The Clan Mother nodded in agreement, seeing the point of the Duke. Like her he was concerned about the safety of his subjects, the ones he swore to protect. To some point it is similiar as it is to the history of the Enclave, when recalling that the Witches were granted land after the local counts accepted their pledge for lands to settle on. Back then the lords had supported them. Now she would repay them, even if they had forgotten the deeds of past generations. "Then we have a common enemy, Lord Malvern", she answered then appreciating, "My ancestors used to live on Dathomir before the Nightsisters would take controll over the planet. Few of us were able to flee to the stars, the Hydian way leading them to Serenno. A world, where we were able thanks to the generosity of the local lords and the support of the Jedi to settle within the untainted regions of the Torvus jungle. Over few generations we have build up a refugee for others of our kind... Humans, Zabrak... Brothers and Sisters, who fled from the darkness alike. We already allowed one world to fall into the hand of darksiders, we won't allow another to follow!" Her last words were said determined, as she meant it. Not because her emotions told her that it was the right thing to do, but because she knew that they had to go into the offensive, if they wanted to restore peace on Serenno once more. "Tell me, where and how we can support you the best", she then said, "The enemy is nearby, but it would be foolish to strike unprepared and alone. My sisters and I will therefore follow your lead unless there are logical reasons to deny this request of us."

Strange to hear such words that followed the principles of the Light Side from a Dathomiri Witch. Times had changed though with the chaos that had settled down upon the world of Serenno. The unlikely became allies while even the lowest and most humble of people rose up to defend their newly founded homes. After this war and the reunification of the planet, Lucien knew his home would be irrevocably changed forever. And that wasn't a bad thing. Serenno needed to be strong in the tide of darkness the engulfed the Outer Rim... new allies would need to be found in the most unlikely of places and in the most unlikely of people too.
I can only tell you to prepare your forces for the coming battle, Mother Drashi. I feel your rancors would likely serve well in the vanguard.
Lucien says as he glances at the tamed beasts. Never once he would imagine seeing them on this world.
If need be, you may set up your camp near mine. I will see to it that my fellow colleagues are known of your presence and that you have come to help. You should not be viewed as an outsider nor an ally... but rather a full dedicated member like the rest of us.

Drawn by the commotion of the arrival of the Witches of Dathomir, Lyrica and a contingent of her knights approached Lucien and the mysterious woman who conversed with him. As they drew nearer, Lyrica's eyes widened and she goggled at the rancor, never having met any creature so large, so majestic, and so unique in her short life. She immediately reached out to its mind with the Force, greeting it like one would greet a friend or kinsman. “I sense...it has a sentient mind?” said the petite princess. She smiled eagerly, hoping to be able to approach the riders and these curious folk later when things were less tense.
She turned to look at Lucien and then bowed, “Milord,” she then repeated the gesture to the woman.

There was a brief remark of surprise on Gaelle's face, but she took it lightly, as she nodded with a brief smile. "Then I shall tell my sisters and brothers our decision, Lord Malvern", she then proclaimed, lowering her head in respect, "No matter how dire the battle, we will stand by your side. Until Serenno is freed ... and afterwards."Drawn by the commotion of the arrival of the Witches of Dathomir, Lyrica and a contingent of her knights approached Lucien and the mysterious woman who conversed with him. She turned to look at Lucien and then bowed, “Milord,” she then repeated the gesture to the woman. Surprised, Gaelle looked around as she saw another person entering the parlay. This one was a small woman from what she could see, human origin. Or at least she thought so. The Clan Mother was unsure, as she was a force user for sure - otherwise she wouldn't have realized quickly what even most Jedi of old tended to dismiss about rancors. But something was off, though Gaelle couldn't really put a finger on it, what it was. Something about her presence within the force felt ... unnatural to describe it the best way. She was definitly on the light side. Yet... I might ask her or Lord Malvern later about it.
Looking towards the new guest, a lady of high rank as well presumably, Gaelle bowed.
"Greetings mylady", she solely said devoted, leaving it to Lord Malvern to introduce them both to eachother. As the Clan Mother of Clan Drashi and the Enclave she was familiar with the customs of the Serenno lords and houses, but unlike her mother, she had barely gathered any expieriences in order to commune with them other than by the means of accompanying the household.

It was interesting to hear that the Clan Mother planned to settle her people here permanently. No arguments would come from the Duke though as he knew that people would be needed to not only liberate Serenno, but to rebuild the world. After all, the galaxy was more chaotic than ever before and the Jedi would be needed to preserve its peace and be the light in the darkness. First came Serenno... but afterward? Who knows what other world would be liberated and freed by him and his colleagues. That is if the coalition endured after Saffia and Serenno's deliverance.
His senses picked up someone approaching, causing him to look and notice the arrival of Lyrica Starlight, one of the colleagues that Lucien had spoken of to the Clan Mother. She seemed rather entranced by the presence of the rancor. Had her people never seen one before? Hard to say considering he knew little of her or anyone in the alliance beyond their names. That would certainly have to be changed once their work was done.
Lyrica Starlight, this Clan Mother Gaelle Drashi. She leads an enclave, exiled from Dathomir, on the planet's surface. It seems she had heard of the struggle here and came to aid us. She too desires to see the planet reunified. Clan Mother, this is Lyrica Starlight. She is one of the colleagues I spoke of earlier.

Gaelle looked towards Lyrica benevolent. "It is an honor to meet you, Lady Starlight", she then said, assuming her to be a noble given her escort, "It surprises me to see someone with such a passion attempting communications with our rancors. Many, who are not familiar with our customs would think that they are mere animals, though we Witches consider the herds as allies. They are dangerous to be sure, yes, but proud predators. You won't have to fear them as they have a close bond with their riders." The Rancor with whom Lyrica attempted to communicate glanced over to her curiously, but after a subtle movement of her rider on top of it, a woman of Zabrak heritage, yet probably one of the witches, the creature remained as it was. It was hard to read its mimic, given that it had no humanoid features but the Rancor seemed relaxed. Probably it was just reminded that this was a parlay and any interruptions could be misread by their hosts. Gaelle, who watched the scene and made her own assumptions guessed this at least, but even if, she felt that the situation was under controll as Lord Malvern seemed to be reasonable.

They were definitely as young as they looked, if not younger. The youthful exuberance, innocence and naiveté showed on their faces, including Lyrica's. They were all little more than children in many ways, despite the obvious combat experience they possessed as a result of their training. But the sight of a sentient giant like the rancors had all of the Aldar in a state of wonder and excitement at meeting such majestic and mighty beings. The men looked like they wanted to approach the rancor right then, but they only held back due to their duty to the princess, who looked no better than them in her eagerness.
It was enough to make them forget the death that lurked within them, sapping their strength where they stood. The dark presence that dwelled within all of the Aldar as a result of the horrific Sith Curse grew stronger as they approached their natural adulthood. While it grew stronger, they would grow weaker. Lyrica's breathing mask hung down her neck, and she occasionally reached for it to place over her mouth and nose, drawing deep breaths with the mechanical apparatus. It was only when Lucien spoke and introduced her that she was broken from her reverie and from staring at the rancors in awe.
When Gaelle spoke, Lyrica and all her knights bowed their heads, placing their right palms over their left, facing upwards and touched them to their hearts, then holding them forward, “We greet thee, Clan Mother Gaelle Drashi, and bid thee welcome under the shade and shelter of the Light of Aélon. May thou find solace and comfort here.”
Finished with the formal and traditional greeting, Lyrica shyly raised her eyes to look up at the woman, and she smiled happily and hopefully. She then straightened up at a fast and comical pace, an action mimicked more slowly by her knights, clasping her hands behind her and crossing her legs, turning her attention back to the rancors in the near distance, “They're simply magnificent,” said Lyrica, “My ancestors have spoken of rancors, but no Aldar of the last three centuries has left our world, nor seen such...”

Aldar? The leader of Clan Drashi pondered if she had ever heard of a species named Aldar. Well... maybe. Her mother might have mentioned it somewhere though she wasn't sure. Given their presence, Gaelle noticed that not solely the girl, but some of the knights around her had a similiar strange aura around them as Lyrica - something fluctuating, hard to grasp. Given the young woman's eagerness and her attempts to already learn more about the Dathomirian cavalry. Well, maybe they could both learn from each other.
Thus with a warm smile she looked down towards Lyrica. "Then I am glad that we met as it seemed to be fate", she only remarked, looking then back towards their own troops as well, "We will have to build up our encampment soon, so we will need all the blessings we can take. My forces are dutiful and prepared when it comes to a battle, but we suffered many losses during the defense of our enclave already. Yet, if there are any questions you have, mylady, I'll gladly take the time to answer them, as it seems that we both can profit from eachother in terms of knowledge." Maybe that way Gaelle was also able to strengthen the ties between her people and the Jedi Lords even more.

*The day after the meeting of the Jedi in Saffia the entire City had a different kind of buzz to it. Most had heard of the plans for a duel and now they were waiting with a collectively collected breath. The partially ruined buildings of the once fine city combine with the grey overcast sky to add an ominous tone to the day. As expected Larcener in his arrogance had almost immediately agreed to the duel for the fate of the city. The darksider believed himself a god among men, untouchable by anyone and today would prove him wrong, or at least that was the hope of those who had suffered the long siege. In any case today would be a day for the history holos... or at least someone's history holos... probably.
Everett Stone made his way calmly through the streets from the command building surrounded by just a small force of soldiers and a single other Jedi. The group had realized that no matter how the duel went the cutthroats that made up Larcener's army weren't likely to just surrender. Some would run for sure, but others would fight on because they knew nothing else to do. To prepare for that the aging Jedi investigator had insisted that most of the other Jedi who had arrived in the last couple days were to remain away from the duel, ready to move into whatever chaos was about to happen. So the day found Everett walking to the appointed spot just outside the city limits with only his daughter, Major Bushfire, and 40 of the most experienced of the Citizen Soldiers of Saffia.
Arriving shortly afterwards were 50 men of Larcener's army in ragged clothes and mismatched weapons. They'd look more like a bunch of homeless people out of place on the field of battle if the Citizen Soldiers weren't in any better shape. At the head of the force were a trio of men in black cloaks of much better condition and wearing masks of plain shining metal sculpted into the shape of a generic face. Two of the men stopped with the other soldiers on the other side of the shopping plaza from where Everett and his men stood. The final figure, Larcener himself, continued forward towards Everett in the middle of the broken field which had once been the speeder lot for a collection of suburban shops. About halfway to Everett the man's hand whipped out to his side and the red blade of a lightsaber erupted with a familiar sound to almost everyone present. Reaching to his belt Everett pulled a simple and well worn handle off and took a long deep breath in and then out before igniting the Orange blade and taking a ready stance. The duel was about to begin....

Titus stood side by side with the Praetorian Warriors that had joined him on this mission to Saffia. While he and his men were stationed far away from the site of the duel, he could feel the shift in the Force as the two opposing sides met. With any luck, Everett would finish off Larcener quickly, and his forces would disperse in fear. But that was merely wishful thinking. Even if the fight was over with quickly, Larcener's forces were a bunch of mad-men. They would raid, pillage and plunder everything given the chance. And without their Master to hold them back, preventing that from happening would fall to the combined force that the Jedi had gathered together

Arranged surreptitiously to one side apart from others, the Aldar and their princess were knelt in meditation, but a ready nature to leap into action. They conserved as much of their energy as possible rather than waste it in standing and milling around. Those who were mildly versed in Battle Meditation did their best to render assistance, bolstering the strength, courage and will of their fellow Jedi and the armies, whilst simultaneously demoralizing, discouraging and sapping the strength of the enemy. Due to their relative inexperience and youth, the Aldar weren't particularly powerful in their effect with the Battle Meditation, but they did their best.
The Light will shine today.

The transport lands in a field outside of the city. The CR-20 mainly carried cargo, but some space was for passengers. A handful of people made this trip. Up front there was the Van Erichs family, grandfather, father, and adult son. They were some sort of entertainment group, stage fighters of some kind. Next was a nervous man in his 30's going to ask his girlfriend's father for permission to marry her. In the back, trying not to look at anyone was a teenager girl. Kent had tried not to notice things, they really didn't matter, but she couldn't. They nervous man nervously twitched his left leg, never his right, he was on his 5th handkerchief, and the stone in his engagement ring was fake. The son up front was actually not related to the the other two, he jawline didn't match correctly and he smelled wrong. The father had his nose broken at least 6 times in the past. The grandfather was stealing money from the other two, he had a tell whenever money came up. Kent shook her head trying to clear these thought, with no luck. Non of this information mattered, yet she had to absorb it, and chronicle it in her mind. After the fall of the Temple, she had wandered again. She had some credits to her name that she borrowed for the temple accounts. Enough for the multiple trips looking for a new place to belong, though she was thinking that was a fools goal, she would likely never belong anywhere. She heard rumors of a powerful group of Jedi here on Serenno, so here she was. She picked up her small bag, and made sure her blaster was hidden and in place and walked by the other passengers collecting their things. Her baggy robe covered her figure as she made her way out of the ship. She thanked the crew and started the walk to the city. She wasn't sure what she hoped to find, but being lost and a lone here was as good as being lost and a lone anywhere.

[ Sir Junn Lightsong | Field 05 | Starport Fields | Saffia Migration District ] Attn: Kent AustinJunn Lightsong was watching the ships at the Starport Fields. He had a deep fascination for...everything, really. People of all races were a keen subject of interest to the Aldar. Now that the battles were over, and the rebuilding had begun, he had time to people-watch, while waiting for the Archonian supply ships and migrants. His attention was drawn to a CR-20 transport, from which quite a variety of personalities seemed to emerge.
Smiling, he eventually narrowed his attention to a teenage girl, who seemed to be lost and alone.
Nudging his mount and cargo-carrier, a massive changu, which resembled a eight-foot long hamster, the Aldar knight approached the girl, “Greetings,” said Junn, “I'm Sir Junn Lightsong, Knight of the Archonian Jedi Order. I can sense the Force is quite strong in you. Are...are you a Jedi?”He smiled at her, suspecting she was probably a Jedi or here to learn to be one. It was quite obvious that though he looked Human, Junn was anything but, with the ethereal grace he seemed to possess and the mild white glow around his body. His animal companion nuzzled Junn on the shoulder and made a soft grunting noise, then abruptly reared up and started cleaning itself, much like the tiny rodent it resembled habitually did.

Kent did her best to blend into the goings on of the spaceport. She avoided everyone she could. She was almost clear when a man came riding up on what appeared to be a large hairy potato. She tried to avoid him, but no luck.
She froze, trying to take inventory of the situation. She was here looking for Jedi, but having a customs agent figure that out so quickly was off putting. She took a step back and quietly spoke. "No, I... I am just hear visiting. She went through the options of running away and began to plan the best rout. In her nervousness sh began to feel the force gather at her hands. This made her more worried. She couldn't really control it, and had been known to let it all come loose at once to devastating effect.

Sensing potential danger, Junn began to privately Send to the nearest knights that weren't Aldar, to prepare defense and protection. He never took his eyes off the girl, though he sensed for the intents with the other passengers. As far as he could tell, none of them were travelling with the girl, and they seemed to be moving away of their own accord, getting customs checks done with the officials.“It's a wonderful place to visit,” said Junn, “Now that we've begun to rebuild and repair, we have a lot of work to do. If you're travelling about, why don't you visit the Aldar districts? That's where I'm from. Tell them you know Junn Lightsong, and they'll give you a feast. Or maybe I'll see you there, and prepare the feast for you myself.” He smiled again at her, and urged his mount to move back a little, Rondi acquiesced with no complaint.

The man before her was cute, but was also considerably older. Kent felt more than a little uncomfortable. She had grown up with pirates and the streets of Nar Shaddaa, friendly people like this always wanted something, and he was angling to get her over for dinner and then she could guess what he would want next. She was beginning to thing coming here was a mistake. Hear fear let herself become almost two minds. The fear took over her body, the Force building in her fists waiting for release. Her mind started to go through her best escape options. She had never seen one of these animals run and couldn't accurately tell how fast they can run. Luckily, the area was covered with cargo ans ships all the way to the city proper. With the cart behind it, there was no way the creature could efficiently move away from the main stretch. She quickly went through the field layout she had seen on the approach, and planned her escape route. When she had it, she put on a flirty smile. and batted her eyelashes. Suggestively she responded. Well, we could have fun before dinner too. She released all her pent up fear in front of her with a massive shove that sent creates and cargo flying. She then took off running, twisting her way around the cargo, gear, and ships that inhabited the landing field making her way toward the city proper and what she hoped was a hiding spot.

He had sensed the girl's fear growing, and the build-up of power that warned him of danger. He was still unable to do anything about it when it came down to it, because he just couldn't comprehend the reason for the girl's reaction.
He turned to look at his companion pet, Rondi, who was looking back at him, and he said, “Do you think it was something I said?”The changu just grunted and clambered back to his feet, and the Aldar got back up as well, nodding to himself, “Yes, it was probably something I said.” the man decided.

The reunification of Serenno had been finished. The Warlords and Darksiders that had once run rampant upon the planet were no more. A few scattered forces still existed, but for the most part they had been turned to hiding. Allowing the Circle of Jedi Lords to take power upon Serenno. While a new government, the group had garnered the support of the people, with their ranks consisting of Serennian locals and those that now called the world home. The later fact of which had been caused by an influx of refugee's and offworlders that sought a safe place to settle.
So it was no surprise to Aurora that the spaceport was busy, as her shuttle landed on the edge of the field that had been set up as a temporary measure. Or, at least, she could only hope it was a temporary measure while rebuilding works continued throughout Saffia. The city had suffered a great deal during the liberation efforts by the Jedi coalition that had become the Jedi Lords. But the Lords District was a testament to the resilience of the people, as much as the many construction sites throughout the city were.
Aurora descended the ramp of the transport and started to cross the field towards the city dressed in her gold and white armour. Despite having been raised to the rank of Baroness by her Liegelady, Aurora was not one for wearing dresses. While Abigail always managed to look stunning in them, Aurora felt nothing but awkward. They provided too little protection and they had no place for weapons. Things that Aurora needed to have if she was to be successful at her job.
Her thoughts were interrupted then, as she felt a dark ripple in the Force. It was by no means anything compared to some of the disturbances she was used to here. Nor did it last particularly long. But it was enough of a disturbance to draw her in the direction she had felt it come from. She ducked under and past ships that had been landed in the field. Coming to a stop behind some crates as she watched a young woman come sprinting toward her. She looked afraid and like she was running away from something. Aurora kept hidden behind the crates. Waiting until the last moment to shift her foot out and try trip this person to make catching them a bit easier and find out what is going on

Left turn, right turn, left, left, right. Kent wound her way through the map she had made in her head from above. She didn't feel like she was perused. She was a little confused as to why not. The Knight wasn't behaving like an customs agent she had ever seen before. Corrupt and looking for illicit favors, sure. But not being ready at all for an attack, and not giving any kind of chase. It had her perplexed. Perhaps, it was this distraction that let her miss the foot that caught her ankles. She went tumbling into the muck and grime of the over used field. She used her momentum to roll through reaching for her blaster as she did.

Aurora raised her left arm, the wrist mounted lightsaber blade activating in a brilliant blue flash ready to deflect any blaster bolts that might be fired at her. Her right hand extending out in an open palmed, stop motion. The Force briefly flaring in her, causing her eyes to flare blue, as it came to her aide ready to help her defend herself Whoa! Stop! You're fine... ok? Let's not do something that will get either of us, or a bystander hurt... I'll turn my lightsaber off, and you put that blaster down, deal?
