Telandra had expected some curiosity about Dathomir, since to her knowledge no one there had known this colony existed. So it came as no surprise that Gaelle was curious to hear more about the world. Though, judging by the Clan Mother's response, she could not help but wonder if perhaps there had been some misunderstanding. Something she could clear up in her explanation. She gave a bow of her head Of course Matriarch... Though I am curious why you would lament the fall of such traitors to the ways of Allya... The Nightsisters were a scourge on our world and poisoned the very ground they tread. They waged a war until at last they took hold of our world for generations. Until the Grand Matriarch Ebony Shadowwalker united the sisters that still stayed true to Allya's teachings and used the armies of the Shapers of Kro Var to bring an end to the Nightsisters... Those few that survived were bound to the Shapers will, while Ebony ruled Dathomir and brought light back to our home land... We allied with the Jedi and the Galactic Alliance, to use our magic to serve the Light. But unfortunately, some of the Clan Mothers thought themselves better fit to rule... So they sided with the First Order and their Imperial Knights... Those who remained loyal to freedom and the light were overwhelmed. And now, I fear, that the Nightsisters may once again rise back upon Dathomir and undo the work that was done... She clutched her hands across her chest, as she fought back against the memories of the battle. Her sisters being slaughtered by the Stormtroopers, while those traitors that sided with the First Order taking glee in striking down their sisters. She shook her head then, before lifting her gaze back to meet Gaelle's But I am here now, and I wish to lend my strength to your Clan, if you will have me?

Once Telandra finished with her explanations, Gaelle rose from her throne and came closer to her. She had heard enough for the moment. "You misunderstand me, if you think that I feel pity for traitors among those, who abbandoned the path of Allya - on Serenno we still follow her way, no matter how weird the adaptions outside might seem for someone, who comes from Dathomir herself. But I am concerned that the incursion by the First Order might cause a greater evil within the galaxy. As I already said, one root of darkness is located on the planet, having lead unknown invaders to our jungle. Droids in fact. My mother, the previous Clan Mother perished when they assaulted our front gates by the ammount of thousands. And yet, the spark here on Serenno is insignificant, when it comes to the darkness beyond. I can feel that it is out there, but I can't define what it is." She eventually left the room, indicating for Telandra to follow up. From there on, they moved over the hallways to a terrace, where they had a good overlook over the city of Torvus, filled with its thriving life.
"If you came to persuade me of returning to Dathomir in order to reclaim what was lost, my answer might disappoint you, Sister", she then continiued, "My heart would say that it is the right choice to do - yet my mind has the higher priority. Those who suffer emotion will never enjoy peace. And on rational thought, it will be more important to ensure the enclave's safety first. Our armies are prepared to aid others on the planet, as we are allied to the local Jedi Orders as well. But as you might see, even if I had the intention to free Dathomir from the Dark Side, there are only civilian spaceships at our disposal." She pointed over to a distant hangar side, which was indeed a quite lonely spaceport. Apart from a few Corellian freighters not all too much was parked there. "Mother Deane already attempted to modernize most of our assets in order to adapt to this foreign world and its customs. In the end we hold up the traditions within its core - but for our survival, we have to change our ways, when it comes to the life of those, we seek to protect. The civilians here, refugees from Dathomir, Iridonia and other worlds alike, who had once fallen to darkness, believe in our protectorate as common brothers and sisters - just as Allya showed those, who were freed from the Paecian Empire, a new path. But society here on Serenno is different from the jungles of our common homeworld. You might thus see, why things had to change."

She remained still as Gaelle descended from the throne, clarifying further where her concern came from. It seemed Torvus had been quite cut off from much of the most recent events throughout the galaxy. Not that Telandra was sure she knew all of what was going on herself. She gave a nod and followed Gaelle then, as the Clan Mother lead the way through the temple to a terrace that overlooked the city. She leaned against the railing, turning her gaze to the hangar bay when she was directed to do so.
She turned her face toward Gaelle then. You are right to be concerned, but I fear that this greater evil has already taken a hold of the galaxy at large Matriarch... The age of darkness is already upon us Sister... She let out a sigh as she turned her attention back out across the city. The city was filled with people going about their daily lives, perhaps completely unaware of the full evil that existed just beyond their borders It would be unfair of me to ask you and your people to fight for a world they do not know... As much as it pains my heart to admit, Dathomir is lost to us, at least for the time being... No... I came here, because you are the last of my people that still serve freedom Sister. You have people here that rely on you for protection, and I am not one to stand idly by and request the same... I may still have some training ahead of me, but I wish to fight for Torvus. I failed my sisters on Dathomir, but I will not let the same happen again... The darkness has taken too much, and the light must band together and fight back...

More than curious Gaelle turned into Telandra's direction, a somewhat estimating look this time in her eyes. "Then do you think that you know what it will take to absolve your training as a witch?", she asked then serious, "Moreover, will you attempt to adapt to the Enclave and our ways of teachings? Remember that we are not on Dathomir, sister. We follow the traditions, yes. But adaptations were made, just so you know. You might see soon why on Serenno one could easily confuse our kind with the Jedi - even though we just have a similiar cause." Another pause followed, as the Clan mother wondered what path the woman in front of her would choose. There was potential, yes. But maybe she wouldn't appreciate the new ways. Allya's words might be interpreted in many ways and thus lied as well the problem of Dathomirian society, the mistakes wrought upon their people by those who fell to the dark side. In the end the young Drashi didn't knew where her allegiances would truelly lie. "The choice is yours though and I can reason if you wish to carve your own path, your own destiny. In the end that is what the blood of Dathomir defines."

Telandra her attention to Gaelle then, as the Clan Mother spoke of absolving her training and adapting to the ways of the Torvus Enclave. They were curious questions and statements. Perhaps assessing just how smoothly that she would fit in. Tradition meant a lot to Telandra, especially now more so than ever before. Given that she was the last of her Sisters that had survived the sacking of Dathomir, a part of her felt bound to ensure those traditions lived on. But she also knew that she could not let herself be bound by the past.
She turned back out to the view, taking a moment to process it all. Torvus was filled with her people, and yet they seemed foreign to her. Perhaps as one Clan felt foreign to another back upon Dathomir. At the very least, she owed it to them to make an effort and see if this could become her home. A decision she made as she turned back toward Gaelle While I make no promise to myself free of my teachings thus far... I will make an effort to adapt to the Enclave and its teachings as best I can. We are not enemies, nor are our teachings mutually exclusive... Whether I succeed or not, We face a common enemy and can still fight side by side...

Mother Drashi nodded, knowing that it must be a hard decision for her. "So I thought already", Gaelle replied fond about her answer, before continiueing, "But for the moment we shall not worry about the future, as time will tell how we will fare then. If you wish to be tutored by me, tell me your name, sister and what you have so far learned." So far she had spoken a lot, but seeing that the fellow witch wished to adapt it was now time to find out more about her.

Telandra relaxed a little bit then, as the Clan Mother's prying gaze seemed to soften then. Gaelle's next words were all but an outright acceptance of her into the Torvus Enclave. She straightened up from leaning against the railing, her hands moving about as a red energy seemed to emanate from her hands. Several loose items rose up and drew themselves toward Telandra, before floating in a slow circle around her My name is Telandra Starshadow... Much of my training so far has been in basic spells around manipulation. Calling items to me, altering minds, creating basic illusions... The items fell to the ground then, as the spell dissipated. Telandra's right hand falling to her left then, gently fiddling with the ring there It's enough to get by, but There is more I can improve upon... But there is one thing else I can do... She offered her left hand forward then, so Gaelle could inspect the Amulet of Transformation It has been passed down in my clan for generations, from Mother to Daughter... It allows me to take the form of a bird, and not just as an illusion... It is ancient Witch Magick...

Gaelle thought about what she heard, noting already that Telandra wasn't too inexpierienced at all. Most certainly she had surpassed the acolyte status and is definitly in line with most of the other witches, though perhaps not at a Master level. Within the area of mind manipulation Gaelle would clearly be able to train her - perhaps even be able to teach her other powers, which could be of use while giving Telandra in general a wider range of knowledge within areas, where Gaelle herself had trained herself and was trained. She looked upon the amulet briefly, intrigued within its power. She could definitly sense the magic coming forth from it. "Show me its power then, Telandra", she then urged, "It's not a test, just my curiousity as a fellow sister. I have heard stories of those talismans and some even found their way to Serenno - but I rarely tend to see them getting used or utilized." Maybe she could even teach her in some areas, giving the Clan Mother a better understanding of the Dathomirian heritage as well by that way.

Vanyla swung lazily in her vine hammock. The view from the treetop canopy was amazing. She could see most of the valley that the enclave occupied. The young woman slowly sat up as she looked out across the vista. She had been a part of the enclave as long as she could remember. Her training in the ways of the force had gone well, but she was not foolish enough to know that their was still more to learn. Slowly she manipulated the vines around her to lower down slowly. Her bare feet touched the rich soil burying her toes into it, and a content smile formed on her face. It stayed their as she pulled her staff off the ground and started the long hike back to the enclave. Arriving back at the enclave, Vanyla walked its streets absentmindedly, getting lost before finding her way again. She wondered how her adopted sister was and decided she'd go for a visit.

Telandra drew her hand back, placing it across her chest as Gaelle requested to see the Amulet's power at work As you wish... She focused upon the amulet then. The seal upon the ring lighting upon, as a cloud of red smoke enveloped her. But just as quickly as it apppeared, it disappeared into the wind. Where before Telandra stood, was now replaced by an exotic looking bird of almost 1/3 of her original height. With a flap of her wings, Telandra rose up onto the railing. Her mind linking with Gaelle's then, before Telandra took to the sky. Remaining close to the Clan Mother as she projected an aerial view of the temple back to her fellow Witch.
She did a full circle of the temple, before gliding back down and landing upon the balcony once more. The cloud of smoke appearing once more, before Telandra emerged as herself. Rising from a kneeling position Our ancestors connected with animals and the spirits in ways we can only do so through this heirlooms... It is quite freeing...

As she walked Vanyla spotted a strange bird circling the temple. A huge smile formed on Vanyla face as her eyes sparkled with wonder. After pausing for a moment to watch it, she saw it disappear into the temple balcony. Almost instinctively she broke into a sprint. A brand new bird that she had never met in the forests before. She could not wait to meet her and learn everything she could. Drawing a lot of eyes as she rushed through the temple and on up the stairs, three at a time. Soon she was up on the balcony. But their was no bird. Did it fly away? She rushed over to the ledge, leaning almost half off the balcony, she looked all around the sky. Crestfallen that she didn't see the majestic creature, she turned back and only then noticed her sister and the other. Her ears perked up and the smile returned as she, heedless of any sort of conversation that was being had, started rapidly asking her questions.
Did you guys see that bird? Was it really that big or was my perspective off? Which way did it go? I thought it landed up here? Did fly away?

Rising from a kneeling positionOur ancestors connected with animals and the spirits in ways we can only do so through this heirlooms... It is quite freeing... Watching Telandra fly, as she was witnessing events firsthand from her own vision as well, Gaelle allowed herself to be overwhelmed by the feelings, the fellow witch expierienced. The sound and feeling of the wind. The wide landscape beyond them. The fresh air of freedom. She could reason, why Telandra kept this amulet dear. It was indeed not solely an ancient relic of her people, but as well a gift. Something that in the end inspired them all. Freedom. Just pure independence from the rest of the world and freedom. In some ways the metamorphosis into a bird was a metaphor to the Enclave as well. Therefore Gaelle waved away the brief tears within her eyes, when Telandra finally landed.
Appreciating she nodded towards the fellow witch, once she had spoken out her thoughts. "I can see now why and I thank you for sharing these expieriences with me, Telandra", she solely said towards her,"Training you will be a promising task for both of us, I can already feel that."As she walked Vanyla spotted a strange bird circling the temple. As her adopted sister appeared, Gaelle had to smile, acting more outside of her role as a clan leader. Once Vanyla approached them and asked them about the bird, she briefly laughed. "Well, seems like you missed it, sister", she solely said with a grin before looking over to Telandra, "But maybe you want to ask her, if you'd like to know more about it. Vanyla, may I introduce you to Telandra, a Clan Sister from Dathomir, who has entered the Enclave today in order to join us. Like you, I will have to tutor her, when it comes to the improvement of her abilities. Telandra, this is my sister, Vanyla. Given that she is a part of my family, it was probably only a matter of time until I would be able to introduce you two towards eachother." For the moment talk between the three was more formal, but Gaelle wished secretly that it hadn't to be this way, now that Mother Deane wasn't present anymore. She still remembered how sorrow the day was, when she was buried nearly a month ago. In the end though, Vanyla filled the void which was left within Gaelle's heart, now that she was the only person left within her personal life. It was still strange to talk like Mother would have done in her situation - yet she had to lead the Enclave in the end and as thus there was hardly any time for a more private situation - especially not in front of complete strangers like Telandra, no matter how well liked she was for the moment by the matriarch. Maybe Vanyla would break the ice, but for the moment Gaelle was just glad that her sister was here.

Telandra gave a bow to Gaelle, as the Clan Mother thanked her for sharing the experience with her. She smiled hopefully, as Gaelle then spoke of how she felt this training would be quite promising for both of them. Suddenly though, the conversation was interrupted as an elven like female came rushing out onto the balcony. Telandra startling a little as the girl leaned out halfway off the ledge. Preparing to cast a spell to catch the girl. Before relaxing a moment later as the new arrival turned back around from danger. Her questions rapid firing about the bird that she had just seen.
She met Gaelle's gaze, managing a smile as the Clan Mother introduced her sister, a girl by the name of Vanyla whom was the Clan Mother's sister. A more familial bonded Sister than what Clan Members usually were to one another. She gave a slight bow in greeting to Vanyla then It is a pleasure to meet you Vanyla... I look forward to training with you... As for the bird... You liked it, did you? I can show you it after my meeting with your Sister is over... If you'd like?

About to launch into a new tirade of questions, Vanyla glanced at her sister again and then was drowned by a wave of realization. Clearing her throat and straightening out. How could she have forgotten that Gaelle was Clan Mother? And now she was interrupting an important meeting. Putting a closed fist to an open palm, Vanyla bowed to both woman. Then taking on a tone that she only used at formal occasions, she addressed the women as she tried to hide her crimson cheeks.
An honor to meet you, Telandra, I look forward to studying along side you. And I'm sorry for the intrusion sis- I, er... Clan Mother. Rising out of her bow, she turned back to Telandra. And I would love to see that bird again and get to commune with it and... Catching herself again, she gave another bow. Sorry.

Gaelle solely laughed heartly, being so far amused how her sister tried to keep to the protocol. "It's alright, sister, you didn't knew", she then said calmly in a warm voice, as she went along side them, nodding appreciating towards Telandra, "I guess with the official part of the meeting having found an end anyways, I may allow you to show Vanyla the heritage of our sisters from Dathomir. Magic within its purest form, bound to an artifact of old. I only insist that you treat my sister gentle when showing her the same images you showed me, Telandra - but I have faith that you will be able to manage that." Gaelle kinda wondered if Telandra would find offense within how she treated her adopted sister, as depending on the Clan, some would see weakness within Gaelle's emotions for her own family. And to some point those voices were probably right - yet on the other side, Gaelle found inner peace and strength due to said family. In the end she cared for Vanyla - like a true sister would do.

Telandra could not help but feel some of her more icy exterior melt as Vanyla blushed as she gave a bow. A smile gracing her lips as the young woman seemed to talk and talk, before catching herself and apologizing. It was not all that long ago, that Telandra had shared much the same in attitude when she was Vanyla's age. She turned her attention to Gaelle, the Clan Mother showing some signs of amusement. Giving her some sense of relief that perhaps she could make a home here. Despite her more old fashion views of the Witches compared to what she suspected was common here in Torvus. One thing that the Sisters on Dathomir did practice, was caring for one another as family.
A fact that Telandra knew was not among the other more different views that she would have to adapt to. She gave a nod of her head in response to Gaelle's request to treat her sister gently. Something she was certain would not be a problem Of course Clan Mother... Watch this... Telandra took a step back, giving herself some space. Her focus returning to the ring, before the magick within activated. Her whole form once more disappearing into a cloud of red smoke. The smoke dissipating once more to reveal her larger than life avian form. She let out a gentle squawk, as she focused on linking her mind with Vanyla's

A confused look was on the woman's face as she was instruced to "Watch this." But then Magick clearly stirred within Telandra's amulet and soon their was red smoke swirling around the woman. As Vanyla watched the transformation her green eyes widened and her jaw dropped. Standing speechless as the smoke cleared and left the beautiful avian form in place of Telandra. Vanyla could feel the mind of Telandra trying to link with hers and closed her eyes and took several deep breaths as she readied herself for what was to come next.

Telandra waited until Vanyla closed her eyes and prepared herself. With their minds finally linked enough, Telandra started to feed the young girl her view. Taking off from the balcony, she slowly rose through the air. Taking it slow and easy, letting Vanyla feel the breeze as the wind currents passed above and below her wings. Riding them until she was just above the highest point of the temple. Where she did a wide arc around in the air. Much like with Gaelle, she gave Vanyla an aerial view of the city, before coming to rest atop the highest point of the building. Providing some solid foundation as she looked out toward the furthest reaches of the Enclave. Her enhanced vision picking up various animals and critters from afar.
Letting out a cry, she launched off the top and spread her wings. Gliding down the edge of the Temple. Only to pull up a few moments before coming into contact with the balcony. Her descent slowing drastically then, before Telandra landed once more, un-linking her mind with Vanyla's as she transformed back into her human form. Offering the younger woman a smile Did you like it? I hope I was ok?

Her eyes closed tight, not wanting anything to disrupt this feeling. Heights had never bothered her, since she had been climbing trees since she could walk, but this feeling of weightlessness was making her feel like when you go over the crest of a step hill and right before you start going back down. But the feeling of 'down' never came, just this feeling of wind under her and above her. It was fantastic. Her smile was beaming from pointed ear to pointed ear. Vanyla was amazed by the sharp sight as well, seeing so clearly from the top of the temple out into the forest and city. It was everything Vanyla had dreamed about flight and so much more. There was though a brief moment of panic during the decent, but it was soon replaced by joyful laughter as the young woman opened her eyes to see Telandra standing before her again. That was amazing! You are so lucky! Where did you learn to do that? Are there more amulets like that? Is there- Catching herself again, Vanyla took a deep breath to calm herself down, as both her mothers had tried to teach her. Then she bowed yet again to Telandra. Thank you, so much for sharing that experience with me. Though her tone and demeanor had returned to that of a dutiful Sister, the smile had not faded one bit.

The campaign for the liberation of the Bruce's lands went off well as gunships roared overhead, supported by fighter squadrons and armored advances. The warlord troops of this domain seemed to have grown rather overconfident of themselves, resulting in lax security that was overwhelmed easily. They had numbers and stolen technology, acquired by their conquests, but with the additional of droid troops acquired via his campaigns, Lucien was able to persecute a strong offensive. An offensive that struck deep gashes into the domain's security and forced the warlord's troops on a desperate defense. Slowly, word poured in as slave camps were liberated, towns were freed, and persons were taken out of the shackles of oppression and darkness. Armored vehicles led the vanguard as they charged into the fray... the pinnacle of the campaign to a head at the headquarters of the rebel Derek, which was the ancestral castle of the Bruce family.
Artillery was heard off in the distance as it slammed into the grounds surrounding the castle. The rebels had dug into trenches and aimed to wear down their foe. Lucien did his best to keep artillery well out of the range of the Bruce's castle. It was not worth damaging unless Abigail made the call herself. They had encircled the area and were beginning their steady advance once more. Armored divisions committed to the full assault as Jedi nobleman led the charge. Lucien stood, for now, from a vantage point as commands were given via comlink and officers coordinated their advances. Derek was a tenacious foe. Much of his equipment was dated, but still had teeth. Twice, Lucien nearly got cleaved by a sniper in a run down town, left as a gift by the rebels. He wasn't a brilliant man though, this sort of defensive set up would only last a few more hours at best.
The Duke Malvern commands Section 7 artillery to bombard the trenches before the elite 3rd Division could make its advance forward. Lucien gazes at the Bruce castle, the final bastion in this campaign. Derek had chosen his last stand well for either they would rip the walls apart with artillery or a brutal close quarters combat to force their way open. Still, they just needed to apply more pressure before the outer defenses fell and they could make their final assault.
