in mysterious ways and ensures we are where we are meant to be... Perhaps this is where you are meant to be now...

Kent had heard off of that before, many times from many people. She didn't really belive it, but she had nothing else really to do. When this group failed her, she would just go to the next, "If", not "when" she forced herself to think. She put on a smile. Sure, I guess that will work. I only know about Serenno what i have read in history texts, though i have a feeling they are are mostly out of date as of late...She commented as she looked around. Little matched what she had read, though that would make sense. The battles fought here had changed everything.

While Aurora wasn't entirely sure if the smile was genuine or not, there at least appeared to be an interest in giving Serenno a chance. Perhaps it would be enough for Aurora to prove she meant what she said Yes, I do suspect what you know of the world is a little out of date... Come along, this isn't exactly the most comfortable environment to talk in... With that, Aurora lead the way back across the field that was acting as the temporary spaceport for Saffia. Leading the way toward the arrivals building, she kept a slow enough pace to allow her companion to stay by her side So... What name shall I call you by?

Kent Austin. Thank you. You never can be sure when you are chasing a rumor. She pushed the fear that thought caused in her away best she can. She was used to being sure, knowing the facts. Here she couldn't. Now that she had her barrings, she was able to notice that some of the people here were very different. She made connections that the man she had met earlier was one of these different people. They aren't fully human are they?

Aurora made mental note of Kent's name, filing it away so she would refer to the young woman by her name going forward. She offered a smile to Kent then as they drew closer to the building There is almost always a small grain of truth in every rumor... She brought them to a stop outside the building, her gaze briefly sweeping across the field to where Sir Junn Lightsong was working astride his mount. She then turned back to face Kent, meeting the younger woman's gaze No, they're not... The Aldar appear like humans, but they are a short-lived people. Most don't make it much past 18 years of age... A curse from the Sith for their people's service to the Jedi Lords of old. They're easily misunderstood, but their heart is in the right place... She placed her hand gently on Kent's left shoulder and guided her inside the building. Aurora presented her credentials to the custom officer, who proceeded to wave them through the checkpoint and out the other side of the building where a number of air and land speeders were waiting to transport people into the city properly. Aurora lead Kent over to a parking lot building where the VIP vehicles were stored You're going to see a lot more non-humans from here on out, some more obvious than others... I'll answer any questions you have about them along the way... Aurora continued leading the way into the structure, before jumping into a landspeeder and waiting for Kent to join in the passenger seat

I grew up on Nar Shaddaa, i am used to none humans, new near humans are tough. I don't have a standard to base them off yet. Kent really didn't realize how droid like that sounded. She was putting all peoples into a box. It fit for her, but not something a person would normally say. Sometimes her mind would have that effect, grouping cataloging reducing people to information. She didn't do it deliberately, it just kind of happened. She hadn't seen this model of speeder before, and again cataloged its lines and features for future use. So where too now?

She cast a side long glance toward Kent, more so out of curiosity of the way she chose to explain herself. It was a seemingly interesting quirk which Aurora filed away for observance, to see just how Kent reacted to things. The better she understood the young girl, the better she could teach her I suppose you're right. Near humans tend to be a challenge for anyone, after all, they tend to look a lot like us... Once Kent slid into the passenger seat, Aurora started the landspeeder up and started guiding it out of the parking structure as a small nav computer started up and provided directions through Saffia Well, I have a meeting with Lady Bruce at her Estate in the Lords District, so I figured we could take a bit more of a scenic route to get there and I could perhaps bring you up to speed on what happened here... Maybe answer some questions you might have... Perhaps even have a little chat about your outburst back there... What do you think?

Kent was fine with that idea until her "outburst" was mentioned and she got defensive. What is there to talk about, a creepy guy made me uncomfortable and afraid, so I dealt with it. Even if he meant nothing by it, I needed away so I got away.Despite her advanced mind she still was a teenager.

Aurora started the landspeeder off toward the city, following the directions given by the nav computer as Kent seemed to get on the defensive side when the incident at the spaceport was brought up. Whether Kent intended to try and avoid the matter further or not, was unknown. But Aurora had every intention of addressing it There is certainly something to talk about... I get that someone creepy make you uncomfortable and afraid. But it is the origin of your power which you used to get away that I want to talk about... The Force has many sides and aspects to it, some of which are malignant and dangerous to use. They lead down dark paths from which there is no turning back. And your use of the Force back there... By harnessing your fear, you started to tread down one of those paths. I want to talk about it openly, because by ignoring it, I condemn you down that path of pain and suffering. And that is not something I want to see happen to you...

Well my past isn't exactly full of peace and happiness to draw from. So i use what keeps me alive. She couldn't keep herself from reliving experiences in perfect detail, each one horrible and fear inducing. She felt the power build from it, she was in control, she wasn't in danger but could still feel it.It seems like a good well to draw power from.

Aurora still did not know much about Kent's past, but given what she did know of it, it was not a leap to believe her life had not been a good one so far. It would just make the work ahead that bit more difficult I do not doubt that your past has been tough, and for that I am sorry... Nor do I doubt that it has kept you alive in the past. But it is not as good a well to draw power from as you think... As they drove through the city, a view down a main road gave them a glimpse toward the Jedi Lord's districts and the massive memorial which rose up to the sky That memorial you see there? It commemorates those who died at the hands of a man who thought his anger and fear was a good well to draw power from... He let the darkness in and continued to welcome it. Eventually it corrupted him and drove him to kill thousands of innocents... The view disappeared as they crossed to the other side of the intersection and continued upon their drive through the city I won't claim to know what you have been through, and if you agree to stay and want to talk about it, I will be here for you to talk to. But I promise to show you how to channel the light and resist the temptation of the darkness... Otherwise one day it will take control of you, and you won't be able to control it... I've been there before, tempted to use that power... It might help you in the short term, but it will not last for long... Do you understand?

It makes sense.Kent pauses and thinks about her experiences and those of people she knew. The Jedi Knight that had been the reason her first friends were dead would agree. He was focused on the big pig picture, and people suffered from it. She was noticing that those looking long term often brought suffering on those forced to live in the short. As long as you have the freedom to look to the future.

Aurora kept them on their track through Saffia, with traffic causing them to take a slower pace around an already slow route. Kent's words were a little harsh but nothing that Aurora took to heart. While not obvious, the bitterness in her words spoke volumes Well, now you have that freedom to look to the future... In truth, each day you have that freedom. It just comes down to a choice of choosing the here and now and taking action in it, choosing to draw on something that can kill so many so easily, so that you can make it to that moment when you can be good again, and repeating that same mantra over and over, until you become the very thing you set out to destroy... I will teach you that you can act and live in the present without sacrificing your very being to the darkside. Scolding you and telling you off is pointless, if I will not show you how to draw upon the Light instead of the Dark...

I guess i never saw that as a freedom, looking to the future. I had to, to stay alive. I had to think of every possible situation and plan for it. The words would sound like an exaggeration, but the girls tone sounded truthful, she was serious. It looks like Kent starts to stare off for a second but she comes back. In fact this, is a rare time when i have no idea what is about to transpire... There are so many unknown variables. Just saying the words made fear build up a bit inside the girl.

Aurora continued to guide the speeder through the city, her gaze switching between the traffic and Kent I do not doubt for a moment that you did not have that luxury... Fighting each day to try bring down the man that once ruled my Liege Lady's lands... I certainly found myself only planning for the here and now more often than I was thinking about the future... She took one hand off the controls and rested it on Kent's shoulder, using her other hand to work the steering. She could see and feel the unease in Kent I know it seems scary Kent, but I am here for you... I am sure that trusting someone else does not come easy, but I promise I will do my best to help fill you in, so that some of the uncertainty is removed. I want you to succeed and be able to find a life here... So if you want to know something, ask away. We still have some time before we arrive to our destination...
